There is NO mention from BYRN of a reverse stock split anywhere. Not in press releases, SEC filings or the CEO's presentation. All of which can be found here:
https://ir.byrna.com/
https://ir.byrna.com/sec-filings/all-sec-filings
What you are hearing from KngmAz is pure speculation (for whatever reason) unless he/she can specifically point to anything official from BYRN that supports his/her claim.
FWIW...I live a couple of miles away from BYRN in Andover, MA. and drive by them every day. I can tell you that they are busier than ants. Lots of cars in the lot, lots of truck activity every day. Having been in manufacturing myself for a number of years, I can tell you that a company doing poorly shows a decline in similar activity, not an increase. Granted, I haven't been inside their facility, and I'm not talking about their financials, but it seems evident that this company is madly busy because of increasing product demand. In my mind, the key is properly managing their growth so that they can keep pace with expanding business demand without overreaching to the point where they can't keep up. Everything I see with my own eyes tells me they are on top of it from a production standpoint, and research tells me that they are on top of it from a growth financing standpoint. There is no question that their products are top notch, but as with their competitor's products in the non-lethal marketplace, a LOT will depend on what the Biden admin does regarding new gun laws. My thinking is that more stringent and restrictive laws (or even the intent to pass those laws) on the firearms industry (which the Biden admin wants to do) will mean more positive demand for non-lethal, non-regulated solutions like Byrn's. Just sayin'. Full disclosure, I own 10k shares bought at avg. $1.45/sh. and have a target price of $10/sh. by the end of 2024 which I think is very doable provided they don't get out over their skis. Purely my opinion and my speculation. As always, Caveat Emptor!
Was trading halted yesterday?
Good advice Cash!
Don't know how to start a class action lawsuit but I'm in if someone else does!
Great posts Cash, your insight & sleuthing is much appreciated!
Could be but if all you wanted to do is milk the company for money, wouldn't it make more sense to grow the company as big as you could as quickly as you could to maximize your efforts? There must be something else at play here. I'm starting to think they have gone silent because they are pumping everything into the crypto mining effort because the crypto market is down and they are trying to cover their loses while hoping for a crypto rebound...and they don't want any close scrutiny.
I
The silence is maddening. I have several of their products and they are very good. I can't help but think they are generating significant revenues so you'd think they would want to trumpet results to generate positive buzz and further growth, yet nothing but crickets...I've been in business all my life and it defies understanding. What we need is some "eyes on" reports from people that can visit their HQ and retail stores if they even still exist to see what's what.
Does anyone know if they still have the retail vape outlets in Florida?
I have written multiple times to VPOR asking them to provide updates on ANY aspect of their operations and have never received a response . Has anyone got any accurate info about sales results, revs., etc?
Awesome addition to VPOR's product line! keep posting this link because I don't think many are aware of this yet.
Merry Christmas WALLnut and everyone else too! All things come to those who wait...
Ask yourself this....if you were an officer in a publicly traded company and you held a significant amount of shares of a low pps stock... would you rather be content with periodically paying yourself a (relatively speaking) small amount of money out of the proceeds from those low pps stock sales...or would you work hard to make your company successful so the pps would rise and your significant amount of shares would be 10x, 100x. 100x more valuable instead?
If you believe Yaniv is content with the former premise, then you must also believe that VPOR has no viable products, strategy or hope of success and Yaniv sees VPOR as just a teat to draw a salary from.
But, if you believe Yaniv is NOT content with the former premise and that he really wants his significant amount of shares to be worth a fortune at some point, then you have to believe that he and the company have viable products, strategy and hope of success, and are working hard to make the company succeed so the pps will rise accordingly.
Which view you believe to be true should determine whether you do, or do not own shares in this company.
Tell us your company and what products you have for sale at Walmart then. Give us links to them.
Obviously you didn't see news stories earlier this year on ALL of the TV & Cable channels that showed Walmart's selection process and interviewed various applicants. Gosh, even the interviews with the Walmart people on the interview/product selection committee must have been wrong then.
Walmart is Yaniv's surprise...and a great one because it's incredibly hard to get your product into Walmart! They had > 5000 apply for product inclusion earlier this year and <50 new products/companies were CHOSEN by them. This is an indicator everyone should pay attention to.
JSEE..I can't reply privately to your message but here you go...
True, VPOR does not sell Cannabis specific products that would be restricted by Schedule I classification or Federal Law restrictions , but simply because they sell products that are ancillary to the cannabis market, like CBD & vape products (which are also used for cannabis) and the EG, they are viewed as being in, or on the fringe of the MJ sector by many traditional funding sources and as such, very risky to do business with. I know that because I do business with a great many of those traditional sources and they wrestle with this topic every day.
