I believe once the duplicate claims,inflated lawsuits,and unwinding of the derivatives furball are resolved,the new company will be sitting on ALOT more than 30 billion of assets.That being said,I still think the Cap Trusts will get paid in time. I have sold all my Lehman holdings except the K's-being classified as DEBT,we are entitled to payment at some point.I can wait years for this-it appears the majority of the other LEHKQ holders agree with me,as we have seen no massive selloff or bone-crushing drop in PPS. Sure,they took us down to .15 the other day on light volume,but if you have been in this for more than a week you are used to seeing 50% swings on 300 shares traded. Looking forward to new numbers from the company. GLTA

I play alot of BK stocks-Blockbuster may be good for a bounce,but as a business,they are as dead as a dodo bird. No matter what they do to change their business model,they are a day late and a dollar short. Put in a bid for 100k at .103,had to chase it to .105,Zecco filled it all at once for .10385. Go figgure....didn't even knew the went to 5 digits past the decimal.Saved me some beer money,anyway..

We are of like minds. I invest in Blue Chips,metals contracts,options,but I don't short stocks for the same reason I don't buy houses in foreclosure-I think it is bad karma to profit from someone elses misfortune. Alot of folks will say this is silly ,stupid or both,but that is where I am..

If memory doesn't fail me LEHJQ was issued shortly befort the BK,and there is a huge class action suit claiming breach of fiduciary duty-as in issuing 66 million highly rated preferred shares that turned out to be virtually worthless shortly after they were issued. Pilots are a great source for news-their union has infiltrated almost every carrier here in the US,and they have hoards of informers at all levels so as to have no suprises when takeovers,bankruptcies,layoffs,etc happen.Problem is that by the time the rumor/news hits the cockpit,it has gone thru multiple channels,and the data may be old/inaccurate/just a rumor.
