The right thing to do is not string investors along. What makes Brilacidin different then the other companies products? we are just pre-clinical in terms of B. it is an interesting point but hard to discuss.
Let's just assume GMU is one of the rbls involved here
We have the June 5th breadcrumb (been posted numerous times over the last few months by many)
Then why are these other companies able to clearly name GMU
https://science.gmu.edu/news/chimeron-bio-and-george-mason-university-ncbid-partner-covid-19-vaccine-using-chaesartm
https://emergexvaccines.com/emergex-signs-agreement-with-george-mason-university-for-highly-pathogenic-rna-virus-studies/
What was so special about Brilacidin in the beginning, or IPIX, that we are constantly covered in a shroud of secrecy. Maybe Leo likes cloak and dagger approach, but wall street does not. He and another board member are literally next door neighbors. Is that a coincidence or just looking out for good friends? Wish he treated investors with courtesy.
I tried calling the company - no answer. no call back. emails go unanswered.
I try 1x per month to email gmu. nothing. i don't blame them cause ipix should be updating investors and not some reasearcher.... but i iwll keep sending her ipix pr's and eventually the head of gmu to see what's going on in ipix land. hate me. like me. it doesn't matter. for the peeps that got upset by my sec comment, it should not bother you if you believe in ipix unless you too have your doubts. tread lightly
i think many readers of this board agree. it's not worth the torment to come of out hiding to have people get labeled impatient or a non-Believer.
Stocks, especially penny stocks, and internet DD sleuthing go hand in hand. There is nothing wrong with that and the posters who found the new employee did a great job
i like the proactive approach of people trying to spread the word, but why isn't Leo doing this directly other than issuing PR's that need to be followed up to address open items. That in and of itself makes it hard for the proactive investors help out their investment.
This is why many feel IPIX is just riding the RBL's coattails and is coming across as a deer in headlights. yes, this is my feeling. No I am not selling because IPIX clearly set up a series of PR's suggesting that September was a month full of material updates. We shall see how next week goes. If i do sell I won't become a troll here but will contact the sec (or whomever) to look into IPIX issuing a series of covid related PR's to create liquidity with no real intention of ever pursuing a covid therapeutic and failing to disclose material updates to investors in a timely fashion. that seems to be the concern of the bears but just stated in outlandish ways on this board. Since i own shares, i am betting that IPIX does intend to pursue B for C.
The rumors of human trial start dates floating around via PM are nothing more than rumors. We saw what happened with the grant meeting back in July. A bunch of nonsense that would never be clearly addressed yet kept investors interested in holding on to see what tomorrow brings. So i hold on to see if there is any validity in the rumors, but the only thing that counts is an update from IPIX to fill in the blanks.
good find. nice to see we are on the radar. it seems a big differentiating factor of Brilacidin is that it's a synthetic making it more stable in the human body
hoping for an exciting week next week and/or at least an update referencing all points made in the Aug 24th PR.
again, i appreciate the investors on twitter trying to promote brilacidin and get some influential people aware of Brilacidin, but why isn't IPIX taking that role? Maybe there is an NDA or something similar in place, then wouldn't any exposure brought on by an investor lead to a dead end when they get IPIX on the phone or email?
I can't respond to pm's and i am usually not around on Friday happy hour to reply to PM. GLTA
Good find guys re: the new hire
I am sure this person is wondering why so many people have been clicking on their profile (not sure if linkedin checks that stat)
So what does a senior clinical trial manager do? I went to indeed (employment site) and it seems like this is the person that sources the cro and becomes the main point of contact and keeping everything organized. it's mostly positive. the only negative i would see if the timeframe getting pushed back.
Patience can pay off. I was a pinksheet shell stock player many years ago. weeks/months/years would go by without concrete updates other than a NV SOS update, transfer agent update or P&D teams creating a 1 day spike
IPIX has been going along this covid venture at a very casual pace, however accelerated things with their August PR's talking about a very exciting September. If Leo had respect for shareholders, an update as it pertains to all items is in order
1 has contact been made with fda via ctap
2 if yes, is this pre ind or ind
3 have we received a wro / written response
4 has cdmo been selected for brialcidin covid
5 has cro been finalized for brilacidin covid
6 is cdmo and/or cro pre-requisite for ind or pre-ind
7 is iv brilacidin for covid in works with completion date
8 suggestion of excess iv brilacidin for other studies
9 rbl grant update for in vivo testing
10 rbl grant update for pan corona virus therapeutic
These are all 'carrot' statements
People willing to buy or hold are the 'horse'
The right thing to do. Day of Atonement is coming up. Let's see how this unfolds.

