Google on CNBC last night
I'm relatively new to NEOM and this board - but I would like to get some of your thoughts on something I saw on the Google profile on CNBC last night.
During the last half of the show, Google introduced a new product that allowed users to take a picture with their phone and the picture would trigger a search. I found this alarming - why put a 2D barcode on a product if the consumer can just take a picture of the product and trigger a search?
I have a feeling that someone is going to mention the fact that the Google product merely triggers a search and does not lead the consumer to content specifically designed by the company selling the product - but I doubt that is far behind for Google. IMO this is not a good thing for NEOM - Any thoughts?
By the way,I had my hands on the Super Freakonomics book - it had a 2D barcode on the back and I used my Neoreader. It worked great the first time I tried! Cool!
