Don't agree. Managers (those promoted from positions at which they excelled but have no particular management expertise) need options to attract employees that excell. Just b/c they were "promoted" doesn't mean they shouldn't participate. I am now a "CEO" having worked for managers in my day, but there is no way I wouldn't participate if they do. I'm not the best CEO, but a lot of them couldn't do what I do, either. Not that they would want to. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
