IMO. Hold onto your APE shares. The price may go up a little in the next few days. The threshold deadline is almost over. Take control out of their hands and put it into ours by force close out.
This is the reason why I said hold Ape until everyone gets theirs. Look at all the havoc it has caused so far. My concern at this point is the option chain they keep trying to put on it. As I understand it, it's illegal to put an option chain on a preferred share. That hasn't stop them from trying.
I do think any foreign APE who has not received their preferred shares yet should politely call their regulatory bodies demanding an answer as to why...record it...post it and contact their news agencies. Ask if American wall street is targeting them because they are foreign and if the anemican markets are a trustworthy institution and whether or not everyone should pull their money out. Maybe our government will respond to that...if foreign governments/citizens are involved.
If I may,
For those who have received their APE share by trading on Monday. Please resist the temptation to sell your APE shares before everybody else has received theirs. It is a synthetic share proof test. For those who do not understand. If you sell your APE shares before others have received theirs, the hedge funds will buy them up and give them to those who haven't received them yet. Some brokerages have already said their will be a two to five day delay. Why? They have had fifteen days to prepare for it. In my years as an investor, I have never had a dividend or split delayed. Never!
This is the synthetic proof test we asked the for.
By the way, I have 3 different brokerages. I called and was assured all my stocks were real and I recorded the conversation. As of yet I haven't received a single APE share.
Best wishes to all and get some epic AMC prices on your sell's. This is and you are all now part of stock market history. I'm sure a movie will someday be made about it.
I just called Fidelity. They assured me that the shares will show in the account by opening on Monday. They already have verification of it. They also said there is no institutional trading on weekends. That is in response to a claim a "youtuber" made.
There is so much confusion around the ape share. My concerns. Only 512 million or so are to be released to the holders of real shares on record. We believe as a group that a great deal of synthetic shares have been floating around. No one at this point knows if they are holding synthetic shares or real shares. So don't be suprised if on then 21st, that you don't have as many ape shares as you anticipated if any at all.
So, are those holding synthetic shares suppose to get nothing and at the same time watch the value of what their holding drop to half once the ape shares are distributed? Who are they supposed to talk to. Their shares aren't real.
This is why I think the ape distribution needs to be delayed until Adam Aron addresses the issue as well as how to deal with fractional shares.
#CEO AA delay ape to q4. Please!
Hold long and strong. Remember there are alot of buyers who couldn't afford many shares but also need money to survive what's coming. We help eachother as best we can. Congrats. I believe we are on the last leg of the race.
I'm rather new to GME. I'm part of the AMC crowd for over a year now. I know the brackets for AMC, but not GME. Is there a general consensus for GME brackets/range?
Good luck to your family during this trying ordeal my friend. Your in our thoughts.
Suggestion. Everyone should watch "The big short", even if you have seen it and it's been a while. It's similar to what we are facing today. A near totally corrupt market where they all have eachother back.
It really hit home watching it again.
Congratulations U.S gov. SEC,DOJ. Your inactions have destroyed the credibility of the market. Pure cowardice. Their choice was hyper-inflation or market crash. They found a third way, screw the every day retail investor, soften the crash by taking their money all the while asking for donations.
I still believe in this play. I bought 25 yesterday and 30 today. Remember, the other side of this trade is looking at vaporization, job loss maybe career loss during an upcoming recession /depression. They will fight for survival. They have families/loved ones too.
40,000 shares. Wow! That's fantastic. Congrats. Best wishes.
I believe someone has tried to get people working in the same direction by leaving a still holding message as the price rises. That seems easy enough.
At this point I think their strategy is "screw it"! They are going for the government bailout. Personally I hope to hell the gov. for once doesn't bail the crooks out. Like everyone else, if you screw up, you lose the business.
I'm holding and have bought more for the last couple of weeks as my finance allows.
# I'm still holding and buying more.
If Citadel has broken the law, then their clients may have a legal means of pulling their money out. Just a thought and an idea to Citadel clients. Do you really want to sit by and watch your money vaporate. In the meantime, Citadel clients, hedge your bets, buy AMC !
I too knew the markets had an element of corruption. I have to admit, I was unprepared for just how deep and wide spread it is. I too have also thought of pulling all my money out of the market until it straightens out. I have been looking for alternatives like farmland, income producing real estate.
I do feel there are some great companies who are on the up and up, so I may still stay with them. There are some in the community who are great at navigating the markets. Hats off to them. I'm not one of them.
Ok thanks.
Community question. I really do not know the answer to this. If as they say, brokers have been lending out everyone's shares, is it possible there would be a swap of legitimate shares with synthetic and then returning into your account synthetics. ..in essence giving the real shares to the hedge funds. It may be a dumb question, but I though I'd ask just the same.
Do I have to say anything about the "do not buy" strategy at this point? OK let me say it directly again. The price will drop like a rock. The hedge funds have enough resources to set whatever price they want. You would think that alone would be illegal in a free market.
There has to be enough buying pressure to counter the downward pressure...else the price tanks.
Yep. Like I said. You stop buying and the hedge funds will step in and drive the p rice down to the ground and kill the squeeze. I watched later lou videos on the topic. He kept mentioning mobile free apps. So buying from more established brokers is probably ok. I bought some more today. I use Fidelity.
Well put.
Ok. I backed Lou for a while. I heard most of the significant events from him first. Others followed. When he said stop buying, my mouth dropped. If his intent was just to show that Citadel was the only one buying and selling from itself. It would have been apparent. SEC wouldn't do anything in my opinion....so what's the point.
