Looks like only 3 out of 11 would have made any money. Proves out the fact that charts don't work. If 8 of us would have chosen for the market to go up, Cuemaster would have been the winner. heh heh
I see a different color for S&P futures this morning. I thought GREEN was the only color allowed?
Great call on that nowwhat. Wish I would have bought some on Nov 30.
Here is the post I was responding to:

I thought you meant 25%. They can have it.
Nice long term charts. But what about the long term chart you posted yesterday where you thought there might be room to go up another 25% on the SPX from here? That would certainly flush the 3x short plays at -75% losses, as for instance the SPXU 3x short has been raped to 16.42; The -75% loss you speak of on top of that would drive he SPXU to around 4.00. Leaving no hope to ever get back money lost in shorting this market.
Very good advice my friend.
One of these days the tables will turn.
This FED funded market cannot last forever.
Amen brother.
If you check out a six month SPX with standard MACD,
you will see that we learned the previous three times the MACD crossed to the downside was profitable for short players.
This most recent MACD cross down on SPX has caused misery so far for shorts.
Another thing, the charts not only sucker you in to a trade; they also change over time in their reflection of the past. In other words, the charts are being used to sucker people into a position. If enough positions are taken due to the signal the chart is showing, the chart morphs. JMHO
Hey Footquarters,
Thank you for invitation. I missed your great charts and comments.
Thanks Rivers. I wondered where those guys went. I enjoy reading their board. I got into the SPXU earlier this week, based on the daily chart signal. The trade really looked good on Thursday, but Friday gave it all back.
Good trades to you.
You're right. I was just venting a little here. Some boards are here for us to read, but we are blocked from making a public reply.
Is it time to short?
Trend will not accept a pubic comment on his board. Privileged info? Thnak you for your free board. kbuilder
Well there is a board here that does not require a subscription. I will read this board, but not he others.
Good trades sir

Maybe tomorrow? I doubt it.
Your charts are great! Keep them coming. I shorted SPX last evening = bought SPXU @ 17.90. Daily chart.
On Bloomberg, I see SPX futures -10.70.

Yes VBR. It has tripled in share value since March 2009. Thank you for that. You have a good idea with Uranium investment if you find safe companies with track record. Could be risky if another accident comes along.

Your timing judgement has been excellent of late. I have been a long term short player. Everyone remember: VALUE
Hey Rivers,
Thank you for the good advice. Unfortunately, there is no place for me to go within the choices listed in the 401. Bill Goss has said many times that bond funds are at risk and he has been selling. He should know. And stock funds will almost surely get a nice haircut soon. There is no money market fund included in the 401. Speaking of money markets, I have a very large chunk of IRA money stashed at brokerage account in MMDA. Last market downturn was so harsh that some MMDA funds sunk below the holy $1.00 level. I'm sure you remember. So where is a safe place?
If you check out the last market down turn,
The SPX topped out on October 9th 2007 at 1565.15 (closing price)
It bottomed on March 9th, 2009 at 676.53. = Approx. 17 months bear.
Then it took until March 28 2013 for it to get back to 1569.19
A 5 1/2 year wait to break even on capital investment, if you had bought the high in 2007.
Dollar cost averaging into quality stocks to get dividends should pay over time, but a person must be willing to go through the downturns and possibly watch their capital investment erode as much as 50% or more. I wish I had the patience for it.
Good trades, and good luck with the dividends.
It is called the VALIC Fixed Annuity. It is offered as one of the choices of investments in my employer's 401k style retirement account. I don't know if the investment is open to new customers. There is no erosion of principal with this investment, however, it pays only quarterly. I can understand why you would be suspicious, as there is hardly any place to get private returns unless you take a lot more risk with stock and bond funds, ETF's, or ETN's.
Good trades to you.
YellowBull, yes, I see Bernanke repeatedly waffling now. The money flush continues and robotic follow-through drives asset prices higher; no matter the fact that bankers know there is no economy to sell into when the printing stops. I am NOT LONG any paper asset except cash holdings in IRA accounts ( paying nothing) and my entire 401k style retirement account has been stashed in the safest, lowest risk asset investment choice offered, which pays only 4.5%, but I am happy to remain there during these uncertain times.
That being said, my active trading account has been ravaged, as if being torn apart by a pack of rabid wolves. The constant overnight manipulation of asset prices has destroyed my former understanding of how to trade. I feel that I have a lot of company in my camp, and I believe this four year old market heist will soon have no choice but to turn the rabid wolves against the other camp. The other camp will be annihilated quickly and most of the rabid wolves will be forced to cannibalize themselves. Good trades to you sir.
I agree. What's the use to listen to anything the lying fed has to say? All we can do is pinch our noses and spin the wheel.
I'm coming back after while and watch the whole thing.
The words of the times: Good Vibes!
and Good Trades to you.

Where are you Technmetal?
Sorry to hear you folded, but now you have a tax advantage.
Get back on it!
I'm still short SPX. Waiting...I see some selling AH.
If I get out of this position with profit it will be pure luck.
Staying out of the radar is the game.
If the robots can ping us we're dead.
Take care!
Yes, thank you, I was expecting his call to reach the target and beyond for a decent correction.
20 - 25 points = close enough for Gov, work.
Unfortunately for shorts just another blip on the screen and more up. Good trades to you.
Thanks for the reply. Good trades,
Was Tony wrong on his last down call? He had been right for so long, but I think his last down call was wrong?
Thanks for the article rimshot.
Excerpt:
"Our current outlook is to expect upward pressure on the stock market, with the occasional buying frenzy, until the rotation ends, but once the rotation starts to wane, which could happen within as soon as a week or two, the market will turn down on a dime and fall aggressively. There are long opportunities now, and there will be shorting opportunities soon, but this is not a buy-and-hold market."
Little more. Shilling is a well educated man and has a documented track record. But we know anything can happen. It's up to the house.
You do really good work here!

Looks like valid call based on your chart; Low volume Wed. and probably finish today below average volume.
Monday could move near lower BB?
Not adding here, but looking to take some short positions off bit by bit.
Good trades to you.
Nice work. Watching... Good trades!
Your work is great. I can't wait until you start drawing a "digression" channel. Good trades!
Thanks for posting the charts.
I am forced to play the weekly.
Your earlier projection of low in July...
Do you see possibility of -10% off May high?
I read and appreciate your posts. i am unable to trade on a daily basis right now, holding long term short position, currently underwater. You do a great job. Still working full time so can't follow real time with you and others here. Good trades to you.
Your post made my day rotor! LOL while I work outside. Everytime I think of it LOL. Good trades sir.
