No one wants this POS. If you were big pharma, why bother?
A reverse split should make those share price hurdles more achievable.
Has anyone noticed if the new Sarissa "insiders" have purchased shares on the open market. I know they hammered Amarin execs/board for the lack thereof. Apologies if someone has already posted recently.
Surprising news. I mean, what else was there to do other than try to work with Denner to sell the company in the next 12 months and make a boat load on your "hopefully" appreciated options. Strange....
ALWAYS spot on! I love MrMain!!!
I have such a crush on you. Just spot on Mr. Main.
One thing I’ve learned over the past 5 years is Mrmain is always right. Even though he didn’t sell at $25, I bet he was the only one thinking about it while us morons were dreaming of $40 buyouts.
Mrmain doesn’t miss. Never has. Just patiently waiting for his $6/share that he knows is coming.
Lololololo….that Sarissa’s piece is genius!!
Sorry to hear this Captain. Very frequent occurrence in the past few years. You WILL get a nice amount of interest on the refund. Also, if you have further issues/problems, I would call the IRS and ask that an IRS Advocate is assigned to your case. The advocate would be someone specifically assigned to your case who has a direct line to the IRS to resolve issues more quickly. They're very helpful and as a taxpayer who funds the IRS, they're available in situations like this.
Regarding timing, don't be surprised if it takes 3-4 months for receipt and I would call the Service every few weeks to check on status. Things tend to get stalled in the process frequently and the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Good luck!
One-way in that I don't believe the stock will increase if result is positive, but it would drastically decrease if negative.
Yes, I think Mitigate is a one-way binary event.
LoL!! Baker is standing down now only for Denner to make a bunch of money? If they (BB) were even remotely confident that the ball was in Denner's court and he'd execute like MDCO, why in the hell would they sell all of their shares? We're all so beat down and delusional about this company.
Much more likely......there's ZERO, ZILCH, NADA interest from big pharma and the EU launch is going about as bad as it possibly could. $1.18 could easily be the highest this stock will ever see again.
I sold 50k of my AMRN shares on 11/21 to generate a capital loss for tax purposes. I moved the cash over to a boring index fund and am down a few percent since then. I had initially planned on buying the shares back on 12/22. I want to vomit when I look at my balance history in the account, but I've got to say, boring index funds is where I'll live for the rest of my life. I might even be willing to miss out on the buyout to not have to think about AMRN any longer.
Still hold 25k shares in an IRA that I want to puke all over.
The most Amarin thing ever is to not know if Amarin appointed Denner folks in their press release. LoL.
Market has us up a penny on all of the Sarissa excitement. I'd say getting our foot out of the bear trap (intact) is still a very long shot. $5 would be an absolute miracle, especially given '23 headwinds.
My blood absolutely boils as I read Denner's description of what's occurring at Amarin and the pace that they move. How differently we all would have acted in 2019 knowing how these imbeciles operate. They are absolutely content taking the ship down.
I know. He doesn’t have any off days.
God I love you. Everything I’m thinking, you just say eloquently.
Ah, you've sold some. Wise man. What price?
LoL, press release today. These guys are just too much.
Interesting - thanks!
Dude, we're off the tracks and a complete train-wreck. We need follow up trials to prove efficacy that might open up half of Europe (if we're lucky) at this point.
Combo pill is the biggest laugh out there. It's such an AMRN management dangle.
I'm sitting on 7 figures "losses" so this hasn't been easy to admit, but it's reality now.
I don't think big pharma wants AMRN as much as you think. Personally, I'd take a $2B buyout right now, no questions asked. We thought we had LeBron James, but ended up with Kwame Brown. Give me my $5/share for partial Europe, just pretty please tell me there's a buyer willing to pay $2B.
What if Denner’s valuation of the company a year ago is now 1/3 of that number? IMO that’s what has happened, and an orchestrated BO may only get his money back. $2B is still a huge number, especially for this wounded birdie.
Always sound thinking mrmain, but you’re purely buying call options on a buyout at this point. I may do the same btw, but there is ZILCHO chance that Amarin meaningfully grows EU revenues before they’re bankrupt. They’ll finish with somewhere < $10M this year, so aggressive growth might get them to $30M or so next year and a PPS under $1. They’re batting 0 for 100 on execution decisions in the past 3 years, that’s not going to change.
LoL, top 3 post of yours!!
I just meant 0% chance of organic growth getting us to $2+, but I think there's a 100% chance of a BO.
Thanks Raf. We’re watching a car crash in slow motion.
1) 110%
2) no chance of a bounce w/out Denner action
3) Denner knows EU GIA is a fools errand. My guess is he moves quickly here. $4B BO coming in next 12 months after seeing the votes yesterday.
I believe it started at 9am CST, 10am EST correct?
Remember when Thero said they would outgrow the generics and Yee laughed at them?
How it started.......how it's going......
But Marsha, look how pretty I am. No one cares about you, Jan......
$0.95
Pretty telling that they haven’t already, huh?
Agreed, so along those lines, why will EU market be different? I.e. why would EU market have a fast ramp and peak out WAY above ~ 100k scripts? That’s what we’re all betting on as holders at this point.
Nope, that time has come and gone. "Rebuilding value" means raising capital. Are you seeing how the EU "growth plan" is going? It's salvage value time, man.
No, that's not the way forward. The way forward is selling the company. It's literally the only option and has been that way since Dec. '19. For some reason, they didn't pull the trigger when $9B (or whatever) was on the table. Now they're going to end up selling for $3B, if that. The fact that they didn't even bring this up (evaluating all strategic alternatives) on the Q1 call is scary.
I swear to god they're just recycling these PRs now!
Coverage changes are really coming thru strong in the script #s.