1. He already told us this a few days earlier that they were one of the only ones out there buying and selling.
2. He needs to clarify why he thinks citadel won't crash the price and in effect take away the buy button.
As far as I can tell, if we did as he suggested, Citadel would crash the stock at a breathtaking pace, kill the squeeze and rob millions of investors due to the significant losses. Unless I'm missing something.
Yes. I think they might just try to pass laws to do just that. I'm holding my breath waiting for that hammer to fall.
I personally got a kick out of the Feds trying to lay blame on AMC and GME retail investors. Talk about deflection. The truth as we all know is the nefarious acts of Citadel and the numerous other entities with their over leveraging of stocks. The same type of practice during the 2008 mortgage crisis.
Don't let them place blame on you. You were smart enough to see a play, buy a stock and hold, waiting for a good pay out. That's it!
He is CEO of a company. His responsibility is to the viability and success of the company. Not your MOAS!
He has been a good sport about it and has listen to the shareholders. He is trying. We are about the same age, so I understand his need to take some off the table. He is too old to take that kind of risk and you don't know what's going on in his life. There may be huge medical bills for all we know. It is a small bump, if you can afford to buy some of them up .
Just a quick point. Psychological warfare. Being hyped up every day by social media that this is the day or this is the week, will eventually lead to disappointment. It may be enough to shake weaker hands out. Trust the process. It will happen in due time. They are not going to roll n over and hand you their money without a fight.
Look at what we as a group have accomplished already. Take pride in that. Hold strong.
Just a few words of wisdom. STOP attacking one another. This I s a strategic tactic to weaken an opposing hand. Why? If you start mistrusting and attacking one another, you will have no confidence in sell points and cash out early. That's just what the other side wants. Lou was attacked the other day, words were used that he did not say making him look like the bad guy when he is trying to help and by the way, playing another side stock so you can increase your capitol to oh let's say...buy more AMC is a good thing. Isn't it? A tactic Lou had suggested for those short on cash or to help with rent c while waiting for the AMC squeeze.
There is a picture I saw of one AMC holder helping another one climb. That's what we need. They have to buy your shares. You literally are holding a Royal Flush. Watch the people you trust to tell you when the squeeze has started and when they believe it's nearing the top. Make your own sell decision based on the analysis of the squeeze. Let's all throw down our Royal Flush at the best time. Strong hands help lead the weak ones.
I hope we all receive life changing money.
Stop fighting one another. ..it's a tactic. It has only strengthened my resolve. In short...more then a few words I guess. I'm pissed off at the HF now.
Come on guys. Quote your info accurately. Lou is big on AMC. He also has Clov and a number of others. So do I. These are money plays. He said he bought more AMC. I bought more as well. I have 10 plus other stocks. It is foolish in my opinion to have all your eggs in one basket.
He didn't sell any of his AMC and neither have I, so where is the damage.
The real problem is AMC holders attacking eachother.. .dividing the house.
Yes, Lou is worth watching. Get passed the language, be entertained by the stories. When he gets focused in the markets there is a lot of wisdom and he has been right for the videos I watched.
Todays Friday, expect another stock attack. Buy the dips if you can. This play will soon be a runaway unstoppable train.
Asking for 25 million shares is reasonable. It is far better for the company when running a business to have some shares then a few. It gives them more options/leverage when running the company. I was no on the 500 million ask, but the 25 million is reasonable and I will be yes on that.
Thanks. Your right this isn't talked about enough and I am not sure how to play it. I'll look for the article. It would be nice if their were some examples from experienced players ie. 100 shares, 300 shares 1,000 shares which would probably cover most the investors in this stock.
I said it before. It is pertinent now more than ever. IGNORE THE NOISE! When the news seems overwhelming negative, just remember that people are dying to go out to the movies as recent ticket sells prove. The stock price will only go up as a result.
I ignored the noise and bought more shares today.
If you can afford to, hold! This stock is a winner either way. As theaters open, the stock will rise...that's a win. Hold for the squeeze and resist the urge to sell. We are in control once that happens...again a win. Do not pay attention to the noise.
Well put. For those who use the analogy that we are going to war with the hedge funds, your battle sword is time and your strategic field advantage is holding on to the power. In this case it is a no vote on the upcoming share increase. The CEO is watching out for his and the companies interest, as it should be. We need to watch out for ours. This can literally be a historic squeeze that is written about, but we must stick together as a whole for the battle.
I voted no on the increase in shares. After the squeeze, they can bring it up again and at that time, I will be alright with it.
I agree with a no vote. They can ask again for the shares after the squeeze (for any still holding). The fact is, they can change their mind anytime. We are in a position of strength if we hold the reins. I voted no.
Just heard from legal reps. Their will be no distribution to shareholders and no reissue of stock to shareholders. Check with your tax person for loss declaration. I'm out @ 71,000 shares and in my opinion the way it unfolded was a tad dishonest.
Heads up for those who don't know. I didn't. I use fidelity to purchase stocks. When it came to penny stocks I could not buy more than 4,999 shares at at time; thus incurring a $4.95 fee for every batch I bought. I'm mentioning this because I see a number of orders that are the same I.e 100 at a time. If you call your brokerage firm and ask to be coded for penny stocks, your upper limits will be removed and you can save on those multiple fees they charge.
I apologize for those who knew this already.
