Energold Mining extends Belem vein strike length

ENERGOLD EXPANDS REAL DE BELEM PROJECT AND ANNOUNCES UPCOMING DRILL PROGRAM

Energold Mining has expanded the Real de Belem silver/gold project in Mexico. A continuing program of rock sampling and mapping has revealed extensive old workings throughout the project and the surrounding area. Mapping of the old workings has increased the strike length of the Belem vein system to at least 700 metres and sampled a 125-metre adit on the San Antonio vein system. The numerous workings demonstrate the existence of multiple high-grade vein systems throughout the area. To ensure control over additional vein systems, a staking program recently completed added another 1,380 hectares to the project, bringing the total number to 1,980 hectares. Exploratory pits and adits are also present throughout the newly staked claim. Assays are pending.

In April, Energold plans to begin a 1,500-metre drill program on the Belem and San Antonio vein systems. The goal will be to verify the existing drill results on the Belem system and expand the company's knowledge of the nearby mineralized structures on the property.

The Belem 1 vein has been tested with an underground decline by the owner and seven core drill holes drilled by Consejo de Recursos Minerales (CRM). Along a strike length of 500 metres, an average depth of 75 metres and a 2.2-metre width, the vein returned an average grade of 2,175 grams per tonne (g/t) Ag and 1.2 g/t Au within a range of 571 to 3,713 g/t Ag and 0.5 to 2.4 g/t Au. Note that these assays reported by the owner and CRM and the assay and sampling procedures may not conform to Canadian National Instrument 43-101 standards.