Although some traditional sources of funding are legally available to VPOR, these same lending sources choose who to do business with, and so far they choose not to do business with a company like VPOR. That is why I said that VPOR is subject to the same financial burdens and obstacles now that companies in the MJ sector are.
On a positive front, because they are on the fringe... as political, public and investment sentiment changes to reflect the growing MJ sector and opportunities therein, VPOR could well be one of those companies that traditional investors turn to first.
Cash..."I put myself out there because I believed their string-me-along sing-along, and they dropped the ball in every sense of the word!"
VPOR didn't string you along, you did that to yourself. You and others took any bit of info from Yaniv or Dror or others and interpreted it to mean whatever YOU wanted it to mean. As I said before, you and others view this sector and the companies in it the same way, and with the same tools that you would view Apple, MSFT, IBM, Amazon, etc. and you JUST CAN'T DO THAT! Pennies are so different in all respects that you do yourself a great disservice to even try to use the same investing strategies as you would with the big boys....and pennies in the MJ sector are even more different than every other penny sector.
Before anybody should ever consider investing in the MJ sector, you HAVE to understand that due to schedule I classification and Federal Law restrictions on cannabis, the entire way a company handles its' business has to be very creatively different financially because they have little to no access to the traditional funding sources that every other company in every other sector has. Since funding from banks, hedge funds, retirement or pension funds, etc. is relatively out-of-the-question, MJ sector companies have no choice but to raise capital to fund operations in any other way possible. This means through sale of stocks, both preferred and general, convertible debt, bartering goods or services, whatever it takes to keep the business running and hopefully growing. EGads man, when you are hamstrung out of the gate like that, just being in business for multiple years is an achievement, much less actually having multiple REAL products out in distribution and retail! So VPOR used revenues to pay it's officers and employees instead of putting it all to offset other expenses or pass it down to investors. Should they work for free? Would you?
You guys all get your panties in a bunch because the financials didn't meet YOUR expectations, or the company didn't do what YOU wanted them to do, but that's just extremely naive because your expectations are completely unrealistic!
Look CASH...I respect your past passion for this company and efforts on this board but if you expected something else, then it's all on you. If you had carefully followed this company since the SPLI days and saw what they did, how they did and have done things and recognized what they have (or have not) accomplished to date, then you might have other expectations. For example, given the obstacles in this MJ sector, IMO I fully expect that 95% of all companies are either scams or will fail. Out of the remaining 5% left, I expect that 3 of those 5% will never generate any significant revenues from actual/real product sales and 1 of those 5% will have viable products but will still fail for one reason or another. That leaves MAYBE just 1% of all companies in the MJ PENNY sector as companies that might just succeed despite all of the obstacles and handicaps they are burdened with.
IMO, VPOR is one of those companies in the remaining 2% and might, just might, be one of the 1% that make it because they HAVE good, viable products, good retail and distribution channels, good contacts with other players and most of all...growing sales! Are those sales reflected on these financials? NO, but the expenses are. Did I expect them to be? Expenses YES/Sales NO...Did I expect them to be very creative in how they used their resources? YES...did I expect their bottom line to show a company struggling to keep funding operations? YES...did I expect them to pay their officers, YES...did I expect them to pass revenues down to stockholders, NO...Do I expect them to tell the world everything they are doing or have done in PRs, Tweets, Instagrams or Facebook posts? NO (in fact it would greatly disappoint me if they did) Does VPOR owe me anything (this is for you too Engines)? YES, but ONLY the possibility that I will get a reasonable return on my investment at some point.
You know what my expectations are with VPOR? That every year they will do better and be more successful than they were the year or quarter before. That they will be doing whatever it takes to be in that last 1%...and I think they are trying hard to do just that. When I invested in this company, I used money that I could afford to lose in full if it was to be. Unlike my investments in those other companies I mentioned above...I treat this just like a lottery ticket. If I lose...oh well....If I win, it will be like hitting the Powerball.
As Ben Franklin once said, "it's far better to be pleasantly surprised that bitterly disappointed" so if you can follow that advice, you might not be so disappointed right now in VPOR. They are right where I thought they would be and headed in the right direction. Mark my words, Christmas WILL come early this year!
Many of you have spent these past months wildly speculating about VPOR without any real knowledge of reality, and then when YOUR speculations are off the mark, you start with YOUR "sky is falling" diatribe. Put your big boy pants on and stop whining!
Any expectations that have not been met are not the company's fault, they are YOURS because they are YOUR expectations.
Some of you think you can analyze a penny stock company, especially one in the MJ sector, like you would a NASDAQ/NYSE/AMEX company but you can't! NOTHING is the same and none of the analytical tools you might normally use will work because this industry has almost no quality historical data to draw on, pennies like VPOR are non-reporting and subject to very different requirements, and all aspects of the sector are tremendously hindered by Federal laws.
