So let me get this straight...Jamie (aka- the short’s hack) has a video, with poor audio quality, of a security guy making statements about the status of the work and the comments of employees, and no one else has seen the video. Is that right?
Put up a link to the $&”@ video so everybody can see it.
This is ridiculous!
Nobody can have my shares
Yes! It has always been about “How Much will it produce” , not, “is it a viable well”.
I want to suggest that this is good news. Clearly they have had unexpected delays. Having thought about it, I would expect unforeseen delays.
I would expect regional conflict and all out war may have contributed to delays. I know this, there are lots of enemies that do not want energy independence for Israel. Lots!
I’m curious to see the markets response. Likely a little bump in the price, then some horizontal movement until the 13th?
Do we know who the third party testing company is?
Blessings everyone.
Does anyone else have a sense that the next 7 days will be historic for Israel and for ZN?
There is so much happening at MJ#1 and ZN hasn't released even a sniff of a message since June 19th. This in itself to seems meaningful due to the fact that ZN has been consistent in their requests for "vertical support" of faithful investors over the years. Now, nothing but crickets.
With all the conflict surrounding Israel (missiles and enemy fighter jets being shot down, the continuing war raging in Syria, etc.) I would expect for the State of Israel to have direct input if not out right control regarding the timing of any PR regarding a world class oil discovery. I would also expect ZN to honor any requests from the Israeli government in this regard.
Blessings to All!

"The full moon on the night of July 27-28, 2018, presents the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century (2001 to 2100). The total phase of the eclipse – called the totality – spans 1 hour 42 minutes and 57 seconds. That’s in contrast to the shortest total lunar eclipse of this century, which occurred on April 4, 2015 and lasted 4 minutes and 48 seconds. And it’s in contrast to 2018’s other total lunar eclipse – on January 31, 2018 – whose totality lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes.
A partial eclipse precedes and follows the total phase of the eclipse, each time lasting 1 hour and 6 minutes. So, from start to finish – on July 27-28, 2018 – the moon spends nearly 4 hours (3 hours and 55 minutes) crossing the Earth’s dark umbral shadow. Wow! That’s a long eclipse."
Tomorrow is a big day. A day before the sabbath and a Jewish holiday, for us all to reflect on our lives. ZN is faithful to send out a PR after trading on a Friday. Let’s see what happens.
I will be working to bring blessing to my employees. I am also praying for the blessing of petroleum for ZN, and all you faithful men who responded to the call of the to invest in this company, with $0 profit.
Let us celebrate now, what God has already done.
Blessings to all...
Geo,
I can recall in years past having my doubts about Brown and Zion, but I've never had my doubts about Israel being an oil rich nation (currently 13th from the bottom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_proven_oil_reserves).
I sold some of my ZN shares and bought shares of 2 other companies drilling in Israel over the years, GNE I still hold, and one that has gone out of business.
In 2015, after GNE got out of the Golan, I decided to check in on ZN, and listened to some comments from Brown via video. I noticed that he was not the same man I remembered. He seemed like a humble man, not the man that set out in the early 2000's wildcatting with his "vision".
ZN, and the man leading this company have grown and I believe are ready for what Brown says he was promised. Go back and listen to the original video of Brown's vision, and the most recent video. You will see the difference I am expressing. This might provide some perspective.
JANUARY OF 2009 - MY FIRST TRADE WAS BUYING 800 SHARES AT AN AVG. COST OF $8.95/SHARE.
I HAVE MUCH TO SAY, BUT I'LL SAVE IT FOR LATER.
ALL ZION SHAREHOLDERS SHOULD STAND FIRM, MAKE SMART TRADES, AND PATIENTLY WAIT. THE MEN LEADING ZN HAVE NEVER LIED OR MANIPULATED, AS FAR AS I KNOW.
THE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE OF ISRAEL HAS GLOBAL IMPLICATIONS AS MOST OF YOU KNOW. IT WILL BE A TRULY HISTORIC EVENT THAT SHOULD NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED. ANY DISCOVERY THAT ACHIEVES THIS GOAL WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT.
