i'm with you on this, i don't want to hear how the stock price is gonna fly or going to 'da moon' every other post but there is a sense that...maybe its time to leave this board. i'll just stick to reading news releases.
yes, i have seen and read it. i do appreciate that you've spend all that time to remind us of the ongoing concerns and there is long list of issues to be resolved, i believe that is why the stock price is at a penny.
i must say i am greatful for the new group of investors which have dramatically increased the trading volume and some appreciation of our share price, this may be temporary but i do not want to see the share price go below a penny, as per your post below, greater dilution occurs as stock price gets lower.
all i can say is that as my limited funds become available, i try to do my part in keeping this share price from getting below a penny.
i want to belive that the comment about rs or increasing a/s is an exageration. i know some of you 'longs' are hoping to see sub penny, all i can say is be careful what you wish for, if price continue to detiriorate and dilute, at some point even the most loyal longs will give up and the only people that will benefit from this will not be the folks who step in at well below sub penny as this company will be worth nothing but the folks at marriott, marriott will have a great idea for additional revenues.
we are 1/3 of a/s and we have 'longs' talking about rs, exageration alright.
i wonder myself.
i don't post much but i've been reading tivu's messages for quite a while now and i sure do appreciate you folks that have showed up recently, for the last 6 months its been one negative post after another but what can one say when o/s keep going up, hard not to be negative. sure is nice to be reading a bit of optomism and excitement.
i think so also, the individual casinos may block the other gambling sites but a shortcut to their own is a definite.
another question for you airtrus, what if a casino like wynn's or lv sands wants you to have acess to your internet as if you are at home + a special shortcut icon to their own gambling site, doable? i'd bet the folks in vegas, macau, singapore...would love that!
jd, there is only one thing one needs to keep an eye on, Host property in Philly. Once they are installed, revenues will start to come in, by the quality of revenues we will know the fate of this company. if revenues come in the way our FULL TIME employee and not our only employee projects then alot of problems will be resolved, from more rooms within Host to more contracts with other companies nationally and internationally to dilutions.
ofcourse there are alot of issues, why the heck do you think we are at a penny?! once things become clearer, less uncertainty, on the success or lack of success of this business model you will know if that $200 money order was a wise move or not. gltu.
it's a crime to the company and shareholders. i don't get this logic, so if you are a noteholder, you short to force the price down (a risky play if big news comes out) so that you can convert to more shares, by converting to more shares you are diluting more which in turn hurting yourself, again. it's o.k. in the long term if the price/company recovers but what if the price get so low you end up permanently hurting the company that you own?
they still owe us 500 rms worth of announcement.
thanks. this company tend to 'under announce', with today's news i bet they are trying to close deals with them high level folks at vegas.
not much, just a couple hundred thousand shares, i'd like to get some more, when pay day comes around, so i don't mind prices being low for now. i am getting tired of averaging down thou, its time to average up, what do you think? how much do you have if you don't mind me asking.
one thing i did not include is the margin.
if we go with 5000 rms, $3.5/rm, 35% margin, pe of 20 and 70 mil shares, we are looking at about $0.60/sh.
again, i'm just saying...all speculating here.
i'm glad to be adding shares while they keep coming down but i sure wouldn't mind chasing for shares in the very near future! good luck to you too.
i'll be joining both of you, gltya.
i'd like to add a few comments that may change some of your numbers.
the $3.50/rm/day i believe we can keep that amount to ourselves, using dt contract value of $1.2 mil and when you add advertising making it about 6 times more - the contract is worth about $7.2 mil for 5 years - $1.44 mil/yr - $3,200/rm/yr (450 rms) - $8.7/rm/day - so if you split to 2, i think we can conservatively use $3.50 as ours
as for occupancy rate to calculate revenue, if a big chunk of our rev will be on advertising, why would occupancy rate matter - if we have a high occupancy rate we may charge a higher rate for ads, but how do you calculate that number in. in addition, if we deal in high end hotels, we may charge higher ad rates, then how do you factor that in?
i think using 12 as a p/e ratio maybe low for a fast growing company, but just for being conservative let's go with 12. i also think 100,000,000 shares is too high. anyways, i've looked at 5000 rms by the fall, using $3.5 and 70 mil shares and pe of about 20 ends up close to what you have - close to a buck.
hey jd, we are thinking the same way. as share price keep going down i continue to add, tried to reduce my position in f3 but couldn't so i nickel and dime my way to over a couple hundred thousand shares in the last couple of months. if good news keep coming and prices stay this low i just may dip into my credit line and go 'all in'.
i put a bid @.043 for 20000, i got filled 3000 @.043 and the rest i got filled at .041. i'm wondering why sell to me at .041 when you can sell to me @ .043?
