NEWS OUT..GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets:GTEM) today confirmed the completion of production of the first set of 70 HotZone radios to be used for the expansion of its previously announced wifi broadband network in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
The Pachuca network was originally constructed in a zone within the city in September 2006 as a pilot network to prove GlobeTel's proprietary HotZone technology to its contemplated joint venture partner. After successful ongoing operation, GlobeTel's partner accepted the network and agreed to structure a joint venture to deliver the HotZone technology to multiple markets within Mexico. The impending radio shipment is earmarked for the expansion of the original Pachuca network.
"The process for consummating the joint venture is moving along at a rate with which both partners are comfortable," stated Peter Khoury, Chief Executive Officer. "We are pleased that the equipment is ready to go, in contemplation of the imminent commercialization of Pachuca."
They all follow the same pattern

I've emailed Mr. Bleckman and Mr. Huff in the past, so I assumed Mr. Khoury and Mr. Kostro emails where the same format.
This is the exact Email I sent this morning. I addressed it to Mr Kostro and Mr Khoury.
Good Morning,
Is there any chance we could get a Shareholder update today regarding the recent and future events.
Thank you.
Sincerely,

Shareholder
I was caught off guard when my Cell Phone rang two minutes later.
I emailed Mr. Kostro and Mr. Khoury this morning asking if there was a Shareholder update coming soon. My phone rang two minutes after I sent it, it was Peter Khoury. Unfortunately a lot of questions I wanted to ask came after I spoke briefly to him.
Here are a couple things I was able to talk about.
The SEC and Internal Investigation are not completed, they are working together and making "Fantastic Progress" (There is no time line giving.) Michael DeCarlo was only supposed to be with the company for 3 months, he extended his time to 6 months to help out. He is still giving support to the company.
Mr. Khoury understands the importance of being able to PR a SEC investigation being over, moving to another exchange, money involving the JV and getting the SANS2A in the Air. Considering the Past PR's. He is very cautious on the way a PR could be worded and released. He said any miscommunication and they could be "Crucified". He said there is a Strong foundation (including employees) on the area's they are focused on. And is making Globetel a "Leaner and Meaner Company"
I mentioned I appreciated his time in calling me. I also thought it would be more useful of his time to share his Passion and Vision of the success of Globetel with all the Shareholders, via a PR or a Shareholder conference call. I said without contact directly from him or Mr. Kostro current and future shareholders are left to guess and speculate as to the direction of the company. He said he appreciated my suggestions and realizes the importance with communicating directly soon with the Shareholders. I tried to get a specific time frame, he said within a couple weeks, I mentioned that the Stock price had dropped 25% within the first 30 minutes of trading (while we where talking) and suggested possibly sooner. :)
Overall he was very polite and seemed Sincere on his Passion for Globetel's Success.

Court Update.
The Oral Arguments for Motion to Dismiss this Thursday has been canceled.
Both Globetel and the Plaintiff's attorney's filed reasons why the case should be dismissed and why the case should not be dismissed. The Judge ruled Friday March 16th that there was enough information that was presented in the written documents supplied by both parties to make her Decisions. Therefore she cancelled the Oral argument for this Week. Here is a paragraph form that Order. From the Pacer Website. (My bold and underline)
"ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the Defendants’ Motion to Reschedule Hearing Date is GRANTED in part and DENIED in part. The oral argument presently scheduled for March 22, 2007 is cancelled. No other hearing date will be set,as having carefully reviewed the parties’ memoranda and the applicable law, the undersigned no longer sees a need for oral argument. DONE AND ORDERED in Chambers at Miami, Florida this 16th day of March, 2007.
I just spoke to the Alexis Shapiro. She said that it appears the Judge has made a decision. Alexis feels confident in the written argument they presented to the Judge and feels the Plaintiffs argument is Ridicules. She mentioned that it's a good sign when the Judge does not need to hear there arguments based on what was filed in the written documents. The Judges decision could be today or unfortunately in 2 months.

