Last week when DVN came out with a stock offering the general group of one of the CNBC shows agreed it would lead to industry-wide offerings as money is tight and not much to go around (in other words get while the getting is good for the first to market... a flood of offerings they thought would follow). So if CHK is planning on it... but they may make another deal with Chinese as they did, what, 6 years ago for Eagleford investment? Which could be why they drilled the most early (1 mile + long laterals) while others were busy doing nothing in lower producing Eagleford. Their is an art to fracking and drilling (depth selection, angles) those for better production as I saw results few years back of CHK's production since they were the only around in upper LaSalle county but since heard better and worse but they all make pretty fair production (like 600/bbls/day back then) which surely paid off the costs way before oil started dropping because the standard lease in Texas is 3 yeears long to get a drill done so the long laterals also tied up leases so they don't have to resign (unless custom clauses....) So if they want to play some game and say they didn't payoff that Chinese investment, I doubt that was it they could have used the cash to drill more or elsewhere instead of paying it off, and they should make an offering before investment money drys up if they are rethinking it (according to CNBC, one show time don't remember which, kind of not caring much about which since I wasn't expecting to mention it).
Hard to put a meaning to it since horizontal drilling is equal to multiple rigs of the old vertical wells in overall oil production potential.
Or, in other words, they need to do more complex rig counts vertical, and horizontal drills (with one or multiple and then length of lateral drill and with that lateral length assign a rig equivalent to it based on intended frac zones)... would you say that may give an equivalent rig comparison eventhough a company like Carrizo announced last Fall they drilled a 7k+ ft horizontal complete in the Eagleford in 6 days is no different than having low depth drilling rigs in count or is it?
So is a 5% fall in short interest a sign of life?

"Sabine Oil & Gas Kicks Off Trial Over Merger
Tom Corrigan

(c) 2016 Dow Jones & Company, Inc.
Sabine Oil & Gas Corp .'s failed merger with Forest Oil Corp . took center stage Monday at a bankruptcy-court trial that is likely to determine the future direction of its chapter 11 case.
Sabine and its creditors sparred over the merger and Sabine's subsequent plan to restructure nearly $3 billion in debt, a strategy that junior creditors say is designed to shortchange them....

"Privately held, Houston-based exploration and production companySabine Oil & Gas Corp. (“Sabine”) drilled into the No. 8 spot on the Top 10 List for 2015 when it filed for chapter 11 protection on July 15, 2015, in the Southern District of New York with $2.4 billion in assets against $2.9 billion in debt. Like many of its competitors, Sabine has been hamstrung by a combination of cratering oil prices, low natural gas prices, and substantial debt. It has been negotiating with creditors since March 2015 to restructure its obligations, so far without success." http://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=b24af30c-59c6-43c6-ba1f-30b886a463fa
Buying Lucent now gives them access to all those secret technologies in Bell Labs... very interesting what will become of Nokia...
I imagine a deal with Honda and link up ASIMO with network for home maid service... ERRR I probably should say Japen's secret military building robot army in mountain (where in WWII the had advanced planes to unleash on us if we didn't nuke them... maybe like attack China with them?)

I don't know why they don't just assign like 8% working interest of all wells current and future to payoff debt (until it's paid in full) or why don't they finance it that way (no deadlines, no worry, from either side as lender keeps earning more interest like now when oil/NG are low)?
You mean because of the familiar skipped interest payment by terms as to why you think bankruptcy or something else?
I don't think anyone cares what's posted here for now as the controllers are still doing nothing for us and the last poster before you posted a chart for PGEI (not PGIE)... Just say why couldn't Gandy get Hillary to approve the deal... or only if the SEC would let us trade maybe they'd start the leased trucking company... but perhaps we start trading maybe PGIE could merge with SDOC (or whatever your good picks are) ... lol
But its such a pretty web-page (colors) http://www.ndrenergy.com/

