I never said "holding" the shares will lower the cost per share nor did I say that selling more shares at a "lower" price opposed to less shares at a "higher" price would make you more money. I said selling them at the "same" price.
If you have and sell 10 shares at $500.00 per share you would have $5,000.00. On the other hand, if you have and sell 70 shares for $500.00 per share, you would have $35,000.00. That is $30,000.00 more.
