Learn About God's Son - Jesus
Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees;
then I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, and I will keep
your law and obey it with all my heart.
Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and
not toward selfish gain.
Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word.
Psalm 119:33-37 NIV

Jesus Is the Christ - God and Man in one person
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Colossians 1:13-16 NIV

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

excel for president! =o)
TINY -im really liking the upside potential with this one. the media attention is good also
im thinking third party maybe? when we all bow before jesus on judgement day at least i can say i tried to vote his will, and the blood of 40 some million unborn babies will fall somewhere else. but im really frusterated with the republicans for failing to undo the the many wrongs in our legal system amung other things.(being able to shaft people of thier pensions) for one and not dealing with the border and all the unjust spending of our taxes. you know Bush may be unpopular for the republicans but at least he made a better effort at his pledges than any of those in office. I would allmost predict that they will move farther left in an effort to regain power. even though i think its the right who have gave up on them. - just a thought.
oh yes, we even have the box set to record every show! great wisdom! welcome to the board.
ok, excel. expect to see results my friend!
Anybody that has a prayer request feel free to post public or in pivate. its not good that man should be alone. we need community to strengthen us as we war against our own flesh and the firey darts of darkness. im sure anyone here would be more than happy to send their request to the name above all names to get you or your loved ones through any situation. peace-out and God Bless.
good post
NASHVILLE (Billboard) - Christian rock band Skillet wants to expand into the mainstream market with an album that examines such topics as teen suicide and self-mutilation.
"Comatose," Skillet's seventh album, supplies hard rock anthems alongside radio-friendly ballads. Singer John Cooper also explores his turbulent relationship with his father.
The band started eyeing mainstream outlets with its previous effort, "Collide," which was picked up by Atlantic Records' Lava Records unit and sold 203,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"When we made 'Collide,"' Cooper says, "there was a shift from writing lyrics about my relationship with God to writing lyrics about relationships that all kinds of people are dealing with, not just what the Christians feel, but all people feel."
Comprising Cooper on vocals and bass; his wife, Korey, on keyboards; Ben Kasica on guitar; and Lori Peters on drums, Skillet launched 10 years ago in Memphis, but is now based in Kenosha, Wis. The band began its career on Ardent/ForeFront Records, recording three albums -- including 2001's "Alien Youth," which sold 133,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
When the members started the "Comatose" sessions last spring, their Atlantic rep Andy Karp challenged them to make their own "Hysteria," referencing the landmark 1987 Def Leppard release. Karp says the goal was "a record with five or six singles on it, where the album tracks are better than most people's singles . . . I think they hit the mark."
Cooper cites "Hysteria" as one of his favorite albums.
"That was the goal, to make a record where every song on that record was really awesome. Today's records are more about singles than entire albums."
Because Cooper says the members never wanted to abandon its Christian fans, Ardent will distribute the new album to Christian outlets, while Atlantic is handling mainstream outlets.
The first single targeted at the secular market, "Whispers in the Dark," was the second most-added song at active rock radio the week of September 19. The first Christian single, "Rebirthing," has already hit No. 1 on the Christian rock chart of Billboard's sister publication R&R.
Karp sees Skillet carrying forward the legacy of legendary Atlantic rock acts like Led Zeppelin, Genesis and Yes. "All of those acts . . . took a long time to develop," Karp says. "Skillet has paid their dues, and I think the time is now."
not sure, but i don't think so.
AUTHORITATIVE RANKING OF NANOTECHNOLOGY START-UP COMPANIES TO BE RELEASED AT UPCOMING LUX EXECUTIVE SUMMIT
Study ranks 136 venture-capital-backed nanotech start-ups worldwide on suitability for partnership
New York, NY – October 5, 2006 – 2006 has been a banner year for nanotechnology partnerships, as small companies like A123Systems and NanoMaterials Technology tied up with corporate giants like Black & Decker and BASF. But nanotechnology’s technical challenges, contorted intellectual property landscape, and multi-step value chains make selecting a partner difficult. The good news: Corporate executives can rely on objective criteria to shortlist start-ups for partnership on an industry-specific basis, according to a new report from Lux Research entitled “Ranking Nanotech Start-ups for Partnership Value.” The ranking from this report, which evaluates all 136 venture capital-backed, independently-operating nanotech start-ups worldwide, will be exclusively released at the upcoming Lux Executive Summit conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 16-17.
To assess nanotechnology start-ups on their suitability for corporate partnerships, the Lux Research analyst team developed a robust evaluation tool with 20 objective criteria spanning four success factors – 1) scientific pipeline, 2) commercial viability, 3) legal and regulatory position, and 4) operational and financial performance. The evaluation incorporated both quantitative criteria like the number of U.S. patents issued as well as qualitative criteria like the strength of companies’ management teams. All criteria were scored on well-documented 1 to 5 scales, and each company evaluated was provided with a summary of initial scores for feedback prior to finalization. In addition to the overall results, the report also presents rankings by success factor and industry sector.
Lux Research Senior Analyst Mark Bünger will unveil the results of the study on Tuesday, October 17 during a speech at the second annual Lux Executive Summit. “The Lux Executive Summit is a forum for corporate and start-up leaders to meet, learn, and transact,” said Lux Research President Matthew M. Nordan. “This ranking of nanotech start-ups – and the analytical rigor behind it – will help set the stage for dealmaking.”
The Lux Executive Summit is the only event designed to provide corporate executives and investment managers with the knowledge and insights required to create a visionary nanotechnology strategy. The event is grounded by the proprietary data and analysis from Lux Research’s world-renowned analyst team, joined onstage by more than 50 speakers from large corporations, innovative start-ups, forward-thinking investment management firms, and the public sector. Capacity is limited at this premier event. For the 2006 Lux Executive Summit agenda, early registration and additional event details, please visit www.luxexecutivesummit.com. excellent! =o)
nope, not yet. i will look it up though
thanks Greg
no greater love than that. =o)
thanks,we are doing good here, but still haven't called it home yet. i can see that God had growth in mind for us in this move and i am comforted in knowing that. i really have the desire to play and record but have yet to do any recording since ive been here. maybe when it cools down i will have more energy to get it moving. i know i have to set very small goals just to get the song writing going. like if i say everyday i just have to pick up my guitar and play a few chords that will get me going and maybe i will even play for a few hours. i read a great little book called "the time of your life" that dealt with that kind of thing. that room looks real relaxing. i used to have that same canoe shelf in my studio back home. thanks for your prayers bro, i know there not going unanswered.
Leaving all to follow Him
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Today's Scripture
Come, you who are blessed by my Father
"Then the King will say to those on his right,
'Come, you who are blessed by my Father;
take your inheritance, the kingdom
prepared for you since the creation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did
for one of the least of these brothers
of mine, you did for me.'

