A very similar case was dismissed in 2009 involving DOCSIS & 5 cable companies, was in Delaware too. I am aware we have different patents won in PTAB hearings, which is good.
https://www.multichannel.com/news/cable-prevails-patent-case-over-docsis-128312
There have also been Canadian & European companies trying to sue the Cable Co’s for very similar technology.
Then there is the guy:

So @ trial it might not be a slam dunk. w/ all the tech jargon, trademarks, inventors, patent for this or that... who knows
lookin forward to sayin “winner winner chicken dinner!”
couple of my friends just bought a bunch, told them better get in now, this is the real deal Holyfield!
See why UOIP has to pay for the purchase of Chanbond by October 2020, because they know what they’re doing. $5,000,000 due by October 2020. They knew that’s more than the longest possible time this battle/trial could be drawn out too.
this thing could drag on for years. If it goes to trial and Chanbond wins, the cable companies can appeal the trial 2 times. If Chanbond wins it should be in the news & @ least that will make the stock go up quite a bit. Now in the past I was thinking why hasn’t a company like Google bought out Chanbond, bc Chanbond isn’t worth anything until they prove patent infringement in court & win. So the only companies that have a reason to buy out Chanbond are Comcast or Charter Communications.

Chanbond must have the buyout price set so ridiculously high, like y’all have estimated in the Billions, or they would have already been bought out. Companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, even Comcast themselves would have been all over this, to own the patents to this technology would fit into there business perfectly. With Chanbond winning all these PTAB hearings & what not, this is gonna be huge. The cable companies r not the only 1’s infringing, it’s worldwide. Such a complicated & specialized case it’s crazy. We should find out something this year sometime. & It’s so strange not a bit of info on this is in the mainstream media.
this has been posted many times. link to the important dates

we could play a round of golf or go to Top Golf as well.
get a few luxury suites @ Cosmopolitan or Aria & then u can walk to any club or attraction on the strip. Party bus wouldn’t hurt, u can Uber over to the Fremont St Experience. & I know the best Taco trailer in the ghetto that has thee best al pastor street tacos. & Definitely an evening @ a strip Club. There r attractions like the high roller Ferris wheel & the Mob Museum, Vegas shows or concert, gun ranges where u can drive tanks & shoot cannons... definitely too much fun here, adult playground, plus drinks r free if u r gambling & weed is legal.
I have been quiet on this board but I check it several times a day & have been following & holding some UOIP for just over 1 yr now. I also have been living in Las Vegas for the last 1.5 yrs. I’m not a big investor but if UOIP hits as expected I should have a little extra cash too throw around, so if there is a meet up in Vegas I will be there, plus I’m getting to know the area pretty well.
freerollin’ UOIP not sweatin’ long soon
$0.97 mid December
There getting ready, here we go. UOIP$^!

will my $ still be there?
Chanbond is listed here as one of the more interesting, but notice how it gives no description or extra info like the others, not surprised.
I had 3 locks, 0.69, 1.39 & 2.18. On 9/19 the 0.69 & 1.39 were rejected but not the 2.18. This makes me think something was going on behind the scenes, maybe there was a small leak & the stock was suppose to get somewhere between 1.40 & 2.18 & then the SEC was not having that.
2 of 3 of my lock sells were rejected by E*TRADE.
buying stock is gambling, do what u want.
the cat’s out the bag, buy buy buy now all u can. UOIP$
just lock it, then stay off of here.
just heard the story is about to break on the news, finally. woohoo!
not here to discourage but I don’t think UOIP has a rock solid case, like some of u have been saying all this time. Reasons I think: cable giants, politics, have endless $, about 13 of them, DOCSIS network has been in place since 1997 for the cable co.’s UOIP is suing on later versions & patented improvements, so I think a settlement of 5-10billion is unrealistic. It’s not even close to a guaranteed win just bc they won PTAB’s. I think it will go to trial, there are so many more specifics & technical laws that many of u have not spoken of. What happened to a guaranteed settlement by mid June, in the home stretch right? But I am here long hoping to make a little change, I have already made 6x my initial investment, cashed out some & have bought more. There ya go I said it, now just tear this apart let’s go.
long $UOIP$
exactly see what I mean. Everyone read what I wrote. Clearly says Chanbond has the patent rights???
Zomby u did clarify this for me u just said it wrong. So now I now UOIP is suing for the rights that improved the speed of DOCSIS, not the complete technology, thank U very much sir.
I hate when people misinterpret/misread your post. I did not say Chanbond invented DOCSIS, I said they have the patent to it. Inventing & Patent r 2 totally different things. Zomby please read again. I been following this board since the beginning of the year & this is why I don’t comment a lot bc people misread & start chat room arguments.
what happened to $5.00 a share? Have u ever googled “DOCSIS 3.0+” & read the Wikipedia info on it, kind of interesting. I know UOIP won all the patent challenges & has a very strong case. Maybe I just haven’t done enough research, DOCSIS has been used since 1997 & was developed by CableLabs. DOCSIS 3.1 was released in 2013, & DOCSIS 3.1+ in 2016. So Chanbond got patent rights before anyone else did? This is an international telecommunications standard, so the Cable companies definitely have an argument too, that’s why it might go to trial.
was searching tech news sites for some news on this & there is not a damn thing, they block it really well, right, somebody has to know something. I did find this very short article; Charter is doomed.
https://gizmodo.com/?q=Cable+company+lawsuit&u=&zo=
found some interesting article but were irrelevant.
just seen this not sure if anyone posted a link yet

sold some off @ 0.038, feels good. I still have 3x that amount left.
jump on the gravy train & let it ride!
I’ll be very happy making $10,000 off my initial $60 investment, since I’m broke. Then if for some reason there is corruption, I only loose $60. But really I already took profit & bought back in so it’s a win-win situation.
U set a price to sell an amount of shares, good for 60 days, when the stock hits that price the shares r automatically sold. I guessed a price of $2.09
If there is a settlement/buyout the stock could go up to that price. I don’t think it will get as high as $5, but anything is possible. with all the Lawyers & court fees that come out of the settlement; under $2.50 is a good guess. And locking up prevents more shorting or so I’m told on here.
probly was a Comcast lawyer, lol!
more like $10bil+ homie!
$$$
they’re just constantly buying & selling, makin $, probly thinking the settlement won’t happen for at least 2-3 more weeks (or 2months), if they see it dip back down to 0.021 then they buy back in.
It’s not as simple as dividing by the # of shares there are many different factors. Who knows what the outcome will be like others have said before maybe UOIP will still be in business using the patents or receiving royalties. We just have to wait & see.
I haven’t researched any #’s as far as buy-outs/settlements but I think there is no way in hell its gonna go from 0.023 to 5. I’ve had my shares locked in @ 2.43 for over 30 days now. The lawyers get a good chuck of the $ & dude still has to pay for Chanbond. Just a good guess, my opinion.