Leo did mention on the call they should be hearing back mid-September on the RBL/IPIX grant
Lot's of potential
BM down to 936 from 943
little retail interest here other than those who already know of IPIX
It's good to be critical but no need to come down hard when someone doesn't share your opinion
IPIX makes it difficult for bulls to commit to a non-vague expression of conviction. It's the carrot dangling in front of a horse scenario to keep the faith alive.
Holidays are no excuse whether it be a federal/national holiday or religious. Going back to my comment regarding the RBL yesterday how I was hoping a big announcement was in the works between the end of August and now since IPIX never said the RBL is finished with it's in vitro testing so we can proceed, I am also perplexed why IPIX can say we are in cahoots with an RBL but can't specifically name the RBL. Can it be that if nothing happens (not my stance, but it's a possibility) then it's up to all dozen RBL's taking legal action against IPIX for making false claims? That must be an interestingly worded NDA... you can say RBL but can't specifically name our lab
I look forward to a fruitful finish to September.
in 3 months, only 15 million shares were added to the o/s
initially i was hoping with no official announcement that the RBL was done in August, maybe IPIX was working behind the scenes to hit investors with a big update. I was wrong since 1 month later IPIX issued the same language of 'rbl nearing completion'
i admire those who feel the company is doing things behind the scenes, however they are setting the bar very high. There are rumors floating around via pm which i hope are true, but if IPIX pushes back the timeline or says they have yet to meet with CTAP/FDA, it won't be good imho
Each time IPIX hired a CDMO in the past, they PR'd it (because it is a material event). No CDMO = no timeframe for Brilacidin IV for Covid = IND delays. There has been vague language as to the preparation for manufacturing B and even a hint at potential excess B based on trial projections, but i don't see how this is possible without a cdmo
I hope the others are right and I am wrong. i appreciate those on twitter trying to spread the word. this far in the game, it looks as if ipix is just leaning on the RBL and possible peer review article. Maybe this is my last minute jitters but we are approaching October at warp speed and there has been no clear path laid out to get into human trial this year other than to say we'll brilacidin will be in human trial later this year.
This paragraph contains a lot of material updates expected
Not sure if this was posted yet

it's a good point but everyone is here to make money or for entertainment and sometimes even both. 2 weeks left in september. hoping for fireworks
it was my misunderstanding. i thought the faq's on the ctap page read that ctap handles therapeutics and warp speed handles vaccines
https://www.fda.gov/drugs/coronavirus-covid-19-drugs/coronavirus-treatment-acceleration-program-ctap
The 8/24 PR alluded to CTAP
http://www.ipharminc.com/press-release/2020/8/24/covid-19-drug-candidate-brilacidin-achieves-a-selectivity-index-among-the-highest-reported-exhibiting-potent-anti-sars-cov-2-activity-at-low-concentrations-clinical-trial-forthcoming
Either way, that just means more options for IPIX at the moment
Warp speed doesn't apply to therapeutics. I was under the impression that is what CTAP is for.
the thing i am noticing in the pr's are suggestions that we all think sound nice, but in actuality the company is pursuing that avenue literally. One recent example that comes to mind is the brilacidin/remesdivir combination. many speculated it sounded nice and would give us the right exposure, but questions persisted as to whether ipix would be allowed to do such a thing and/or even execute the plan. we all now know it was a 'real' suggestion and ipix followed through. The last pr suggested larger government funded clinical trials. I am curious to see how this suggestion plays out. I personally think it means the current in vivo grant with the rbl is in the bag and just going through formalities for ipix to have the confidence to start talking about larger, government funded trials. we shall see
BM finally broke resistance at 943
been tracking since early august where we fluctuated in the 920 to 930's
it would be nice if we could put a hashtag like ST to have our posts show on both IPIX and GILD
brilacidin for covid needs to get out of the preclinical phase to be taken seriously. all the in vitro data is lovely, now let's test it in the real world. ipix gave at least 3 things in the works which need to be addressed besides the briefing package to fda
1) cdmo
2) IV B for C manufacturing time frame
3) cro
the earlier than anticipated annual report may have been to address the otcqb status in order to proceed with any number of things from fda application, grant, collaboration, etc...