(at least with java turned off - I guess it could be more than a logo for others than myself)
Have they ever since restarting payments paid any arrears due?
"Gulf Keystone (LON:GKP) and Genel Energy (LON:GENL) may soon start to get repaid hundreds of millions of dollars owed for oil produced in the Kurdish region of Iraq.
New payment terms announced by Kurdish Regional Government included an element for paying off some of the arrears that have been built."
So Wednesday they finally decided to make it (cap oil roduction) more thinking about it according to CNBC... Been feeling its like Enron controlling NG but somehow can't decide if it was just the opening of the new pipeline last Summer from Midland to Houston along with Eagleford to Corpus Christi and Houston about the same time that just flooded the refineries with oil as the only problem to pricing as for year and a half Cramer (Mad Money - CNBC) kept saying oil would drop with over supply but it stayed above 100/bbl then he finally gave up and started saying okay to oil stocks (lasted a few months then oil started crashing - but only seemed to be tied to UK and NATO trying to control/punish Russia for Ukraine then the pipelines hit and it was the end of that). Enron controlled NG hmmm not okay for corporation but for governments UK et al oh, then its okay for oil because they deny West ... Really looks more like they do what they want... Then it looked as if they cried calf-rope and wanted higher prices then Saudi started acting like Bin Laden and savored the thought of destroying the economy of the US like in 73 embargo but this time with price crash to "maintain market share" what nonsense. Is an Enron deal from governments... so I claim it appears (negative price).
Peak oil was hit years ago from vertical drilling... Now its opened up like its endless... ERRR Nope! we'll soon wish we had controlled production of horizontal wells as then peak is more than real (there is not going to be refilling of vertical cavities so easily since horizontals taps into one direction of nearby zones that would have kept providing slowly to the vert.) I think we'll soon be way short of oil as horizontals start declining in Saudi (OPEC) zones... So will Saudi invade Iraq to keep their oil market share? lol
So do you think they'll report a profit this quarter?
What college did the new CPA go to? "Mr. McHugh, age 39, joined Glori Energy in 2012 as Assistant Controller. What happened with the earthquake suits are they still looming or should I average down... been holding through the Winter... decided to try the billionaires approach and buy the choice and not worry about it... lol until I saw I lost 90% paper value... lol now its up to a nickel... wow what a deal (maybe) ... been wondering if they were fibbing back in the Fall about being sound like were at low 30's then up to like .43 then it just went back to low 30's on earthquake news... Zzzz
yeah watching a stock daily can get taxing especially this sector this Winter... Up big today... can that hold or better...
I did a copy and paste of web site and http://prntscr.com/9a9z8a is that site hacked or that site sensing my computer's been hacked? Okay so its in Google history
Great news, thank you for the update.
They (the homeowners) will never win. A good lawyer can show that its cyclical (earthquakes).
North of Amarillo, had lots of earthquakes late 90's early 2000's and their is even more drilling activity now along the Canadian River deep for a couple or more years and earthquakes stopped).
Same way with Synder, Tx but their was drilling deep not too far off but not on top of the area drilled/fraced) and now its quite too. Off and on fault by Saint Luis MO ... its purely jumping to conclusions.... lol nice eagle.... the other side of the coin is a wig on GW and its only for looks, they were drilling for years before earthquakes... same with Dallas... if they try to claim chemicals in fracs (them chemical company liability if at all) ...
We have a fault on one of our tracks and two NG lines... one medium OLMOS other deep Eagleford and not one quake on our fault.
Just what is the exact number of quakes exactly on the exact point of drill or frac (depth wise too)?
Judge did wrong, he should have allowed homeowners to sue if lawyer took on a fee if they win baisis only ... those scum will till them blah blah and waste the rest of their money.... I guess the mortgage company would've taken it anyway... sounds like a lose lose situation.
Also, how is housing development not to blame by displacing weight uneven to natural formations? San Fran, LA.. St. Louis... what was that one in Virginia or NC that was felt in NY City recently? Who's to blame? Homeowners dogs pissing on park bench?
Let's say a oil producer like T. Boone thinks $80/barrel next December is reasonable but makes a perceived $50/bbl hedge contract, what could they be up to?
We all know they've been storing waiting for oil prices to go back up... why wouldn't they trade the $50/bbl contract on the short term for a profit by a joint effort of buying the so thought hedge but intended to bring the oil to market instead of keeping it in storage? Pocket the trade profit (at the same time help paying for the stored oil that needed a higher price)?
Am I making sense?

