Silver hasd always been "dissed' compared to gold-that's why Judas was given 30 pieces of silver instead of gold-silver being rather scarce in the region 2000-3000 years ago-this is why you see so few Egyptian burial artifacts made from silver
You are missing NOTHING. When China pulls the trigger and cuts off the rest of th world from REE's,we will look like prophets(but with money)I am buying this and QREDF small chunks at a time.A modern electronics economy simply CANNOT FUNCTION without these litle whisps of metals with funny names. Can't be done.As an aside,me and an environmental engineer friend got into a discussion about where the largest concentration of REE"s were-His suprising answer?-"Garbage dumps"He believes we have thrown away so much old electronic equipment that the percentage per ton may one day make it economically feasable to go back and mine these dumps for REE's,among other things.Imagine finding Jimmy Hoffa, encased in niobium...Stay strong,Opto. We will do very well in the long run.Biggest problem is refining-the USA has so many regulations that it might be easier to enrich the ore and send it somewhere else for purification.Imagine the hoops and paperwork involved in starting up a brand-new refining plant..Hell,we cant even refine more OIL.Perhaps someone in Congress will see the light, and push for a plant based on the importance of REE's to our national security.I ramble..glta
Have been sidelined with a broken collerbone-nice to see we didn'ty take a swan dive to the street when silver did it's recent correction.Been holding long and strong for almost 3 years-really proud of the $.17's I bought;takes the pain away from the .78's I got to average up. I'ts all good,imho-I feel that a R/S might just be a good thing in this case-NEVER thought I would actually say that, having seen the wreckage of so many marginal(or nonexistant)companies that have done that-usually so they can change the symbol, sell more shares.blah blah blah...not here.GLTA
Chinee no make steel,no need manganese..we pick up cheepies like so many grains of rice.I do agree with your statement about Europe-in 2008.the laughed like hell at our banking crisis-(they ignored Iceland)-now,I think they are about to have a trip to the woodshed..
That would be a great move, but requires the ability to think 2,3 or 4 moves ahead-NOT the typical style of high-level American management, imho.Hope to get some cheepies in the next few days..
That new avitar of yours -too much Ketamine...
Glad I took my (electronic) money and ran from HL..
Been researching -the technology-the next generation battery will be based on either manganese or vanadium,SOO,I got this one, and plan to add on the dips, and I have a couple of others with large vanadium reserves.Hedging my bets ,as it were..
Thanks for the clarification. Seems new buyers would be in the same boat;otherwise this would have no reason to trade at all, imho
Sounds like me ,living in my farm in rural Tennessee-"Fisherville"-sign says "Welcome to Fisherville"on both sides as you travel the 2 lane road thru town..
Wonder what the status of someone buying this NOW,having missed the filing date..
I'm planning to leave the USA in 9 more years-I envy you. Where are you located?I'm going to New Zealand..
I'm in long-let er drop, would love to accumulate this one..
I have been looking for mutual funds denominated in something other than dollars-of all the BRIC (Brazil,Russia,India,China)countries,I believe Brazil and India to be the safest havens for the future..anybody else on this thread? Lets get this party started..
Concerning a reverse split, can you or someone post a link to any documentation,announcements,etc-there are over 8000 posts on this board;would be nice to refresh the story for potential newbies,as well as confused old farts like me...
Agreed.Nothing beats Kitco when it comes to the business of ANYTHING metallic, from aluminum to zircon..I made a bundle a few years back with rhodium;99%of my DD was from the Kitco site and its links.
I can't get my hands on the article, but Sierra Leone has some of the highest gas prices on the planet if I'm not mistaken.Be great if one of the dredges hit oil, kinda like in the "Beverly Hillbillies".
Added today at .18-never fails;another Faustian bargain..
I like NBRI for the new gold mine-I LOVE it for it's Vanadium holdings-Vanadium is essential to the next generation batteries-first lead, then ni-cad,then lithium-Google "Vanadium battery"-will knock your socks off..
Mark Twain famous quote-"It takes a gold mine to operate a silver mine"
I am hard pressed to find another silver PRODUCER with a p/e ratio this low...adding when I can.Thinking about dumping all my CDE and going all in on this one as far as my pure silver plays..