Prentice Hall to Use NeoMedia's qode to Link to Sales Force via Cell Phones; NeoMedia Completes $2.5 Million Funding Agreement with Cornell Capital
FORT MYERS, Fla.--(Business Wire)--NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM), announced today that its patented qode(R) technology, which links users via cell phones to the Mobile Internet, will be used by Prentice Hall, a worldwide leader in text book publishing, to help communicate with its sales force. Prentice Hall is currently introducing qode to its sales force at a national sales meeting in Phoenix.
Eric Frank, director of marketing, Business Publishing for Pearson Prentice Hall said qode will be an "integral component" of the seven-day meeting at the J.W. Marriott. Prentice Hall, he said, will use qode as an "ice-breaker" from the beginning of the meeting, and will have its sales staff enter daily contests through active personal interaction, all powered-by qode. When the national sales meeting is over, he said, the Prentice Hall sales staff will take qode with them, on their cell phones, as they work. Initially, they will use qode to receive sales tips and "talking points" on some 40 titles.
"Our team is very excited about using qode in our internal and external marketing efforts," Mr. Frank said, noting that sales staff "will also be enabled to demonstrate the interactive features of the "Marketing: Real People, Real Choices 5/e," text book.
The fifth edition of the popular marketing text, "Marketing: Real People, Real Choices 5/e" will be in distribution in January. The text, used annually by thousands of college students and hundreds of professors and instructors worldwide, includes a detailed description of NeoMedia's launch of qode, including interviews with top executives. Prentice Hall also made a video about the qode launch, which was filmed at NeoMedia's Fort Myers headquarters. Dr. Michael R. Solomon, visiting professor of Marketing, St. Joseph's University, Greg W. Marshall, professor of Marketing and Strategy in the Crummer Graduate School of Business, Rollins College, and Elnora W. Stuart, professor of Marketing and BP Egypt Oil professor of Management Studies at The American University in Cairo, wrote the fifth edition of the text. Through a special arrangement with Prentice Hall, the textbook will be made available for purchase through links on both the NeoMedia Technologies (www.neom.com) and qode (www.qode.com) Web sites.
NeoMedia said the contract with Prentice hall is revenue-generating.
NeoMedia - Cornell Capital in Funding Agreement
NeoMedia also said that on December 29, 2006, it entered into a Securities Purchase Agreement with Cornell Capital Partners, LP, selling $2,500,000 of secured convertible debentures to Cornell which can be converted into shares of NeoMedia common stock. In connection with the transaction, NeoMedia also issued 42 million warrants to Cornell with an exercise price of $0.06 per share, and repriced 210 million warrants held by Cornell to $0.04 per share. For a period of six months, NeoMedia has the right to redeem the repriced warrants on a cashless basis at a price of $0.12 per share.
Charles W. Fritz, NeoMedia's chairman and interim CEO, said that he and the company's Board "are pleased that Cornell has stepped up to help us meet current and near-term obligations. Mr. Fritz said that a significant portion of the funds is expected to be used to repay some of NeoMedia's obligations to silent partners assumed by the company in its acquisition of 12Snap AG in February 2006.

pitbull74. I found these items in Rob's Email response to you encouraging.
"I think the "K brothers" have infused an energy into this company that we needed, and the focus of this announcement is 1. on our technology and 2. the follow through on a project.
I know you mentioned to me before how you just like to rant, but we're a business that has dealt with quite a bit this past year and we're still here and actually advancing our business plan. I doubt many other companies faced with what we've had to endure would still be around, let alone working to create value."
To me it doesn't seem like his response was defensive. Especially when it comes from someone who has the following opinion of his company.
"When dealing w/ gtem, i'd rather be the volture that swoops down and picks up the scraps from the dead = best bet for all imvho -pit
NEWS OUT..NeoMedia Repositions Mobile Division for 2007
FORT MYERS, Fla.--(Business Wire)--NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM), a leader in market-driven technologies, today announced a series of strategic changes in the leadership of its NeoMedia Mobile division, including the departure of its COO, in repositioning the division for 2007.
Roger M. Pavane, NeoMedia's senior vice president of sales and marketing and a 21-year wireless industry veteran, now leads efforts for the mobile division in the Americas, and Dr. Christian Steinborn, managing director of NeoMedia's Gavitec AG - mobile digit subsidiary in Germany, leads efforts in Europe and Asia.
The reassignments were made, said Charles W. Fritz, NeoMedia's founder, chairman and interim CEO, following the departure of Martin Copus, the company's COO and head of NeoMedia Mobile, in "a decision reached mutually." Mr. Copus joined NeoMedia in April 2005, and had been commuting between his native England and the company's headquarters in Fort Myers.
Mr. Fritz said that NeoMedia is continuing to move forward with its revised strategy and business plan, including the recent divestitures of subsidiaries Mobot and Sponge and the intended sale of its micro paint business unit, while targeting all corporate resources on the continued enhancement and ongoing marketing and launch of its patented qode(R) suite of cell phone-based direct-to-mobile-web products.