THE SHORTS AND THEIR SHENANIGANS WILL FAIL MISERABLY.
ALL OF THIS IS MY HUMBLE OPINION.
TISDAL, yes, you hit the nail on the head. The SEC in its oversight role is making certain that there is no impropriety, especially given its NEW status on the Russell 3000 too.
I suspect the SEC was requested to investigate by institutional investment companies, June 21st, right? As institutions were preparing to trade on June 22nd. Think about the timing. The unique composition of the shareholders, and the nature of the faith based company and leadership would not fit the paradigm of institutional investment companies and their R3K the resulting trading. The SEC would certainly react to inquiry from these institutions.
Think if you will, how much more confidence there will be in ZN once the SEC discovers that everything has been done as it should. It sets the table for greater confidence in the market simultaneously with the announcement of the ZN MJ#1 discovery.
We will look back and see that this SEC event will actually be a blessing for ZN and it’s shareholders.
Blessings to all!
I am Long ZN and my views are only my opinion. Everything I say is mere speculation.
Trade at your own risk.
Friends of Zion...I have no special knowledge of the SEC investigation.
With eyes wide open, I must say this is highly suspicious and highly irregular, especially now. Here is what I found regarding the fact finding from the SEC website:
QUOTING Emphasis is my own.
"How Investigations Work
The Enforcement Division assists the Commission in executing its law enforcement function by recommending the commencement of investigations of securities law violations, by recommending that the Commission bring civil actions in federal court or before an administrative law judge, and by prosecuting these cases on behalf of the Commission. As an adjunct to the SEC's civil enforcement authority, the Division works closely with law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and around the world to bring criminal cases when appropriate.
The Division obtains evidence of possible violations of the securities laws from many sources, including market surveillance activities, investor tips and complaints, other Divisions and Offices of the SEC, the self-regulatory organizations and other securities industry sources, and media reports.
All SEC investigations are conducted privately. Facts are developed to the fullest extent possible through informal inquiry, interviewing witnesses, examining brokerage records, reviewing trading data, and other methods. With a formal order of investigation, the Division's staff may compel witnesses by subpoena to testify and produce books, records, and other relevant documents. Following an investigation, SEC staff present their findings to the Commission for its review. The Commission can authorize the staff to file a case in federal court or bring an administrative action. In many cases, the Commission and the party charged decide to settle a matter without trial.
Common violations that may lead to SEC investigations include:
Misrepresentation or omission of important information about securities
Manipulating the market prices of securities
Stealing customers' funds or securities
Violating broker-dealers' responsibility to treat customers fairly
Insider trading (violating a trust relationship by trading on material, non-public information about a security)
Selling unregistered securities.
Whether the Commission decides to bring a case in federal court or within the SEC before an administrative law judge may depend upon various factors. Often, when the misconduct warrants it, the Commission will bring both proceedings.
Civil action: The Commission files a complaint with a U.S. District Court and asks the court for a sanction or remedy. Often the Commission asks for a court order, called an injunction, that prohibits any further acts or practices that violate the law or Commission rules. An injunction can also require audits, accounting for frauds, or special supervisory arrangements. In addition, the SEC can seek civil monetary penalties, or the return of illegal profits (called disgorgement). The court may also bar or suspend an individual from serving as a corporate officer or director. A person who violates the court's order may be found in contempt and be subject to additional fines or imprisonment.
Administrative action: The Commission can seek a variety of sanctions through the administrative proceeding process. Administrative proceedings differ from civil court actions in that they are heard by an administrative law judge (ALJ), who is independent of the Commission. The administrative law judge presides over a hearing and considers the evidence presented by the Division staff, as well as any evidence submitted by the subject of the proceeding. Following the hearing the ALJ issues an initial decision that includes findings of fact and legal conclusions. The initial decision also contains a recommended sanction. Both the Division staff and the defendant may appeal all or any portion of the initial decision to the Commission. The Commission may affirm the decision of the ALJ, reverse the decision, or remand it for additional hearings. Administrative sanctions include cease and desist orders, suspension or revocation of broker-dealer and investment advisor registrations, censures, bars from association with the securities industry, civil monetary penalties, and disgorgement.
