Likemoneythough-
wow! the experts at the cannabis summit published a study that says there's no evidence that legalization encourages marijuana use among youth? incredible!
"What's incredible about that? It's true."
I remember hearing from the cigarette company scientists that smoking cigarettes cured bronchitis and tuberculosis.
"Well, you know that's false, I guess you believe it. What's your point?"
Any teenager can get pot from anyone. probably even their parents. and what a surprise - the researchers are from Montana, Oregon, Colorado and California.
"kids get tobacco, booze, and pills from their parents as well, going back decades. What's your point?"
I'm sure that they weren't Jamaican either.
"great, a cultural reference. Genius!"
wake up longs. all pot stocks will go to "pot" soon.
"I'm sure you're right."
But keep buying.
"Nah, no need to keep buying. I have enough, up 52% this year. "
I'm adding to my short position that I've held (against this boards advice) since end of February. and thanks.
I'm still vacationing on your shares!
"Shares in IRA's are not available to shorts. You are not vacationing on most of the long's shares on here, as much as you want to believe that."
acb up 52% year to date...
yea boy... those shorts are sure winning... not!
Chicago Paul, all your points are well stated and informative.
Good for you selling at 10. Your dry powder may come in handy at 7.10 or so, or lower, in just a few days, get ready, here come the 6's!
I, like many others on here, are investing five years out or more from now, like 2024 and beyond. Some may be cooked if they have a large investment on ACB, and it goes down and they are counting on the money in the short term.
That is your audience, and they embrace your opinions and anger at your every contrarian post. Wonder if this debate will be going on in 2024 on investorshub. By then, I guess the stock will be below 7, or above 7.
If the company goes bankrupt, then all of your prognostications will have held true and you will be congratulated for your expertise from 2019!
This back and forth debate on daily gyrations is irrelevant for 5 year out longs, but gives great folly for those here, including myself. Most folks are captivated by a penny up, a penny down, and you do a marvelous job entertaining and educating each day. Can't wait to see what you have to say in five years. "I was so right, boy was I wrong."
"Don't expect much from this before the next earnings release."
Anything can happen between now and the next earnings release.
"Just wait until the end of summer, and buy as close to the low as you can."
Just wait until the end of summer and you will wish you bought in the 7's.
"I think this could be in the low $6 range by mid-August."
I think this could be in the 8-9 range by August.
CGC reports 6/20.
Plenty of hemp grown in US to support new demand.
Just watched interview with Kramer, Bruce Linton and CEO of Acreage on CNBC. This is not a commentary on whether you like Kramer or not. It's all about taking advantage of the venue, the free PR and being on the national stage. I, like many others, am long ACB. I get the "we all need to be patient" mantra, our time will come. This gushing of accolades for CGC must be killing Cam and Terry. Surely Peltz has something in the pipeline. We'll all cheer and the confetti will fly from the rooftops the day our "Mondelez" type of partnership happens. Wish the press release of a deal hit right in the middle of the interview. That would've been golden.
Thanks for posting Lloyd.
Cam said they would be far more selective in their future M and A.
Surely the new loan from all those high dollar underwriters at the beginning of the year was granted with a specific plan in mind, which will be revealed in due time. Until then, we must be patient.
CTST on all radar screens soon.
You're welcome Harris.
Thanks for info Emit.
Good info, thanks inforthemoney2.
Some may want to check out the yahoo conversations on ACB today. Some interesting observations and a overall different tone from here, which I'll leave to your judgment as to how.
Thanks for the insight Chi-Paul.
So you're selling some shares today Chicago Paul, since its the last day before earnings, or will you wait until the time up to market close on Monday?
How many here really think Canada will roll out the red carpet for imports of Columbian weed?
Seems ACB overpaid significantly for some of their acquisitions, based on current market value. Do you think the underwater businesses will recover, or will have to be a write off? Is there one company in their pool of assets that will make up for the losses?
Received "voluntary corporate action" "tender offer" from my broker today for "APHA" Should I contact investor relations to reject this offer?
Some believe Jim Cramer's the kiss of death, others have a love/hate.
Regardless of how you feel, a lot of folks follow him in the U.S.
Good press is good press.
If you look at tonight's piece, he pauses for dramatic effect,
before say says...
"...."Aurora Cannabis" is number #4
... as if to say..
"....ok, you guys win, you were right all along."
Ok, small celebration here...
Kramer just mentioned ACB for the first time on the air,
in his list of top 4...
Canopy
Aphira
Cronos
ACB
Of course, this is not my order.
Will try to post a link of segment soon.
Thanks Rockhall.
If an investor purchases shares today in TGOD, is that considered on the record for the spinout? It typically takes my broker 2 days to finalize the order.
Does anyone have a link where Cam or Terry appeared on a U.S. news outlet, like CNN, Fox, Fox Business, MSNBC, CNBC, CBS, ABC, etc? I just get the feeling that all the press they get is from Canadian outlets. Nothing against the Midas letter, but....
Their media relations dept. needs to work harder at getting Cam to tell our story through the U.S. media. We can only do so much through word of mouth.
correction 300 million
Dozens of investors would not have committed a a total 300k US in unsecured debt to ACB without knowing what it was going to be used for.
Re: Midas interview. Usually, Cam cuts up with the host and it's a lighter conversation. Obviously, this interview had a different tone, Cam pretty much let him know beforehand he was in a bit of damage control based on the false perceptions from the bought deal. Be patient, we're all here for a reason. Something great is about to happen!
That private debt placement $ could be used to develop industrial hemp farms in the U.S., similar to what Canopy recently did in New York.

Two time trader, you have given us great insight and research.
Hang in there!
Profit takers at 7.50.
Any company that had an eye on taking a stake in ACB is kicking themselves right now, based on the 21% gain the past five days.
171 current job openings at Aurora.

Thanks 2 time trader for all the links.
Hey Mr. Green420, I'm sure all that thai stick you're preaching about will by GMP certified so it will easily sell in medical markets around the world, similar to ACB.
lmao.
Mr. green 329.
Very interesting facts about China's sustainability and prospects for Chinese cannabis development at a fraction of the cost of an Aurora Sky facility. It has already been mentioned here that ACB's cannabis production is under strict quality control. We can debate how much quality control China would have, compare China "tea" vs. China cannabis for export to world wide/consumer/recreational/medical markets, following ACB's business model. This board was developed for investors in ACB to share resources to hopefully make informed decisions. Certainly, not everyone agrees with all the moves the company has made up to this point, those opinions can be freely expressed, that's the beauty of free speech.

This company needs to hire a proofreader.
Cramer likes CGC because of the capital infusion from STZ. 4 billion dollars makes a difference. Once our revenues start hitting the books, and we enter into a few strategic partnerships, the landscape will change.

Could someone please explain how the passing of the farm bill benefits Aurora and other Canadian LP's? It seems to me once the bill passes won't the flood gates open for US producers? Why would they need Canadian CBD?
Thanks for the answers, trying to figure this out.
