ALERT : FORGED EMAIL SPAM

Investors Hub has received numerous complaints of spam emails purportedly sent by iHub that are variations of the example shown below. These complaints did not come from iHub users or from people on iHub's mailing list.

These emails did not come from Investors Hub.

An anonymous spammer has hijacked our logo and name and spoofed the email headers to make it appear that the emails are originating from iHub. They did not. These emails originate from some spammer, probably through an anonymous email relay. Investors Hub is not the originator or sender of these emails. We do not know who the sender is.

One blogger has posted several examples of this image-based spam. We have been told that similar spam for this same ticker is gone out under the faked labels of TD Ameritrade and Scottrade as well.

These emails usually contain blocks of random, meaningless text that helps them to evade spam filters.

Unfortunately, as iHub is not the sender there is nothing we can do about it. Hopefully, ISPs will identify the mail hosts being utilized to broadcast the spam and add them to their black lists.

Meanwhile, interested parties may want to take a hard look at the tickers being promoted... and the parties behind said promotions. Just sayin....