Friends of Zion...If Zion is on a major oil discovery as I suspect, the state of Israel and IDF may put their national security interests in front of the interests of ZN shareholders. Ex: see GNE, circa 2015-2016
When it’s time to get paid we will get paid. Until then, hold your shares and be patient like you won’t be paid.
A world class discovery would be a game-changer on a magnitude of scale that we haven’t seen for Israel since 1967 Six Day War. The eyes of the world will be turned towards Jerusalem and the glory of Zion. (Dispensation ending event, perhaps). Just saying....
On July 27th - There will be a very nice full “Blood Moon” in Israel. FYI

Zion was added - see additions for 2018 at the address below. Zion is at the bottomand the rebalance was scheduled for the schedule below
http://www.ftserussell.com/files/support-documents/2018-final-russell-3000-index-additions
The 2018 Russell US Index reconstitution schedule is as follows:
* May 11 – “rank day” – Russell US Index membership eligibility for 2018 reconstitution determined from constituent market capitalization at market close.
* June 8 – preliminary US index add & delete lists posted to the FTSE Russell website after 6:00 PM US eastern time.
* June 15 & 22 – updated US index add & delete lists posted to the FTSE Russell website after 6:00 PM US eastern time.
* June 22 – reconstitution is final after equity markets close.
* June 25 – equity markets open with newly reconstituted Russell US Indexes.
I recall a rebalance of the Russell in 2009, I thought ZN had struck oil for sure. The price tripled in a few days from around $6 to almost $18 then retreated to the basement for years.
If you go back and look at that chart, the stock rallied for days. I don’t think we are close to the end of the price action and volume. 10 million shares at $3.85 is Chump Change to these institutions.
Go look at the chart from 2009 (price spike) to see what happens next week. It’s going to be fun, but not as fun as watching the price when they announce a world class discovery of oil.
Blessings to All
Friends of ZN ...If you’ll allow me, I wanted to briefly share my ZN journey. You can stop reading if you like.
- I am grateful to have found this message board and share in the ZN journey with you.
We all have a profit motive, but I want to also express what an amazing blessing it will be for the nation of Israel when oil is discovered achieving the ZN goals for energy independence. It has at times been a bit lonely holding ZN the past 12 years, continuing to invest, without a profit and only dry holes to show for it,
At some point along the way, I realized that it was a miracle that ZN hadnot folded up and my shares still had any value. Holding ZN shares this long violates every investing fundamental I know. Nevertheless, I continued to hold and buy more when the company asked for funding to keep drilling.
This new license, and MJ#1 well has been very different with respect to the other 4 explorations, not just from the results to date, but with regard to the operational effectiveness from the beginning. No major incidents, and no hindrance due to funding. It felt like they knew what they were doing for the first time.
The price will go up and go down...UNTIL the oil is brought forth from the ground, in large commercial quantity. As the company has stated, “be patient”.
I invite you to prey with me for success of ZN as the vision of energy independence for Israel becomes reality and we can share in the profit it creates for investors.
Praise be to the One, in Three Persons!
Friends of ZN...I appreciate the honest discussions here. Its quite refreshing. One small note that most of you likely know already regarding Israeli oil hunting...
I discovered Genie Energy (GNE)(Long) a few years ago while researching the oil and gas exploration in Israel and Levant Basin. In 2015, GNE made some amazing claims regarding discovery of oil in Golan Heights 6 BBL. I think they shut down any production, and capped the well not because it was not viable commercially, which was the official statement, but because the discovery of oil in the Golan would initiate a regional war if not global. Just look at who was added to the board of directors after the "discovery". It may be one of those companies worth watching in the coming months/years to see what happens, and their success bodes well for Zion.
