Wow

That was a lot of posts.

1. 40,000 sounds high since our Chief Technology Officer only received 50,000 and his resume is hard to top.

2. This talk about Nok wanting the discount is a nice theory, but in reality IDCC will give Nok the discount if it pays in Jan 2004. They may be discussing a lot of things, but the discount is not one of them. IDCC knows the clout that Nok on board paying has on the rest of the industry. If they cratered in NEC and Ericy, they will not suddenly play extreme hardball with Nok. I am proud of IDCC for initiating this contractual aid process and holding Nok's feet to the fire under the contractual timelines. They have finally learned the EU shuffle of negotiating under the guise of good faith and then balking at signing time. All IDCC can do is hold them to timelines because Nok will do what Nok wants to do.

3. All of these statements about voting against one's belief out of retaliation makes shareholder apathy equally attractive because both are illogical.

4. 17,500 options for a controller ought to make personnel agencies happy since ex AA CPA's are selling cars in Houston waiting for the economy to turn around creating a need for accounting employees.

5. Osoesq, sorry to see you go, but hey you have been a good long for years and had a lot at risk. I do not like hearing the "A" word either and if it happens you will look like a wizard.

6. The Proxy fight continues on and on and on. After all of the nonsense that the oldtimers went through, this is merely like gum on your shoes. You brush it off and move on to the vote. The votes will be counted and the losers and winners will move on to the real issues of licensing and collecting royalty. Perception, IDCC has had bad perception for years, but the worm is turning and it is being done through tech savy buy and sell side analysts who could care less about a Proxy fight over 5 mil options. if IDCC secures the licenses and collects the money, these guys will be around and pumping this stock with all their might. Nok is the final catalyst that will dictate many matters to the rest of the industry. The real issues are getting Nok and other 2g payors on board with 3g infrastructure payors such as Nok, Ericy, Nortel, Siemens, Alcatel, Lucent and others I am too tired to recall.

7. Perhaps IDCC and Siemens can form a joint venture for td-scdma with the parent companies splitting the proceeds and getting a piece from Jr., IFX, on the chip side.

My eyes are sore and may tomorrow be a better day for all longs regardless of opinion on #2. The share price went down from 24 to 18 on the insider selling and traded with the market today. I would say that WS expects proxy fights now and the matter is being overhyped on this board. This nonsense will be over June 4, will Nok? Send your proxies and what will be, will be. Either result under #2 is not a sell mandate with what is remaining on the table with IDCC. Watch for the licensing and revenue and be prepared for mostly break even the rest of the year without Nok/Samsung. If Nok/samsung come on board, then this company is on its way. IDCC cannot force Nok because Nok is the biggest and baddest in the industry. Nok exerts a lot of time and energy in coming up with reasons not to pay with everyone, not just IDCC. This is why when they fall and pay IDCC, the whole industry takes special notice. The sell and buy side analysts are aware of this and they are not going to let a cat fight over proxy voting cloud their judgment. Too tired to continue.