I recently saw an analyst/speculator say that the industry is expecting most to run out of hedges in March causing lots of bankruptcy's... good to know they are covered longer... thanks.
I don't know why many aren't owning this right now. It should provide lots of tax shelter for this year. I guess... as I've never owned a partnership that had a net loss during the period owned. I'm expecting some nice 'book' losses or wash if oil jumps up with a month to go.... One last year had 3 gains, one null and one month at a loss (net gain book gain for me - the ole pay their taxes at my tax rate with my money... but this time I should benefit?).
Three insiders bought 501k shares for $552k Nov. 9 Barrons.... oh and by-the-way (BTW) Sarepta is SRPT not our symbol that them 'fools' wrote article with wrong symbol... (Motley Fool)
So then SandRidge could merge with Chesapeake at a 1 for 1 stock ratio?
Their (CHK) CAPEX budget seems to say that they like Niobrara like SD, (funny)... http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/11/17/making-sense-of-sandridge-energy-incs-most-recent.aspx
But, it also shows that Utica needs lease renewals or expansion plans (less rigs, doubled budget)...
Yawner.... Why did so many oil men own this at 20+... are they out to destroy CHK by running the price down? Why does everyone think oil and NG going way up next year? They're all drilling more NG wells for it, so it'll probably stay down... I can't find where a company hasn't tried hedging down oil market with more NG wells... its like they all met at the same conference and decided to do they same thing... so maybe they're all in trouble except those still making money...
I thought it was only this high because of a 3.90+/share buyout offer... What's going to drive further rise in price?
Isn't that supposed to mean they're short on shares and the Market Makers move the price down trying to scare people into selling?
This last week CNBC reported new NYSE rules of no stop losses. So the only way to have stop losses now on NYSE is via a feature of your brokerage firm not NYSE.
On the big drop day, someone posted here about possible delisting early next year (so maybe it was that, and a fund or two had to sell out as per their investment guidance)?
It should help... but its been hard to tell as there was heavy buying a few weeks ago and mor4... so it was speculated that someone was taking a big position in it, but a big dump yesterday was for unknown reasons (except I did hear misc. oil headlines Wed. but wasn't paying attention)... but Motley Fools article yesterday may've scared some on their acquisition...
I guess that went away yesterday with the big selloff? No more Exxon interest?
Who gets the oil and sells it and is supposed to pay Gulf Keystone? Turkey and PKK don't get along. PKK and ISIL did. ISIL and 'Kurds' don't? Says who? Why has their been no attacks on area's oil assets, shipments and no (or half) payments of oil marketed through Turkey?
Isn't it safe to correctly assume they payoff ISIL?
The Russian/USA/France coalition needs to make sure Kurds pay suppliers (and not the obvious PKK/ISIL for safe passage of oil for their own use - who pays the producer full price (no funding terrorist)?).
http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/7/25/turkey-targets-pkk-and-isil.html
I've always wondered if the lack of payments was because of some hijack or black market selling (theft basically) and not the nonsense low price/budget junk....
What are you writing about? There is no news from them in months. How can they dupe someone without communicating anything? Face it, something is up, someone bought in for reasons unknown.
Are you saying, "Wait! I haven't bought in yet! You can't buy in without news?'? lol You're funny, on your ALERT... unless you'd like to explain it with links to communications from them or SEC (recent)....
Trading halted at request of company for news...
Without the filings we have no idea as to whether Chris T. from his Alberta connection got Treaty into any of those Canadian things sort of other than the investment to create a cash flow to cover expenses.
So its possible they bought into Alberta stuff somehow. Right?
Then if so, they may have just received a small payment for their part as
2.84 million shares traded in London down to .39 there (25.5 pence) I guess USA market has dragged it down last two days in London... Don't know what to make of it... wow, so right before the close they up it here .42... perhaps someone figure out how to flip it and control the price... lol
Theft ring going on...
I wonder if they'll try to merge again with another Gulf of Mexico driller? These prices seem cheap... How long can a Bermuda company survive with book cooking versus a states company?