IPIX alluded to having excess IV B for C for additional testing. Maybe there is a GILD/IPIX joint clinical trial in the planning phase
Big headlines with little price movement are a conundrum, or are they. At least with the annual report being filed yesterday, we can see there really haven't been that many shares issued since June 30th.
June 30th count: 328,317,492
September 10th count: 343,579,992
One timeframe missing in today's PR was the peer print being made available in September and replaced with the ambiguous statement of RBL nearing completion that we saw back on Aug 4th (it's in the PR heading)
Now that isn't the fault of IPIX because even GMU was anticipating being done with Brilacidin testing by late August.
https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2020-06/gmu-nsa060520.php
So things change. It was hinted that the RBL was curious to see the results of combining Remesdivir with Brilacidin in the July 20th PR. Seems like it made for great in vitro results, but we really need to get out of the pre-clinical data for Brilacidin. The person on twitter pretty much summed up all the great preclinical / in vitro data as saying Brilacidin is just another candidate.
We need to get into human trials. The annual report makes it seem as if IPIX knows the cost of the B human trial already, yet has not said anything as to whether they filed a Pre-IND or will jump straight into an IND. If we look at an example, look at ABIO's PR history. Pre-IND happens almost 1 month from being able to complete the IND (if all information is complete and FDA is satisfied) and then it's possibly another 30 days till trials can start.
The annual report hinted that because of the competitive field for Covid clinical trials, we can't be assured as to when our trial can/will be copmleted.
There is just so much value that could be added to this stock by bringing in a decent IR firm to handle these requests. Most of us (i assume) have been through the ringer before and know what basic questions wall street is looking for to give confidence in IPIX
ok, great headline today. wish there was a concrete timeframe given. stock gave back all it's gains which is a let down. if there is no dilution, it must be the flippers keeping the price down. The short position is really not that significant that has been posted before. imho of course.... or jmo....
IPIX still sitting on +$6 million cash with potential federal grant news on deck
We have the budget/expenses for next year around $8.2 million
CDMO = Evonik and CoreRx
small world, one of my other investments was just bought out by Nestle and their cdmo is corerx
it does not look like either were named for Brilacidin
Is running IPIX the current CEO's only job? I am just curious. I didn't find anything on google. whether or not he's currently taking a salary or deferring it, he will still be compensated at some point. i don't want to go backwards, but ipix's history is all we have other than the recent slew of B for C PR's. it's filled with small victories and no follow through. i guess he's been fishing for a partner. that seems to be what many have said is holding back ipix's valuation.
With $6 million in the bank as of June 30th, why not hire an IR person to handle any interest in the company? At least give a canned response to questions. I felt super awkward having the push the option for 'ceo' when calling IPIX to ask questions and then be brushed off the phone when the little insight the ceo had to give was said. I tried calling last week and hit the option for shareholder services but was transferred to bookkeeping.
I am in Florida. My kids private school opened 2 weeks ago for 'in person'
the classed are done in person and virtual. the classes were 50% full the last 2 weeks and another 25% jointed them today. the rest want to stay virtual. in person, they literally have removed furniture from the rooms, changed from circle tables to individual desks and put 180 degree plexi glass around the desk, put a plexi glass barricade between the teacher and students, have social distancing markers everywhere, hand washing stations, temperature checks, covid questionnaire that must be answered everyday before kids arrive at school.... and last week the ft lauderdale campus already had one class entirely quarantined because a kid slipped through the cracks who had covid.
public schools are set to open in a 1-2 weeks in my area (boca raton). the 2nd wave is coming unfortunately jmo
with the post labor day migration from the NY/NJ to Florida happens after the Jewish holidays, i would expect is when we see the next uptick imho
I don't think it's complacency. as other posters get irritated when a 'long' displays frustration, as i experienced last week, it just makes other longs keep silent with their frustration. "what good does it do to complain" is what I feel other bulls think then when they attack other longs who ask questions or show any sort of anxiety. and what i think is "what good does it do to pretend everything is ok at ipix?" 2 times now different longs told me to sell, but why would i sell when IPIX is releasing PR's suggesting that September is the month when the company filnally explodes? Now when september comes and goes, I will admit i was wrong, you were right and move on. Then I will sell and I might throw one jab at ipix on my way out the door, but that's it.
it's just how many times can a long ask the same question? I get frustrated because last month IPIX clearly was releasing PR's suggesting imminent news around the corner, and now to have the company sit back and not give a Brilacidin update by this point strengthens your argument. people can and will disagree with me, but we are all allowed to give an imho.