Unlike MOST other penny stocks, VPOR has growing product sales across multiple REAL product lines: CBD, vapes, hover boards, advertising/mktg, grinders, simple corks. So Q2 didn't meet YOUR expectations...so Yaniv hasn't communicated what YOU want to hear...either lower your expectations or grow a pair and ride the tiger!
If you don't believe in what the company's doing, invest somewhere else!
re: "Price is too high"...I have a rose grinder and, it is extremely well made, works flawlessly, looks beautiful and reeks of quality/class so to me, it is worth every penny I paid for it ($79 using July 4th.20% discount w/free shipping) Would I have liked a lower price? Sure, who wouldn't. Would I have paid a higher price for it? Based on reviews prior to purchase, maybe...based on my experience since, probably, but then I'm a frugal N.E. Yankee so I never pay full price for anything if I can help it!
The point being, the quality, capability and desirability of a product or service determines its' market price point, along with its' COG point and market demand. The EG is unique in that it is a niche product in a "legally challenged" market, marketed to a specific social/economic demographic who will pay whatever they think the EG is worth. I did and so have/will many others.
As Bill Belichick is fond of saying, "is what it is"!
Oh, and for those obsessing about slits/spin offs, PPS movement, PRs, etc....don't. Enjoy your summer doing other things. Rememer the old adage, "A watched pot never boils"
ERBB greatly reminds me of FITX so watch your six
7/27 VPOR now offering limited time bundle special to dealers...receive 8 assorted grinders, acrylic counter top display case, promo flyers and branded hats for $420 (value $850).
IMO, raising the price to $120 on their website (I think bad idea) and running this promo means they are pushing for dist & dealers to lead the way.
Any sales are good sales so long as VPOR makes a net profit on them, and market penetration & awareness expands. Keep in mind that VPOR wholesales them for appx.$50 so they are generating that revenus plus what they sell themselves at $99. IMO, what they sell directly from their website is gravy compared to what they will sell to wholesalers reselling to an ever-increasing retail market. What would you rather do...sell 100 units at $99 or 1000 units at $50? The latter of course because even though you'll realize a higher margin % at $99, VPOR will generate more revenue AND more net margin dollars by expanding their wholesale sales and overall customer base.
Keep in mind also, that Amazon & EBay both charge appx. 10-15% of sales in overall seller's fees so a wholeseller or retailer has to eat that extra cost and might not be so quick to sell there. Based on my own MFG & sales experience, I'd guestimate that VPOR's COG is around $20-25/unit so their GM to wholesalers is 50% or so which is a fair margin for them to start with.
In essence, the more outlets VPOR have, the better...it's all about volume sales and market penetration.
sorry...con't...make the hand grinder section a little longer so the hand grinder, with the spare blades already installed, will fit. That way, you don't need the screwdriver at all and the hand grinder is always ready to go. Not a big deal but it would make the EG even better.
My EG review: I received my Rose EG today and couldn't be happier! The product shipped very quickly, packaging is very professional, instructions are clear and the product works exactly as advertised. EVERYTHING about the Easy Grinder screams quality. It is very finally made with excellent fit and function, yet very sturdy and built to last a long time. This is a finely engineered, high quality product that is worth every penny I paid for it and will sell itself.
In fact, I went to a cookout today and demo'd it to 10 of my friends. EVERYONE "oooh'd and aaah'd over it and, I kid you not, FIVE of them immediately went online to easygrinder.com and bought their own units. Not one person hesitated about the price! That's a 50% close rate from just showing it!
I'm not one for hyperbole, but VPOR has a clear winner here, and I have absolutely no doubt that the Easy Grinder is going to be huge.
One side note...to use the hand grinder component, you currently have to attach (via small screw) the spare blade set to the hand grinder with a very small eyeglasses-type screwdriver (not included). The only suggestion I would make to VPOR is either include a small screwdriver with the product or, they should consider making the very top section (where the hand grinder is) longer so the hand grinder pre-attach the spare blades to the hand
I very rarely comment here and probably won't much more, but for what it's worth...
1. Although cannabis is medicinally & recreationally legal in many states now, it is still on Schedule ! and Federally illegal so until that changes, mainstream national advertising is not really viable, however regional marketing makes more sense in those markets where it is legal. Additionally, the underground market still dwarfs the legal market so VPOR should seek out and promote it's products in those vehicles common to those markets, and in those ways that gain the most exposure for the least cost. In other words, traditional marketing combined with guerilla marketing. In this way, they can grow their base market in time with national/international market growth. Given these conditions, social media and word-of-mouth testimonials are an incredibly cheap and effective way to promote the products and grow the base, so we need to keep spreading the word, and VPOR needs to keep doing what they are doing. The right celebrity endorsements would be key also...say Willie Nelson, Tommy Chong and Snoop Dog perhaps!
