I've seen the 2015 date on the warrants as the expiration date as well. If you type the symbol in marketwach it shows 2015 at the end of it as the expiration. I just didn't know it was July 21, 2015
It would be nice to see the difference in pricing on the warrants between the Series A and Series B offerings. Good news is they get the cash directly on the warrants from investors and if they are having trouble with financing SSE Smart Wind Ranch this would surely be a good alternative.
Friends of Africa had annual conference this weekend. Anyone hear anything about what Shweta had to say about developments of wind energy in Africa?
Not sure if this was covered but I'm thinking the biomass plant in Lincoln County in Nevada was built after all in the two proposed locations--Pony Springs Substation and Prince Substation

Satellite image today--Pony Springs substation looks pretty good in size in comparison to other biomass plants in the area. Prince Substation not as large but there's also another plant down the road and who's to know if that's ours or not

Trading on grey market under APWXF. Can't find anything on the price. I wonder if you can call your broker to get a price on it?
"An unofficial market where securities are traded. Gray (or “grey”) market trading generally occurs when a stock that has been suspended trades off-market, or when new securities are bought and sold before official trading begins. The gray market enables the issuer and underwriters to gauge demand for a new offering because it is a “when issued” market, i.e. it trades securities that will be offered in the very near future."
Possibly clearing the way to that return to the NASDAQ... Maybe why the shorts have been so quiet

The stock symbol has also changed. The previous symbol APWR.pk is invalid and has been replaced by APWR. I remember when APWR was invalid and was replaced by APWR.pk. I thought it was supposed to go the other way. Like from APWR.pk to diddly? Seems to be a bit of a reversal. Maybe clearing the way for a return to the Nasdaq?
This would piggy back the lady in the links in the post below trying to say APWR is trading again. Perhaps already been cleared to trade in the Asian markets?
Everything makes sense except for the mention of APWR. Until recently no mentions since 2010

When does this stock trade again? Before or after 2016?
The decision suspension vs. revocation should be irrelevant if they actually come through with posting 2010 financials. If they post financials on Nov 2 that would help investor confidence. That being said, I don't see it happening. Still long and still a believer just not a believer in any deadline they set
I tend to agree this is a 500M company and that would be great news as it should easily be $5/share like mentioned earlier. I was just talking about damage control if they were financially strapped (for a reverse split or reverse-then forward split) to reduce shareholders, but looking at this it seems they aren't necessarily in trouble, and it is just a matter of accounting like mentioned a million times and how they are recognizing revenues. As long as they have positive retained earnings it shows that they are still profitable. I can't imagine they fell off the face of the Earth going from Sept '10 to being frozen in June 2011. I believe in this baby and I look forward to having a bash with my fellow longs

