In a way, I guess you do have to recognize Mr. Schoell for his tenacity. Archive.org has a copy of the Cyclone website from 2005 at https://web.archive.org/web/20051107024121/http://www.cyclonepower.com/

To date, Cyclone Technologies has completed its initial research and design of the engine, and has already successfully bench-tested single and twin cylinder engines in the smaller power range. Four six-cylinder engines are currently being assembled. Bench testing on these medium scale engines will commence within the next few months. We are well beyond the proof of concept stage.


Nine years later the story is exactly the same. Except, I guess, that tens of millions of other people's money is gone. Water lubrication still doesn't work, the thermodynamics of the "Schoell cycle" still haven't been demonstrated to work, engines have not been tested independently, or even been shown doing any work at all.

Most people would have given up long ago.