2. IMO, it's highly unlikely and would be a gross mistake if VPOR bought a manufacturing facility in China simply because, from a business (finance and accounting) perspective, it would make absolutely no sense from a cost/risk perspective. For one, it would burden the company with an untenable asset in a country where they had no true control or protections. Economics aside, that is the one reason I would never BUY a facility in China. It is far more likely and makes much sounder economic sense for VPOR to sub-contract out to an existing state-of-the-art manufacturing facility (anywhere, not just in China) experienced in these types of arrangements, to make VPOR's products for them. Consider, VPOR's financials are not burdened by the costs, risks and hassles associated with owning a facility and employing a foreign workforce, yet they benefit from all of the advantages that facility and workforce can provide them. So, IMO, VPOR is manufacturing these in China under long term sub-contracting agreement...at least I sincerely hope so for all shareholder's sakes.
As long as VPOR can steadily grow the market and keep up with demand without over-extending themselves...it'll be cool runnings mate! If you have a product like the Easy Grinder that is so good it sells itself, the worst thing you can do from a business perspective is over-complicate matters.
I can't wait for my lovely Rose EG to get here!
NO NO NO to Shark Tank, QVC, etc.! Go read the fine print in their participation contracts and you'll see that they take a huge cut of your profits and impose incredibly onerous restrictions on what you can or can't do with your own company and ANY products you control. VPOR should continue to sell/market just the way they are doing now!
For example, the following is from Shark Tank's application to be on their show. See: cdn.media.abc.go.com/m/pdf/shows/shark-tank/ST_Initial_Application_Packet.pdf

I agree it's not VPOR, and I wouldn't be so quick to buy from him, but at least we have some eBay visibility to help get the word out
After reviewing that eBay seller's feedback profile, I don't think it is VPOR but rather someone nearby (wholesaler most likely) that bought Easy Grinder from VPOR and is re-selling them on eBay.
BTW, send eBay seller "ezsell456" a message thru eBay and get 10% off
Is this Yaniv's surprise?
Easy Grinder is now for sale on eBay, seller doesn't say VPOR but must be!

I hope they sell the Cork business to someone else a.s.a.p. IMO,it's a cool idea but no winery or bottler is ever going to use them in any significant volume. Consider that a normal cork cost them appx. $0.02 and compare that to the much higher cost to them for this cork. The vast bulk of wine sold is less than $20/bottle with very tight margins. Does anyone really think anyone is going to further jeopardize those meager margins by using a much more expensive cork? I doubt it very much. Plus, figure in the huge cost to change production lines to accommodate this new cork and you can see why it's highly unlikely that this product, while pretty innovative and cool, will ever be successful. I say get rid of it before it becomes a drag on the company and put those allocated marketing & sales funds into the effort to expand EasyGrinder into the very 420 friendly European market!
My point is the same....anyone can pay $$$ to promote a company for whatever reason. It doesn't mean the company paid for the promotion.
Wait a minute, PennyStomper posted the list of supposed stock promotions (From the link you provided in the post I responded to) and it sure doesn't add up to $2.6M (thousands at most) so where are you getting your number from? and how can you accurately or fairly critique any of these "promotions" if you don't know who actually paid for them or even where/what they were?
Heck, ANYONE could have paid one of these "promoters" $500,$1000,$2000 etc. to promote ERBB or any other stock in their piddling publications hoping to get a quick PPS move that they could capitalize on and double/triple/quadruple their promotional investment back through quick gains. It happens ALL of the time. Day Traders, indiviual investors, companies...even those same "promoters" do it daily for their own gain..so are you not aware that's going on daily? Keep this in mind also, when a company puts out a PR, they are getting publicity for FREE so do you really believe they would keep shilling out $$$ to piddling stock promotion sites with minimal exposure and impact when they can get publicity for free?
To cite a parallel example think of politics and look at how independent PAC groups try to manipulate public opinion through PR efforts. Many of them have nothing to do with the candidate they are promoting yet they still do it because they stand to gain from their efforts somehow/someway...and the candidate gets blamed unfairly for something they didn't even do. Don't be naive to think the same thing isn't going on with penny stocks because it most definitely is!
I encourage you to critique ERBB (or any company for that matter) all you want in the name of Due Diligence but at LEAST do it fairly and accurately, otherwise someone might think you are one of the people trying to manipulate ERBB's public image or reputation for your own gain...n'est pas?
It should also be mentioned that the person or entity that paid for those promotions are designated as "unknown" and the specifics of the promotions themselves are not specified so are these "promotions" even real? I follow this stock closely and have never seen them so where exactly were these promotions visible?
Name one and back it up with data
Az...So you say, now back up your statement and show us five companies on the MJ Index that have posted "big profits" and back it up with the numbers....not revs, though even those are hard to come by...but those "big profits" you claim...
This ought to be quite a trick
That "BudTender" PR is just a re-post of the original 4/29/15 PR.
