Atlanta Braves shows the team's proposed new ballpark and mixed-use development design in Cobb County. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2017, replacing Turner Field.

It's hard to believe the Braves are ditching Turner Field so quickly but ticket purchases have gone way down. I think the only reasons they are moving out to the suburbs is because it's a safer area for fans to come to. The other reason is who wants to commute back to the city at night after working there all day? I see this happening with other clubs over time. "If you build it they will come" days are gone in my opinion. There will be exceptions like the Dodgers, Pirates, Red Sox and a few others.

Just my opinion.