Yuma Wonders Where Its Wi-Fi’s Got To
By Glenn Fleishman
The city of Yuma, Arizona, has no Wi-Fi network nor a timetable: The Yuma Sun writes about the dark underbelly of private-public partnerships. While Yuma awarded MobilePro’s NeoReach division the rights to build a network, the city doesn’t have much hands-on power over when and how its built. A newly acquired distinct division of MobilePro, Kite, is in charge of the Yuma build-out and didn’t return the reporter’s calls. A local Yuma partner that was brokered into the deal to handle network installation hasn’t heard much from Kite, either. He’s sitting with a warehouse full of gear.

When will Wi-Fi fly in Yuma?
BY JEFFREY GAUTREAUX, SUN STAFF WRITER
Dec 16, 2006, 11:14 pm
IN BRIEF:
THE ORIGINAL PLAN: Installation of a citywide wireless Internet network was expected to be in full swing by now.
THE ISSUE: City officials say the installation is in a private company's hands, leaving the city at the mercy of its schedule. "We have been pushing them and asking them and bugging them," said Greg Wilkinson, the city’s assistant information technology services director.
WHAT'S NEXT: Although there is no formal schedule, city officials say installation may begin in February or March, and installation is expected to take at least one month.
CONTINUING COVERAGE
Installation of a citywide wireless Internet network was expected to be in full swing by now, but you won't find wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) equipment in place anywhere in the city.
NeoReach, a Tempe Wi-Fi firm, was chosen by the Yuma City Council earlier this year to work with local broadband provider Beamspeed, 2481 E. Palo Verde St., to build the network to be completed by the spring. But that isn't going to happen — and when the system will be a reality is unclear.
"We have been pushing them and asking them and bugging them," said Greg Wilkinson, the city’s assistant information technology services director. "But the key is this is a private company. It's their deal, it's their money, it's their everything."
Wilkinson said there is no formal schedule, but he believes installation will begin in February or March. Installation is expected to take at least one month. MobilePro, the parent company that owns NeoReach, has purchased another subsidiary, Kite Networks, that Wilkinson said is now overseeing the Yuma project.
The private network will be available to consumers for a fee. As part of the agreement, the city pays for the electricity for the system and receives 2,000 licenses so employees can use the system for city business.
Electronic equipment owners will be able to surf the Internet as long the equipment is Wi-Fi capable, or if a device is purchased to accommodate the wireless system.
Repeated messages left with Alan Crancer, who handles media relations for Kite, were not returned. A message left with a Kite employee working locally was also not returned.
Phil Merrill, co-owner of Beamspeed, doesn't know when work might start and has had his own difficulty in contacting Kite. He said his firm has received the Wi-Fi equipment from Cisco Systems and has stored these items in its warehouse.
"We're just a repository for equipment until they tell us to install it," he said.
Four hundred to 500 access points, which are small boxes with antennas, will be installed on infrastructure, mostly light poles, across the city's most populous 25 square miles to operate the network. Some will be installed on private buildings, and Kite is negotiating those agreements.
The placement of the points is not yet fully decided. "We have a concept design, but not a real design yet," Wilkinson said.
The city wants the network in place as soon as possible because it can be used to time the city's stoplights, streamline the automated utility meter reading program and improve data delivery to computers in police and fire department vehicles. The city could also replace many of its employees' cellular phones with phones that communicate via the Internet at decreased or no cost.
Public safety communication, such as 911 calls, will not use the Wi-Fi network.
Wilkinson said the proposed costs to subscribe to the Wi-Fi network remain at $3.95 per hour, $7.95 per day, $19.95 per week or $29.95 per month.
The city will offer four areas it calls "drinking fountains," where people can use two hours of free Wi-Fi every day at the Ray Kroc Memorial Baseball Complex, Yuma Civic Center, Smucker Park, West Wetlands Park and downtown. The city’s Web site will be accessible at all times for free to anyone with a Wi-Fi-capable device.
WAZMetro is the brand name of the various municipal networks owned and operated by Kite. The yuma.wazmetro.com Web site is operational but only basic information is available.
