Tritium directly make money by buying parts, assembling a charger and selling the charger at a profit. Which can be measured in "inventory turnover time", the lower the turnover time, the less cash constraints. Tritium currently needs cash to grow (build production capacity). A assembly line in Tenesee plant cost costs only 2m$ to build, which will pay its self back after 1000 unites produced (or more or less 5 months).
With scale Tritium will also be able to get to a close to negative cash convertion cycle alowing them to scale without needing to raise additional funds. Also, Tritium currently has enough cash 70m$ and another 75m$ convertable enough cash to get to positive cash flow.
Tritium has huge clients, all waiting for chargers, Selling to a single party like Shell would be blocked by BP or Enel X.
Volta had many red flags (ceo leave, cash issues, intrest rates, high roi on investments)
Tritium suffering from Gilbarco (Vontier) getting rid of their shares on open market.
I'm guessing most of the selling today was from the large shareholder (Vontier) that wants to exit their holdings after not being able to acquire Tritium outright for themselves. Hopefully Vontier took the opportunity to sell the rest of their position today and we can finally start to trend up.
I agree. I hope Trevor St Baker agrees as well and takes advantage of this opportunity to move the rest of his proceeds from the sale of his coal business to Tritium and squeeze todays shorts.
My Xmas present has finally arrived!!

Will we be getting the semi annual financial report in about a month from now? Around Feb 15th? Does anyone know an exact date? I am curious to see how production is ramping up in the new TN factory and to who those newly made chargers are going to. I just don't understand if the govt is pushing the mass adoption of EV's, why the state hwy depts across the country are not applying for the federal funds to install fast chargers along the roadways. Then the hwy dept can sell the electricity and use the $ from that to put back into the roads and maybe in the end reducing the amount of tax dollars that need to go toward maintains our roads. Maybe that's just to simple of an idea.
Last night on nationally broadcast Nightly News with Lester Holt, Tritium chargers made an appearance. In a segment talking about the electrification of Amazon and semi trucks, they showed multiple times the chargers in the background were TRITIUM chargers!! Good national exposure
Since Tritium's financial year starts and ends on June 30th, Tritium's 1st Qt financials should be due in a couple of weeks. Hope they are starting to realize some of the backlog and are ramping up production of their new factory!!!

Solid Power EV Battery Line to Ramp Up to 300 Cells a Week
Source: Dow Jones News
By Chris Wack
Solid Power Inc. on Monday said it completed installation of its electric-vehicle battery pilot production line designed to produce EV-scale solid-state cells.
The company, which makes battery cells for electric vehicles, has partnerships with BMW and Ford Motor.
Solid Power said it plans to produce silicon EV cells for internal testing before delivering cells to its automotive partners to begin automotive qualification testing, which is planned for the end of the year. The cells are designed to power longer-range electric vehicles.
"The installation of this EV cell pilot line will allow us to produce EV-scale cells suitable for initiating the formal automotive qualification process," Solid Power Chief Executive Doug Campbell said.
When running at full capacity, Solid Power's EV cell pilot line is expected to be capable of producing 300 cells per week, or 15,000 cells per year, with the majority of those planned for automotive qualification testing.

I trade the warrants as well
Great news!! When the market turns back up, investors are gonna turn toward the EV sector in a big way. When investors finally start to dig in beyond the flashy names and find out who makes the chargers that everyone is using (Tritium) we will fly.
A lot of reservations for Ford’s EV pickups
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.motor1.com/news/523583/ford-maverick-lightning-reservation-numbers/amp/
Last time we were pulled down to $11, we shoot back up to $14 in 3 days. Three trading days after today brings us a sweeeeeet merger with what I see as the first to market next generation EV solid state battery company. I think post merger, SLDP will fly!
Seems like someone is attempting to pull the price down to scare investors out. No where near enough volume on this downward pull to get worried. If this doesn’t run much pre merger, it’s gonna explode post merger. Just my opinion.
Am I the only one who see’s all of the ads for the new Ford Lightning Electric pickup that is coming spring 2022? Timing seems to line up perfectly with what Solid Power has said they will be doing as far as gearing up automotive grade production. Then you have all the other auto makers EV ads as well, and still most of the next generation battery stock have not been moving much. Do people not yet understand that EV’s are going to be dependent on batteries?
Solid Power will have automotive grade solid state batteries in production in 3-4months. Hard to believe this isn’t heading anywhere but straight up.
Market makers need to get the RSI down before Congress passes infrastructure? Or just healthy pullback before future growth.
New EV Batteries Hold Big Promise. Now Somebody Has to Make Them. -- Barrons.com