Any Rhodium plays?Would seem to tie in to your article about all the missed recycling opportunities..One could make a case for buying garbage/landfill companies-in a decade or two, they may be the USA's biggest resource for REE's.imho.
Watched a discussion about the future of batteries for cars-Lead is history,Lithium is about to go the way of the 8-track music player-the smart research money is going into(Drum Roll,please)...Vanadium!!!!!
Been looking for a good North American rare earth company-apparently only Molycorp has refining capabilities in CONUS(so I'm told)-any ideas?RAREF and QREDF have been mentioned-all coments are welcome. I have done well with NBRI and they have vanadium, but it's hard to find a pure-play REE company that has a decent PPS and something more than a few drill holes in the ground.
I love holding shells, especially one like this that wakes up,runs every 6 mos or so for no apparent reason, then goes back to sleep..you play it so as to ride free,THEN you have the equivalent of a Powerball ticket you don't need to keep buying twice a week...this will run again;always does..
Still holding a bunch of the LEHKQ-back of the sock drawer, under the MAD magazines-maybe my grandkids will see something...
Today is my 52nd birthday-Michael Anthony should go ahead and reverse merge this shell with some third world country rich in resources that wants to go public...
L2 is down AGAIN-did someone actually buy 18k shares at this ridiculous ask-almost 50% spread...
Search "Church of the Subgenius."-"Bob Dobbs"
The future can grow without gold-The Electronic Age CAN'T MOVE WITHOUT RARE EARTH METALS-Chinese have a lock on them -(for the near future)-Canada is gonna Xplode in the next 2-3 decades for that reason-my whole reason for going long on this one is the REE potential;the gold gives us traction to get it to market-just my subgenius opinion...LONG LIVE BOB!!!!!
Good to see ya here ,budro..
Good point.I cop to be guilty of wishful thinking...
I can't sleep nights-something in my sorry soul says this gem is getting the PPS beaten down in advance of a buyout-dont give a rats rear end how low it goes as long as I can add-we got a shiiteload of metal in the ground, great infrastructure-the endgame plays out well for the longs regardless..
The gold is great-no complaints-I always said I was in
here for the VANADIUN,not to mention the rare earth"byproducts'-THAT ,my friends,is the REAL strength behind this bad boy....modern tech can shiite on gold;but it cant run withought the wee minerals..have a nice weekend-going to see the Foo Fighters and Motorhead tomorrow night at the Fedex Forum..rock n roll
Would love to add at these levels, but that spread between the bid and ask-.20/.50-no volume at all.
I bought a whole 2000 shares,and the pps jumpped to .075. Pretty tight,imho
"You only loose money if you sell"-no truer words have been spoken.Longs will get the last laugh.
I would suggest you could write comedy, but you nailed this one weeks ago.Stick fast to the monitor,my man.
I did my homework on this one about 18 mo ago-when I decided the long term dollar must inevitably be devalued beyond comprehension to satisfy the national debt of 14 TRILLION dollars,I did two things. First,I have transferred most of my stock holdings to India and Brazilian companies, that were NOT dollar denominated. Secondly,in addition to physical holdings ,I looked for AMERICAN gold and silver producers-I don't want some Bolivian despot confiscating my (partially owned)mines. USSIF has tremendous holdings, good infrastructure, and I've been buying slow but sure ever since. 20 k at .22,5000 shares at .75,6000 in the .50's.... etc -simple dollar cost averaging.I don't mind this dip,as I am in for the next 10 to 40 years, after which I will be dead and my heirs can marvel over my forsight in stashing this one deep in the mattress.
I'm actually happy the silver correction is game on-hope it drops back to the 20's-I'm thinking 10 to 20 years-the national debt is NEVER going to stop rising, and will never be paid off unless Mr Obama has his way and hyperinflates the currency, wiping out the rich(except those of us holding silver and gold)My mother in law is 93,German,and remembers one of her neighbors selling his house for 125 American silver dollars. She has a handful of circa 1922 German currency-"5 MILLION REICHMARKS"-printed on just one side..the storm is inevitable-line your clooud with silver..