OH SHIT, YOU TOO! I bought some last week, now tivus is really screwed.
i'm not surprised w/ no advertisers yet. we need to know how well accepted ids will be first, will know by the percentage of population that signs on. we know its a small city(Dunwoody) so even with a high percentage the total number of eyeballs will still be small thus potential advertisers may not be that interested yet. If we have a relatively high percentage of users, other cities, especially nearby cities at this early stage, will express interest and contact f3 for this same service, then other states...
further down the road as we get more users, we can have companies that may want to advertise in more than one city (national accounts) and then companies with local accounts, no different from tv ads where you have ads from local stations and nation wide. i'm quite excited about this ids project, i'm sure there will be more crime fighting /safety features added to ids when more cities sign on and have certain requests. i like the idea of a news alert scrolled across the bottom or top of the screen as somebody suggested in one of the news links posted here.
i just asked for an update as to how many have signed up for the first month. we need eyeballs, then ad revenue will come.
thanks again for this very interesting info, sas for independent artists.
http://www.fargotube.com/Search.aspx?severe
quite a few tubes being worked on. unfortunately i don't follow the music scene much, are these artists well known?
hang in there jderaney, just stay focused on the fundamentals. as long as the company keep pushing the fargo idea to the industry and the public. you also live in Georgia, you will probably have a good sense as to how ids is being accepted and from the info you have brought up its looking real good.
the pps might not improve much as the year end is coming up, you know what happens with losses in year end, so brace yourself. as long as the fundamentals are living up to your expectations, then hang in there, if the funhdamentals are not living up to your expectations then you know what to do.
i don't know how but the insurance companies should be involved in this.
great article, can you tell me where you got this from?
we are actually being compared to sites like facebok, myspace...i don't know how much we'll make per user but with enough traffic, ad revenue will be very strong. imagine local and national advertising, with enough eyeballs this will be a huge hit!
that is a major vote of confidence for a company like f3, i really hope that this company make you very rich and if it happens i may get myself that red evo and come say hello.
lol, when i first read that i thought it says 'Huge Contracts'. i'd like to hear more about these 'Huge Contacts'. i did not know about the advertisement sharing, that's a good one, i guess the more subscribers one have the bigger piece of the ad revenue one gets?
did you picked them all up at around 0.008?
at the way its going, $10 may get you more than a few shares.
yup, every pay check i put aside a few bucks and add a few shares.
i guess one big act and if this performer is willing to do it exclusively...ya, still hard to imagine.
i think its time 08evo and his buddy to move this stock again.
i remember that 4 to 8 mil figure. its hard to imagine reaching that in the next couple of quarters.
its eyeballs we want, screw the earnings!
do you remember the big nasdaq bubble 10, 15 years ago? nobody was talking about earnings, it was all about eyeballs.
why am i writing about this? well wallstreet is at it again, look at the market cap of netflix, 8 billion? what did they make last quarter, 7 million? how can a company that charges you 7 or 8 bucks per month so you can watch movies (almost infinite amount) make money? they do but not much and look at the crazy market cap.
another example, youtube make money? i don't know but i bet if they do it ain't much and how much was it purchased for? 1.65 billion about 5 years ago when it was not as big then. the numbers for facebook? billions i'm sure, revenues/earnings?
who knows, maybe fargo will be the game changer, a site that actually makes money and gets rewarded by a healthy market value. i don't know, i guess one have to be patient and see if it happens but like some investors here, i'm getting more and more frustrated each day. but one product that is really getting me excited about f3 is ids, we got about 500 user registration in a few days, to 1400 in about 2 weeks out of a total population of about 30,000? i like this trend, i don't care about revenue/user, we have advertising to help us, what i care are eyeballs. everybody, please keep the board updated on eyeball count for ids.
o.k., rambling over i guess i just needed to vent. sorry for taking some of your precious time.
coverage by mainstream media, that is exactly what we need, the more people discuss this, either pro or cons, the better for us. at this stage any publicity is good publicity.
hopefully folks from other cities will hear about this they may start wondering and asking why they don't have something like this. we may have a hit here.
the the news coverage say over 1400 users at the beginning? that's more than what was reported a couple of days ago (1140).
wow, now this is starting to look real good. you sure are good at pulling up info like this, thank you.
can the fr3 pps take off with ids being the only success or do we need fargo or one additional product?
that's the only thing good about these low prices, i can keep adding and may not take too big a pop for me to consider a 'career' change. let's just hope it does pop.
thanks to you and kingpindg, obviously from the article he feels its the solution to a number of major concerns (95% i guess) with musicians and i think probably the same concerns with independent film makers. ive been adding more shares, i just hope i'm not doing it because i've 'fallen in love with the stock'.
hi jderaney, when you talked to Steve did he get into specifics as to why he is 'extremely excited' about fargo? I'm trying very hard to stay excited about the potential, but i tell ya every day i check fargo and the pps i'm very happy that i'm still employed and can still hope about its potential.
I'm not surprised with the costs on these types of projects.
Nearly $2 billion has either been spent on or committed to Canada's federal gun registry program since it was introduced in the mid-1990s. Annual opearting costs will be about $60 million this year.
I wonder where would we be if f3 spend the same time and effort on IDS as they are with fargo, just not enough resources I guess.