The electric-vehicle battery technology company SES showed off hybrid technology it says can achieve better range, costs, and safety for EVs on Wednesday. It could represent a huge step forward for the industry, if SES can get its batteries through development and into cars.
Investors appear optimistic. Shares of Ivanhoe Capital Acquisition (ticker: IVAN), a special-purpose acquisition company that is acquiring SES, gained 2.8% in midday trading Wednesday. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average were down 0.1% and 0.2%, respectively.
SES's technology straddles the divide between traditional batteries with graphite anodes and liquid electrolytes facilitating the flow of electrons, and solid-state batteries, another technology being developed, that use pure lithium anodes, but without liquid electrolytes. Solid-state batteries offer more punch, or energy density, but are hard to manufacture.
"We are not solid state," said SES founder Qichao Hu in his opening remarks. SES believes its approach--a pure lithium anode plus liquid electrolytes -- will solve the manufacturing challenge while delivering roughly 75% better energy density than current batteries.
Better batteries are key to getting EV costs and charging time down. "Every 30 or 40 years energy density doubles," continued Hu. "This is the Moore's law of batteries." Moore's law refers to Gordon Moore's observation that the number of transistors on a microchip tends to double every couple of years.
SES is working with auto makers such as General Motors (GM) and Hyundai Motor (005380.Korea). It plans to deliver "A" samples to auto makers in 2022. "B" and "C" samples are slated for 2024. Production is slated for 2025.
"A" samples are essentially prototypes, while "B" samples are mature prototypes that work in vehicles. "C" samples are made with tooling suitable for automotive production.
SES expects to generate about $500 million in sales in 2025. The following year, in 2026, the company projects $3.2 billion in sales. The company is valued at about $3.5 billion based on the 330 million shares that will be outstanding after the Ivanhoe deal is done.
It isn't the only option for investors interested in next-generation battery technology. Solid Power, which is working on solid-state batteries, is merging with Decarbonization Plus Acquisition Corp III (DCRC). Solid Power stock is valued at about $2.4 billion based on the 184 million shares that will be outstanding after that deal wraps up.
QuantumScape (QS), the other would-be disrupter in the EV battery business, is also working on solid-state batteries. It merged with a SPAC in November 2020 and is now valued at about $14 billion.
All three tech startups only expect to have sales years from now. Investors aren't sure what to do with the stocks.
Quantum shares are down about 63% year to date, but have risen about 42% over the past three months. Stock in Decarbonization Plus--the company merging with Solid Power--is up 30% over the past three months, while Ivanhoe--the SPAC buying SES -- is up about 6% over that span.
More volatility is likely as all three work toward milestones such as providing "A" and "B" samples.

I own some of both dcrcw & dcrc as well as some call options. All are doing very well and I agree that this company is sitting pretty in the right place at the right time.
Aren’t the warrants starting to get a little pricey compared to the underlying? Warrants at $4 + $11.50 to redeem = $15.50 for a stock trading at $12
All batteries were moving around today. QS up and IVAN (Solid Energy Systems) starting to move as well.
Just curious if anyone here would have any info on a post I read on the yahoo DCRC board. I said that the merger with Solid Power is contingent on DCRC investors having a certain amount of money to make the merger happen and that some of their investors backed out and they are short the required funds to complete the merger. Is there any truth to that yahoo post, or just BS.