Blessings to All
Friends of Zion...
Any and all PPS analysis I have done is based solely on a best guess based on the comparable prices of similar oil and gas exploration companies, which there are not many of.
There are many more factors to be considered in order to provide a comprehensive PPS analysis, most of which cannot be calculated until there is actually an operating company that is producing hydrocarbons and selling them. Royalties to Israel and other factors are to be examined by professional analysts. Not me.
At the end of the day, it will be net earnings that determine the final PPS, and the markets view of the company and its probable and possible oil reserves.. I believe the designation for this is the P2.
The fact that ZN has no debt, and relatively few outstanding shares makes any discovery more meaningful on a per share basis than comparable companies. Any commercially viable discovery of oil more than a few hundred million BBL will be a game changer and propel Zion to a new horizon, a billion or more BBL would be an exponential game changer. Anything larger than 10 billion BBL and it’s anybody’a guess at this point.
I believe they found oil or gas and will be able to continue operating and generate earnings. That’s all any of us should expect as shareholders. If they find something amazing, then, well, it will be amazing to see what happens.
Friends of Zion...I have previously worked on Per share pricing analysis based existing comparison of proven reserves from other companies. Example is Anadarka Pet. 1.7 BBBL = $30 billion market cap for 532 million shares outstanding. At $60/BBL.
For 1 billion BBL of oil, based on the outstanding shares of Zion, at $60/BBL, your looking at $67.70/share. LOOK FOR THE P2, for probable and likely reserves. This is the defining mark for the discovery.
A P2 of 44 Billion BBL would be an amazing discovery and $2,980 PSP for ZN once it all settles out.
The political ramifications of any discovery of more than 1 Billion BBLs of oil would be enormous for the region.
44 Billion and the world will go nuts over the discovery. Israel would be the focal point of the entire world for a long time.
It amazes me that Israel is 7th from the bottom of all the countries in the world for fewest oil reserves .
It makes sense to me now, why. If Israel had oil reserves like its neighbors, people would have been going to Israel for reasons other than their faith in God from long ago.
The status of Israel is about to change forever. IMHO
BLESSINGS TO ALL
Friends of Zion Oil. I am Long ZN, and have been for more than 12 years. Read Joel Rosenberg's book and got involved with ZN and Genie Energy among others exploring in Israel many years ago. Have made little or no profit, but continue to invest in ZN.
I have been in discussions recently with a personal friend, who is an independent contractor in another part of the world. He is an experienced petro engineer in the oil business for many years, and very good at it.
I have been picking his brain for information based on what we know are the facts coming from the company for several weeks. I reported to him the statements made regarding pressure and temperature from the SHM. I am not a professional investor, but am simply a believer in the mission of ZN and wish them great success. I bought more shares of stock this afternoon because I know they have made a discovery - and I know it will produce commercially, IMHO. God's blessings to everyone...even the ZN Shorts.
His reply to my statement about 7500 psi and 162C is below:
**********************************************************************
Just getting ready to leave office and saw your message so I will be brief.
The pressure and temperature values do not mean much by themselves. What we really want to hear about are whether any reservoir fluids were produced (oil, water, gas) and if so at what rates and for how long.
7500 psi is likely the wellhead pressure. A high value like this is positive in that it indicates that the reservoir has good communication with the wellbore resulting in the high wellhead pressures at the surface. It does not give any indication of what type of fluids might be in the reservoir.
162 C most likely refers to the bottom hole temperature. Although BH temperatures are useful for other purposes this does not really give us any insights into what type of fluids the well might produce.
Not really related to the above but just for your education, Kerogen (organic matter) needs to get above about 400C to begin generating hydrocarbons. This is not necessarily an issue in this case because any hydrocarbons that might be present in this onshore location would have migrated (percolated laterally) from source beds located offshore deeper in the basin where depths and temperatures were favorable for hydrocarbon generation as evidenced by producing offshore fields.
Let me know if you hear anything else. Always happy to share what I know and my thoughts with you.
