I seen this recent interview with Vic. Vic was criticizing other LPs who are stockpiling inventory in preparation for rec. I attached his quote below.
For me it makes senses to have inventory ready. For him it seems that it doesn't. Can someone please explain to me why having stockpiled inventory will end up being bad for the statement of financial position (The balance sheet). Is it because once the inventory is sold it turns into an expense?, and the numbers will be thrown off for that particular quarter?
Im not bashing or pumping, just trying to figure what he meant because it doesn't make sense to me. Im learning.
Appreciate any thoughts.

Has anyone with a TD account been able to get in on AusCan? Short of calling up TD, I havent had any luck.
Can you also somehow include the variable "strains avial".
Just think how good you will feel knowing you're helping our little community here.
Btw, I notice Mettrum's shop has supply now. Also, some familiar strains coming soon - e.g. Platinum Banana Kush
Im thinking the volume of "lots" going to these third-party testers is what is causing the delays regarding Croptober. I tried searching for the number of HC accredited testing labs, but couldnt find much. All the LPs have harvested. All the LPs require the testing. So delays are not a surprise.
Jebus, MT doesn't have single product for sale on their site. I knew they had no flower available, but they also don't have any oils, mmedible crap. Nothing. Even if you wanted to get a vaporizer to turn off and on while your waiting for product to come online - you'd still be $hit out of luck. They have nothing at all. I guess there just looking at the clock waiting for the vote to go through lol
I would be happy if CGC rebranded mettrum. Bed is medical. Tweed is rec. Why do we need mettrum as a separate subsidiary? For Mmibles and hemp, lmao?
Has anyone gave any thought to shorting canadian beer due to upcoming legalization? Wondering if anybody is thinking about this; if yes, what are your thoughts about timeline relative to the roll out of legalization.
There must be stats out there concerning alcohol consumption upon legalization for Colorado, wash etc.
Does GMO = Phenotyped?
Did anyone vote no?
Vic is a CPA... He would for sure know the ins and outs
Tweed only has CBD strains avail right now. I predict their will be more rumblings on social media in the near term. They really need to do something about their product "in production" page. I have been watching it for almost a year and I think it had been accurate only a handful of times. I sent an email with suggestions months ago - never heard anything back. All they need is some lacky to have the duty to link up with the master grower for updates once in awhile and update the page - too easy. Some day maybe.
I went into the "sweet buds" dispensary over the holidays in NS. What I liked was the edibles available - suckers, sodas, gummies etc. But overall, it was really sketchy feeling. Items priced high. Buddy of mine bought a variety or 1 grams samples. They could only estimate thc strength and indicated the stuff came from BC. My friend said the buds were so so. Theres potential there, but if this is the current standard then the LPS have nothing to worry about. Nothing at all.
Exactly. Im awaiting further details before coming to my own conclusions. The news release timing is extremely shady and should be elaborated upon ASAP. However, the chances of two pesticide issues from two separate LPs does make wonder. Does anyone know if MT had a MOU to supply OGI?
If additional lots have the chemicals present, hell it would be nice if it was able to be made into oil (no combustion there lol).
Just the other week you two where certain this deal was a go.
Why is CHI a separate entity?
Im curious on the delay between the vote and the announcement of results. I wish there was a poll option to see where CGC Sh's heads are at. There must be a reason why people are buying CGC and not MT
Why are you two guys so sire cgc sh's are going to vote in favor of the MT buy. It's easy to grasp the benefits for those invested in MT. I'M just not so certain about the outcome of the cgc vote.
One thing that has kept me from taking advantage of the spread between CGC and MT, is the possibility that the federal government will ease restrictions concerning production capacity for LPs. Sure this is spec, but the government does realize that the majority of LPs are experiencing product shortages satisfying current medical demands. Also, within the report, does it not mention allowing a diversity of product to de-monopolize production? Its not that fair fetched to conclude that the best way to do this is to ease current capacity restrictions within the licenses that is currently hindering all LPs? It would be better to increase current capacity for current LPs, rather then increasing license approval times for new applicants.
Would this not throw a wrench into the benefits of this deal? I am long CGC, but this point in the back of my mind has kept me for buying into MT for the risk premium.
Just throwing it out there. I could be right our to lunch. Any thoughts?
I've sent a few email with suggestions on how to improve, including social media. Didn't hear a single thing back. The company really needs a whip.
