MW, the best I can say is that
the MMs pretty much control this..
along with the fear-mongering by
others (and maybe them).
"They" have the little books and can
do whatever "they" want to scare us
or to inspire us.
"The new BX market will initiate trading in options
linked to Alcoa Inc., (AA), Citigroup Inc. (C),
Intel Corp. (INTC), Micron Technology Inc. (MU)
and Patriot Coal Corp. (PCX). "
That's pretty heady (and secure) company.
Let's hope the vast majority of the option are
CALLS.
At least for PCX.
COMMITMENT - Definition:
1. the act of committing or pledging
2. the state of being committed or pledged
3. an obligation, promise, etc that restricts one's freedom of action
4. a future financial obligation or contingent liability
PS
PLEDGE - Definition:
a solemn promise or agreement to do or refrain from doing something: a pledge of aid; a pledge not to wage war.
LVS? There was a missed opportunity.
Back then "they" were treating
the gambling saloons the same way
"they" are treating coal companies now.
Las Vegas Sands went from $1 dollar to
$15 in 2 months and to $50 in about
2 years. (A 50 Banger)
All you heard was BK BK BK BK BK.
It's as if "investors" think Seeking A
is a god. Look at how they pumped and
then dumped JRCC.. in just a few days.
From about $2 to almost $4.
And now heading back to $2.
With the snap of a finger.. or a
keystroke or 2.
Where's that Alpha guy with the cowboy
hat who had nothing but good to say
about PCX and coal?
Was he a "false flag"?
RESPONSE? I got this response back in 2 days
back on June 16, 2012 (it seems like
millions of years ago now):
As we have announced in recent weeks, we are working with the Blackstone Group to achieve an optimal financing package.
Our top executives and Board stock ownership, taken together, would put the group as one of our top 10 shareholders, so our management team has a lot of "skin in the game," as well.
We will publish a press release or other public disclosure as appropriate when we have further updates to provide.
Janine Orf
Vice President - Investor Relations
Patriot Coal Corporation
The "tutes" that supposedly own about
65% of the company at prices way back
in the teens should be jumping all over
that at these prices.
Shouldn't they?
Some of them rated PCX "hold" or
"buy" way back at much much higher
prices. Has anybody seen a recent
downgrade by any of them.. with price
targets of $1 dollar?
Those folks who are being asked to
do the refinancing would be a lot
smarter to just outright buy PCX.
I guess the ONLY "good" news.. if
there is any.. is that ALL of the
coal companies are being destroyed
by the MMs and their pals.
How come there aren't any BK rumors
about BTU and the others?
It would seem that if a finance deal
was around the corner.. friends of friends
in the "know" would be buying stock at these
seemingly rock bottom prices.
Apparently nobody in the "know" (assuming
the "know" is successful refinance) is
doing any buying.
That is very discouraging.
I bought at 7, 5, 4, and most recently at
1.25.
If it was "good" at 7, it has to be
a steal at these prices.
I think if Irl & friends would buy a
couple of dozen 10,000 shares we
could at least sleep better at night.
Nice picture. It needs to go up for
it to be a double bottom.
From right here.
I remember Manitowac a few years ago
when "they" drove her down to about
$3 with BK rumors.
When financing was announced it shot up
to about $11 in a few weeks.
My guess is that some of Peabody's bonds aren't
doing much better than PCX's bonds.
It makes NO sense that CHK AND coal
are both plunging.
They would seem to be semi-mutually
exclusive.
All the coals are hitting one new
low after another.
This is in spite of NG going up
in price daily.
It makes no sense.. unless...
I hope you didn't think I was being
too sarcastic.
I guess what I was saying is that it
is abominable that "they" can get
away with it for so long.. and so
obviously.
But that's what happens when they
have a few million to play with..
and some rumor mongers to help them.
Please let me (us) know when "they"..
stop manipulating the price.
Thanks.
:)
The more I read and hear about CHK..
the more it sounds like a scam.
Think dot com bubble.
Think Madoff.
