doug c-I am guessing EOL means "End of Line". Maybe Oily is referring to buyout???
There is also a premium service that tracks rig locations. I don't know what the cost is.

petemantx-I e-mailed Addax investor relations to find out if they knew how to tract the AA. The person who responded did not know but suggested that I contact Aban. I have e-mailed Aban several times but they do not respond to me. I have asked Dan Keeney to see if he can check with Aban.
The information I posted last week about the AA being 1/2 way to Capetown and scheduled to arrive in Capetown on Jan 12th I received from Jeff Mitchell at Vanco Energy.
You might try to e-mail Jeff.
jmitchell@vancoenergy.com
Aban Abraham is about half way to Cape Town South Africa and is expected there on about January 12th.
I sent an e-mail to Jeffery Mitchell at Vanco asking if he could update me on the status of the AA and received the following response:
"Vessel is roughly half way to Capetown as of this date, expected there on approx 12 January."
It should be only 10 - 15 days sailing from Cape Town to Gulf of Guniea at 10 knots. I don't know if there is a scheduled layover at Cape Town.

Everyone should listen to Jimmy Rogers Bloomberg interview on commodities including oil.

jake1279-Why the sudden interest in ERHE??
Strass-I thought that you implied by your statements the we could lose it all. My mistake.
"You are very fortuneate to have that many shares and that much invested where it will not impact you if you lost it all. However, many are not so furtunate and will be heavily impacted if they lose it all?"
Strass-Do you really believe that the stock price could go to zero?? Do you think there is not oil in sufficient quantites for commercial production? Do you believe that drilling will never happen?
Good news should be the annoucement that the AA should be sailing for West Africa this week. Way behind schedule but finally it will be on its way. Once it arrives and we can see how long first well takes to drill we can estimate when Addax will get the rig.
Strass-You should have expressed your concerns and asked the quetions you state on the board daily on the CC. Maybe next CC you should make you list of questions and concerns and ask them.
Strass-Express your concerns on the CC.
I have e-mail Aban quite a few times times. They never respond.
Strass-Thanks for your answer. I guess we both should have sold at higher prices.
Strass-I have always hoped for better results. Hopefully they will come it time. I never thought the price wouble be this low again. If I had thought the price would be this low again I would have sold earlier and bought back. What I don't understand is that if you really thought the share price would be this low why did you not sell some at higher prices. I have asked you this question several times but you never answer.
If you listen to the whole interview with Michael Hartnett of Merrill Lynch he is predicting the possibility lower oil prices in the near term but an average oil price of $50 for the year as the world economy snaps back, Also Merrill's Francisco Blanch, head of global commodities research indicated today that they are predicting a average oil price of $43 for first quarter of 2009 and $50 for year.
If you listen to inverview's listen to the whole thing do not just pick up on the headline which is written to catch the eye (Examples: Oil to go to $200 - Oil to go to $25)

Prices or Oil and ERHC before announcements of awards for JDZ Licensing Round and signing of PCS contracts.
Dec 1, 2004 Oil = $41.47 - ERHE = .42
Dec 1, 2005 Oil = $53.43 - ERHE = .34
walldog0-I would doubt that arbitration costs that much. They do it all the time in major league sports. I wonder if the cost of the arbitration between ERHC and ADDAX is in the 10Q. I will send an e-mail to Dan Keeney and see if he knows what the cost was.
Spec29-So when to say " expect 'em to drill the wells starting in September 2009 instead of handing over the money and not getting anything in return for it" you are refering to another rig, not the AA.
Spec29-In your previous post you said "Look for drilling to start in September 2009". In this post you say you were the first say Mid 2010 for the AA.
Can you please clarify.
Is IHUB working today?? No posts since yesterday.
About 3000 miles from Brazil to Sao Tome. Less than 13 days at 10 knots. If Petrobas decides to free up a rig it could be in the JDZ quickly.
Strass-You have had multiple chances to sell at .60 in the last 6 - 8 months. Why didn't you??
King-This article is over 18 months old. Nothing new between then and now.
I guess deepwater drilling can still be profitable depending on the daily rate of the rig. Also I don't think even if oil were to go to $30 it would stay there for long. When the world wide slump ends and demand comes back from China and India the price will quickly rise again.
tryoty-When Oil was $30 do you know what the daily cost of a rig was?
Does anyone know Anadarko's schedule for drilling in Block 3??
Oily- I repeat your posts of less than a month ago.

ERHC deal will be done before the two DS's get to the JDZ.
Two of Oily's post less than a month ago. Now he/she says it's going to .10 - Must want price to go down to buy more

midetieroil-If a company or investor wanted to buy into ERHC they could buy the shares on the open market, from the company, or from a large shareholder (such as SEO). If they tried to buy many millions of ERHC shares on the open market I think the share price would quickly explode (with the paltry daily volume) If they bought the shares from either the company or SEO I would think the share price would adjust to somewhere around the price they paid,
IMHO
Strass-You had several chances to sell at .60 and move on during the last six months.
execo-Completely agree. We do not need to be constantly bombarded with negitive comments from Strass. King, and Michigan Native. They rarely have anything positive to say or wothwhile to contribute.
emdyal-David Bovell made a mistake when he said AA 2H 2010. Comfirmed this with Dan Keeney.
Dan's comment: "Yeah, he made a mistake. We are expecting 2H 2009"
I e-mailed Dan Keeney to confirm that Aban Abraham is in route. Dan contacted Aban. They said that Rigzone is not accurate and that AA sail away date is December.
Rigzone says Aban Abraham on route to West Africa

walldog0-Excellent point. Also as said before if we drill and prove reserves in blocks 2,3, and 4 whatever happens in the future with blocks 5 and 6 won't matter much. We will all still be happy.
Strass- It would probably be hard to buy a large amount of shares (say 100 million) on the open market without driving the price significantly higher. Maybe they could still buy them for less this way but who knows.
TheDane-Instead of asking this question to the board why don't you ask Dan Keeney this question??
"Is the company still searching the planet for a CEO? If not, has the company ever formerly announced abandoning the Global search for a CEO"