Wal-Mart asks for, and receives, permission to join homosexual marriage group
Wal-Mart comes out of the closet
Dear shane,
Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world, has asked for and received permission to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The NGLCC is a leading promoter of homosexual marriage.
Read "Wal-Mart Partners With Gay and Lesbian Group"
Although Wal-Mart has never excluded homosexuals from being employees, customers, or suppliers, the company wanted to be more closely identified with promoting the homosexual agenda. Wal-Mart is now a "corporate member" of the NGLCC, putting their approval on the NGLCC's efforts to abolish the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. A Wal-Mart vice president will serve as an advisor to the NGLCC, helping them promote homosexual marriage.
Wal-Mart agreed to give $25,000 to the NGLCC and to pay for two conferences scheduled by NGLCC. Also, Wal-Mart will give homosexual-owned businesses special treatment when making purchases. Companies not owned by homosexuals will be moved down the list.
NGLCC called Wal-Mart's action "part of the company's ongoing commitment to advancing diversity (homosexuality) among all of its associate, supplier and customer bases."
Wal-Mart is offering the same kind of support for homosexual marriage which Ford Motor Company has been giving to homosexual groups for years.
Sometimes i wonder how long it will take to remove alot of these far left politically corect "powers that be" and we can again have a government that is of,by and for the people. cause you know if a poll was takin most people would say GET OVER IT STUPID! THE BOOK STAYS - YOU GO! =o)
This week's promise: God has wonderful plans for your life
How does God lead?
"My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish."
John 10:27-28 NLT
Hearing His voice
As our Good Shepherd, Jesus promises that we can hear and know His voice. This does not, however, have to be some mysterious, mystical process. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that God speaks to you quite often. I would venture to say He has spoken to you lately and may be speaking to you right now in some way.
God speaks to us through His Word. God will never lead us contrary to His written Word. It is our litmus test, our bedrock, our absolute.
God speaks to us through circumstances. Those circumstances can include failure. Jonah certainly heard God through his mistake. God may even speak to us through tragedy or hardship. C. S. Lewis wrote that, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains. It is His megaphone to arouse a deaf world."
God speaks to us through His peace. When we live in God's will, we enjoy His peace. Do you need God to make a crucial call in your life? Then listen for His peace.
And once we have heard God's voice, what should we do? We must follow. Jesus calls, we respond. He whispers, we move. We follow—and then we keep on listening.