that's what I meant.
You would consider doing a move to cash out some shareholders with few shares, while making the stock more attractive to new shareholders as it is no longer trading at $.06. You could even go to the extreme and have 10 shares for one and follow that up with trading five shares for one. The reason is bc I believe this is a company in financial danger, so that greatly helps them as old shareholders like us take the hit. I understand your position to be against the move.
Looking at $ZSL it did a very similar move.
"As an example of how short splits work, ProShares Ultrashort Silver (ZSL) underwent a 1-10 reverse split on April 15, 2010, which grouped every 10 shares into one share; accordingly, this multiplied the close price by 10, so the stock finished at $36.45 instead of $3.645. On February 25, 2011, ZSL had a 1-4 reverse split (every 4 shares became one share, which multiplied the close price by 4, to $31.83). Because of these two actions, one share of ZSL as of February 26, 2011 represents 40 shares of ZSL before April 15, 2010. These splits were necessary to maintain the price of the fund, whose value fell 90.2% from April 15, 2010 to April 21, 2011, and over 98% since December 3, 2008. Had the reverse splits not taken place, ZSL's closing price on April 21, 2011 would have been $0.3685, rather than $14.74, or .3685*40"
We basically did the same thing in an epic fall. The stock $ZSL is currently trading at $66.38
via wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_stock_split
They could even do a reverse/forward stock split and go 1-10 to cash out shareholders with few shares and then do a forward split to give the loyal shareholders shares back after the reverse split. Just throwing out ideas.
They need fewer shareholders as companies similar to $APWR only have 3-5M shareholders. That's not a reason to cut shareholders, but having little financial success is very much a reason to do such a move.
If they don't do something this stock won't ever sniff the dollar mark as I've seen many charts like this and they never recover. They can't possibly recover as it would be the greatest comeback of all time. I have 70,000 shares so such moves (in essence, a 1-50 split) would take me down to 1,400 at $3 a share. I didn't buy anywhere near $20 (1.75 and all the way down) but that would provide hope in returning to a price appealing to shareholders. If they say, who they say they are
Still pulling for a reverse stock split (1:10) when, not if, the stock finds it way back on the trading floor
What were the results of the GE hearing? And what are the important dates moving forward?
Not happening. (Investor since Jan '12 [bought and sold a few times], watching since April '11)
For so long and I agree this stock has been a dog with fleas so the ole' sell to avoid getting caught in the tidal wave of panic that causes the stock to drop 15% in a few hours is a thing of the past. (Treating it like any other penny stock, a pure gamble). I've seen it happen a few times and each time I was like I don't like this price point for a sell but this is about to plummet, which caused me to hang onto the stock longer than I wanted but created buying opportunities as well.
We know about the improved numbers this past quarter and the last road block was this re-financing. I believe i read April 3rd to take effect. The importance of that is putting back to back good quarters together and getting those absurd debt deals off the table. I can't stress the importance of good back to back quarters enough. You fought hard to get there and you show you are back and then prove you are back with another strong quarter. If you don't do that, then you slip right back to $1.25-1.50 and you are essentially back where you started. We've been getting killed by the high interest and that has been detrimental to our FCF (free cash flow). We can't invest bc we haven't had the resources to bc we've been paying this damn debt and high interest. Which when you look at any debt deal you are paying almost entirely interest and very little principal comes off the table.
There is no more pullback. There is no getting this baby at $.75, $1.50, or even $2 now. That's a company that's on the verge of bankruptcy. Your last pullback was the last two days bc I expect this stock to be up a conservative estimate of 5% on Monday with me leaning more towards 10% now that the debt restructure has been finalized, not just rumored. It takes effect April 3rd so this next earnings should be even better than the last as we've gotten a more reasonable interest on debt.
Now when the company turns a profit for the quarter they can turn around and buy inventory (Cotton has been pretty cheap) or put the money somewhere else to earn a return. For quite a while they've been fighting to keep their head above water and have sold just enough to do so and that money has been going to paying down debt so there's been little chance to improve profitability. But when you are doing that you can't improve as you are just staying alive. That's why this stock has looked bleak in the eyes of the market the past few years.
I'm here to tell you American Apparel is back. I would say people are starting to buy their clothes again as it seems to have gone back in fashion. The debt situation has been resolved. I would like to see them replace old inventory with new but I've seen sales and such so it seems like they are determined to do such a move. It is really like the perfect storm as everything is starting to come together.
Started at $.75 in January '12, sold some Sept '12, bought some more after the plummet, sold some March '13. Sitting at 10,000 shares and don't expect to sell until at least $3. I am a college student studying finance
We are back on Blue Star buddy boy ...
Once things start to get moving and The Company finds it way back on the NASDAQ (which might be a while), what are the possibilities you think of say a 1:10 reverse stock split to make the price more encouraging for investors. Say by year end it is trading at $1-1.25, you think they would entertain a reverse stock split to make it a $10 stock.
Maybe a reason to load up on shares while they are still cheap.
Not to spam up the board but anyone else have or trying to have 100,000 shares of POWER? Looking to reload very shortly and I can't wait for this baby to skyrocket... ahh Savoy's money (yahoo message board basher)
I can't believe people still act like this company is fake or a fraud. Like open your eyes, get with the times
Clicking on link from last post looks like we have a nice fleet there. It looked like there were two fleets of wind farms there and I'm just wondering which one is ours. I've seen that a few times that it is the largest wind farm in America so is that talking about Spinning Star, Cielo, Noelke Hill, or whatever it is now? Do we have a developer now to take to phase two (i saw a developers name thrown in there for Cielo or Noelke Hill or whatever). I saw in a earlier post it was scheduled to be done late 2013, early 2014
You will have to excuse myself here, I'm a little slow but like what the heck is going on here? I am getting confused with the information, disinformation. So it's now 24,000 acres, not 40,000 acres. Nice to see things moving with class action lawsuit and at least something appears in the works there to being over and done with.
I appreciate all you guys do here but is there any way you guys can update the company website on here so we are all on the same page with what we are looking at with number of turbines, what is connected to APWR, etc, etc. It's sad I call this the company website but that's the only place where I get my information. I can't blame APWR though bc if you have nothing good to say than staying quiet is not a "bad" idea. Although by the looks of it you guys can probably run The Company better than them
Positive news to buy/hold APWR has to be 1) they are hiring people. Companies in poor financial health don't hire people because they can't afford it 2) 116K shares swapped today, longest since Dec 31, which I'm sure was for tax reasons. Sad that's what we have to resort to but if APWR was just pure myth it wouldn't trade or hire people.
"I'm gonna leave you with one thought and then I'm gonna leave. I'm a big believer in fate..... And I got a good feeling about this"... That's for any golf fans out there, Ben Crenshaw before the miraculous US Ryder Cup team win in 1999
I noticed something the other day and it's kind of interesting. You look at other companies like say AAPL, GOOG, and the likes and on yahoo finance they have a 1yr target estimate of highly likely prices and then they have APWR with a 1yr target estimate of $15. Now I'm absolutely not going to say a stock trading at $.06 will be anywhere near $15 anytime soon. It's just interesting. After the financials and a few other issues are resolved is it possible that in 12 months APWR could be trading at say, $5?
I bought APWR right before the stock was halted in June 2011 and I felt like such an idiot for possibly investing my money in a shell company. Luckily, it doesn't appear to be the case (took a while to find out) bc shell companies don't hire employees and enter a billions of dollars joint venture with another company. Plus, a settlement where it wasn't like their is nothing for you, it's just it would be hard to get much more bc they are based in China and that's out of our jurisdiction. I think APWR has done an excellent job in the many various ways (alternate energy, solar, wind + optics co) of diversifying resources to create energy. I am looking forward to the turnaround and counting wads of Benjamins.
I've reloaded once since my original purchase of shares in 2011 and hopefully soon I will reload again. I can't imagine we can discuss how many shares we own but ill pose a question, how many shares of APWR do you want to own? ... I want a minimum of 50,000 shares.
Merry Christmas $APWR!! Hopefully next Xmas will be twice as merry thanks to you
