The Scorpion and the Blog

A poisonous little scorpion asks the blog to post a poorly thought out article on the small cancer killing company Northwest Bio. The blog is afraid of being ridiculed by the market, but the scorpion argues that if they don’t post the blog, they can’t get paid. The blog agrees and posts the piece. Soon after, the scorpion asks the blog to post yet again, another ridiculous bash on this little cancer killing company. The blog again expresses his fear of being turned on by the market if he posts another misleading article on the little company, but the evil scorpion argues that if the blog doesn’t post the article, the blog will cease to exist and so too will the scorpion.

The poor blog again agrees and posts the article on Tuesday. But on the following days, more Northwest Bio cancer killing announcements come out leading right up to ASCO, and the scorpion insists again and again that the blog publish his baseless bashes on this company battling cancer. This time, however, the market does indeed turn on the corrupt little scorpion and the blog, dooming them both to live forever in obscurity. When the blog asks the scorpion why he couldn’t just have left the little cancer killing company alone, the scorpion replies that it is his nature to sting, no matter how stupid it might be, and that he can never change.