Couldn't India or China buy $5 billion
worth of coal for about $1 billion?
IE: pay $10/share for PCX.. or
maybe more.
Stanner. YUP! eom
excerpt: "company (PCX) is more solvent
than 32% of companies analyzed."
STUPID Bernie the Burp Sanders:
"They" should be tarred and feathered.
http://nvrdc.wordpress.com/2012/06/22/the-week-in-review/
excerpt:
Power Plant Pollution The EPA rule on power plant pollution survived a resolution to roll it back. The resolution was offered by Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe. “To Senator Inhofe and others, I say, respectfully, stop poisoning our children,” Sanders said. A member of the Senate environment and energy committees, Sanders also said retrofitting power plants will create thousands of good-paying jobs. Watch...
MY GOD.. the things you learn while
waiting for a few KDSs to be sold....
Frank: Good find! I can hardly believe
these guys would be putting their reputations
(and egos) on the line if there weren't good
things ahead.. soon.
BK would be the greatest embarrassment of
their entire lives.
They do not want to be laughing stocks.
Ya think?
I think the JRCC float is a lot less
than 26 million. Maybe more like about
7 million.
TDAmer says:
36% (of float) is short
70% (total shares owned by) tutes
36 million total shares.
70% of 36 million shares = about 25 million shares tied up by tutes
36% of 11 million float shares (36 - 25) = about 4 million
Thus float is about 7 million (11 - 4)
PCX is in a similar position float wise
JRCC could turn real fast.. like PCX could.
JRCC: Look at them this last week. Up
100% +
They certainly aren't any better than PCX.
They are losing money even faster.
I wonder when "they" are going to start
JRCC bankruptcy rumors.
PCX: ".. including the refinancing of our debt
obligations that become due in March 2013."
MARCH 2013!
The debt doesn't even come due for another 8 months.
There is no reason listen to or even think about BK rumors.
All that is needed is a couple (out of dozens) of things
to work out:
Higher NG and oil prices.
Hot summer and cold winter.
And just as importantly.. for the MMs and
shortee perverts to put on their other hats.
And go long.. like happens so often when
small companies can be manipulated by evil.
THE SILENCE FROM HQTRS IS DEAFENING. eom
Just about the only "good" news is
that ALL of the other coal companies
are also hitting multi-years lows..
day after day.
I've never seen anything quite like it.
The bursting of the dot-com bubble
wasn't nearly as bad as this.
And coal is God's gift to America.
One of them.
RJ, did you mean waiting for payments "to"..
or from.
And you said "he I" would not
believe the amount of quoting
they are doing..
If it's "I" that makes is sound
as if you would be amazed at some
of the quotes.
Amazed good or amazed bad?
It's a little confusing.
You's think Irl would at least
try to put some lipstick on this
(S&P) deletion debacle.
How many years has PCX been on
that Index?
PATENT THEFT? What are the chances
that some of these companies who have
been looking at, picking at, peeking at,
and poking at the KDS for years.. might
be figuring out how to make their
own KDGs?
G standing for Gadgets.
THAT scares me. And FASC does not
appear to have the resources to fight
patent theft.
OT - OK... in about 8 hours.. maybe 2.
OUCH! That can't make any potential
lenders happy.
News like this should have come from hqtrs.
I sure would like to see Irl buying
a few 100 thousand shares...
SUNDROP? How do we keep them from
stealing our patents? I am sure
Brian had to show them the KDS
and let them play with it.
If Sundrop is related to Chesapeake..
you know darn well they will be
stealing our patents.
Chesapeake = slime.
There was a "reason". The MMs
and shortee freaks haven't decided
to go the other direction yet.
Me too. $1.41.. it brought my
average down to (GULP!) $4.50.
TD and this one say 63%. But 75%
makes me happier.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=PCX+Key+Statistics
Our "partner" Chesapeake is in the
headlines today.
Wouldn't it be great if they put
out a bulletin saying "not to worry..
we've got things under control..
with out new KDSs."
