Looks like a fund bought 6,666,667 shares and is now a voting member at 9.5% ownership of MNMD.
I believe this is a very positive signal.

I’d just like to say that you are missing the reason. Somebody has the knowledge that these developments could be worth billions, they want a sizable chunk of shares.. open market would be extremely expensive to get a large chunk without notice. Private placement is the only way.

but I read the whole filing, it clearly states that they owe all of the 5 million to Khode still.

There is some notes in the filing to the effect of they owe a ton to Khode. Like almost all of the 5 million they got screwed by DJ Kaled for.
So maybe this raise is to cover that problem.