JMO
although i prefer IMHO
i wasn't invited apparently. hawaii is amazing. is bigkahuna leo's nickname? j/k
Thats what I am counting on based off of recent prs. Go ipix!! My pom poms are a bit dusty lol
Ok well this is me being positive. I guess I will be even more annoying if no real update happens over the next 3 weeks
Also I own enough. If ipix is legit I will be happy. And if ipix bombs out, then I will be happy that I didn't buy more
Bulls bears pigs,,,, u know how it goes
IPIX is not the only company to go through the last minute jitters before big news drops. Many of the micro cap stocks that went on to huge gains during the covid build up went through the same bs before they really started to run
Now if September comes and goes without a concrete update as it relates to Brilacidin for Covid, then I will jump on the negative nelly bandwagon.
i have to assume the briefing package contains the name of the cdmo and cro as well as the manufacturing schedule of IV B for C... you know, things that ipix stated in pr's over the last 2-3 months. c'mon ipix, just follow through
we are at the rbl's mercy as to when they submit the peer review/pre print but if ipix urgently wants to address the covid pandemic, it's up to him aggressively pursuing all avenues.
IMHO Leo can handle all this by himself. CDMO is outsourced. CRO is outsourced. Yes Leo needs to coordinate and take charge. I have to assume he is organized enough to handle this. He's part of the tribe and that's what we are good at. All our pre-clinical data was done by 3rd parties (not an in-house lab). My question too is was there a pre-ind, is our first contact in September going to be a pre-ind or will we just jump 2 feet first into an ind? since leo didn't announce the rbl was done, i am at 40/60 whether a pre-ind has been done so far. in order to proceed, we need to say to fda we have the drugs for the trial. why did leo say we expect to have more then enough IV for B to possibly take on additional covid testing? does that mean a cdmo already gave us a production schedule? if we are to start human trial this year, i would assume the hospital(s) is(are) already lined up. There are many covid pre-clinical therapeutics wanting to move to human trials and it would be mayhem if this wasn't coordinated in advance of an IND submission. Let's assume 50 new drugs come out around the same time coupled with lower hospital admissions, meaning a lower pool of patients for B. Even if as some guess B for C is a farce and Leo is just building liquidity to advance B (and K) for other indications, IPIX needs to look professional in front of the FDA. Leo can't just come across as a buffoon in our B for C efforts in front of the FDA cause that will look bad down the road for other indications. We need some professional poker players to analyze this
Thanks. Those are my immediate concerns if this is to happen this year... going for a blockbuster pr to explain it all
questions for the more seasoned IND experts
1) is drug on hand a requirement for IND?
2) would cdmo selection be necessary for drug availability?
3) does cro selection need to be made prior to ind for trial design?
4) does hospital procurement need to be ready if you are looking to expedite into human trials
There is a potential explosive PR, but what's potential if you feel it's all a scam to begin with? I agree that early September suggests the 1st third of the month (which ends this week)
i am mostly concerned with the lack of faith/belief in this company with this 'nuclear' news on deck that we still sit here at .22 and lackluster volume.
I agree with you. I am sure others here agree with your comments. The market agrees with you hence the .2 handle or else we'd be in the dollars by now
we are on the pinks (which i know that phrase upsets some, however otcqb is just a fancy way of saying reporting pinksheet which is not on a higher exchange)
Why didn't the company say the RBL in vitro clinical testing is over yet IPIX says they will be submitting briefing package to FDA shortly? Not everything is a material event. What happens if IPIX says they submit the package to the FDA? The company will be beat up because they FDA didn't give an imminent decision or approval.
This is why i suggest a twitter update be prudent in scenarios such as this so the company doesn't get picked apart for not touching on other topics which always seem to be brought to life even though the PR was on a different topic. If i felt it important enough, i would call ipix again, but what can i possibly ask that could be answered without updating all the other investors
to backtrack, i believe we need to have the drug in hand before submitting the ind, so we can use deductive reasoning if the company says they will be submitting package shortly that we have the IV for B drug... which is probably also why they mentioned we'll have a surplus of the IV for additional testing.
CTAP vs Warp Speed
Early september ends this week. Imho
When someone can spin good news into being a bad omen is quite intriguing. Many have said here leo hides bad news, so if he is talking about the other big drug now after a long hiatus, isn't that good news? Spin spin sugar
