I've been asking for reports for several months as well. All that you ever see posted for Marani is from 3 - 5 years ago. People post pictures of the bottle, but it's always the old bottle and not the one featured on their old website that hasn't been updated for years. The CEO, Margrit Eyraud, is a realtor in Glendale CA., their VP, Ara Zartarian, is listed as a VP of a non alcohol related company and their CFO, Ani Kevorkian, started her own "consulting" company. I haven't seen any sales reports, ever. Again, people post the accounts that carried Marani, 3 - 5 years ago but there hasn't been any published sales reports that I've ever seen.
Check out the Regency website. They only sell armagnac and cognacs, as far as spirits. Ara Zartarian, the CEO according to this post, is working at another company, not liquor related. Margrit Eyraud, the original and last CEO, is selling real estate in Glendale California. All of these posts and updates are from over 3 years ago. Has anyone seen the new bottle, that's been around from 3 years ago, in any stores? Who is running this company? Is there a company? Has anyone seen the new bottle in a store, anywhere? Has anyone seen any sales reports? Has anyone seen anything???
This is from over 2 years ago and it is the old packaging. I would like to see some sales figures from this company. All of the upper management have gone on to other companies.
Does this company have any revenues? They list accounts on their website from 3 years ago. Has anyone ever seen any revenue reports or actual sales reports? Nothing has happened with this company, as far as their vodka sales, in 3 years. Their website has no updates and their CEO, President and CFO have jobs with other companies. The CEO is selling real estate in California. The CFO started her own company. The VP of sales is working for another company. Who is selling vodka?
Marani hasn't had a distributor in Illinois in over 2 years. Any bottles in Illinois are the old packaging and are just sitting on the shelf. I called Marani and they told me that Wein Bauer is their distributor in Illinois. I called Wein Bauer and they said that they haven't had the brand in a couple of years. I have never seen a sales report, which is not a good sign. On the Marani website, you will see many accounts listed, that at one time purchased it but the website hasn't been updated in several years. There hasn't been any information from the company in a long time. The CEO is now a realtor, the VP of Sales is with a new company and the CFO started her own "management" company.
The CEO, Margrit Eyraud, is currently a real estate agent in Glendale CA.
The VP of Sales, Ara Zartarian, now works at ReasonsUSA.
The CFO, Ani Kevorkian, started her own management company.
No management, no product sales...
Margrit is selling real estate.
This number is disconnected. The one on their website is as well.
Billboards and distributor signings take a huge amount of money. I have had the vodka and it is very good but it takes money for people to know the name. It's not like it's a new product. They have been around for 10 years. They also did a new bottle design a couple of years ago but I'm not sure if that ever went to market.
Do you have actual sales figures? I have never seen any sales figures for the actual product. They have no distribution in PA or IL, so sales don't exist there. I would love to see actual sales figures on the product. Someone posted the accounts where the product used to be sold but this was from the Marani website. The website hasn't been updated in over 2 years. The CEO is a realtor in Glendale CA., the VP of Sales works for ReasonsUSA and the CFO is the "President" of a management company that she started. Who is steering the ship?
Ara Zartarian, VP of Sales, has a new job with another company, according to Linkedin. Margrit Eyraud is selling real estate. This company is dead.
Marani Brands, Inc. (MRIB: OTC Link) | Tier Change
Thu, Mar 31, 2011 12:00 - Marani Brands, Inc. (MRIB: OTC Link) - Tier Change - The symbol, MRIB, no longer is classified as OTC Pink Limited. As of Thu, Mar 31, 2011, MRIB resides in the OTC Pink No Information tier. You may find a complete list of tier changes at otcmarkets.com.
No Information - This tier indicates companies that are unwilling or unable or willing to provide disclosure to the public markets - either to a regulator, a stock exchange or Pink Sheets. Companies in this category do not make Current Information available via Pink Sheets News Service, or if they do, the available information is older than six months. This category includes defunct companies that have ceased operations as well as 'dark' companies with questionable management and market disclosure practices. Publicly traded companies that are not willing to provide information to investors should be treated with suspicion and their securities should be considered highly risky.
The problem ahead of them, if they are still in business, is getting distribution. There are thousands of vodkas out there fighting for shelf space and back bar space. Without marketing dollars, which they don't have, they will never get to market. That's why they are no longer in Illinois and Pennsylvania. I don't even know if they are even in California. This company has been in business for 10 years! I jumped on board when they had press releases stating that they were importing Phuket beer and Cigar in a Bottle. They never ended up importing it but they got people to invest because of their "expansion lies". I hope GAM can get rid of the family that ran it in to the ground and do something with the brand, if it isn't too late. I've never tasted the vodka but I also read good things about it.
It appears that they already jumped ship. Their building, which looks like a dump, is occupied by someone else. Their phone is disconnected and there are no responses by email. They have been dropped in Illinois and Pennsylvania. Everything on their website is from 2008 & 2009. If they spent the same time and energy in selling vodka as they do trying to sell stock, they might have succeeded. Hopefully GAM is taking over and got rid of the people that ran this company in to the ground.
The list on the Marani website lists about 500 accounts in Chicago. Again, that list is from years ago, on their website. I'm sure you can find some stores with some bottles still sitting on the shelf. Marani is not distributed in Illinois. I called their last distributor and they no longer carry the brand. Pennsylvania just de-listed them from their state control stores. Has anyone seen any case sales statements?
Have any statements been false? By the way "gonzille", your private messages to me show me that you must be 15 years old. Very immature statements. I can post them if you like...
Item 1A. Risk Factors
If we are unable to meet our future capital needs, we may be required to reduce or curtail operations.
To date, we have relied on funding from investors, our officers and directors, and our limited sales to fund operations. Our future capital requirements will depend on many factors, including our ability to market our products successfully, cash flow from operations, and our ability to obtain financing in the capital markets. Our business plan requires additional funding beyond our anticipated cash flow from operations. Consequently, we intend to raise funds through private placements, public offerings or other financings to fund our future capital requirements, including the potential acquisition of Eraskh Winery, Ltd., the current single supplier of our products. Any equity financings would result in dilution to our then-existing stockholders. Sources of debt financing may result in higher interest expense and may expose us to liquidity problems. Any financing, if available, may be on unfavorable terms. If adequate funds are not obtained, we may be required to reduce or curtail operations. We anticipate that our existing capital resources will be adequate to satisfy our operating expenses and capital requirements for approximately six (6) months. However, this estimate of expenses and capital requirements may prove to be inaccurate.
Call Von's & Ralph's. Have any of my statements been false? Are they importing Phuket Beer or Cigar in a Bottle? NO!
This information is false. It's from their website that hasn't been updated in over 2 years! Please check out the Von's, Ralph's and any other stores. Nobody can find this product in the market or any sales reports from them. They list false accounts along with listing false statements about Phuket Beer and Cigar In A Bottle being imported by Marani. They give false information to attract investors. I would love to see a sales report. The only report you can find are the ones where they have operated at a loss of millions of dollars, every year.
Marani isn't listed as a sponsor or listed on the Food & Drinks tab for the event. The streaming logo is their old logo, not their new logo. The Pennsylvania close out is their old logo as well. Has anyone seen the new bottles anywhere? Has anybody seen any reports on cases sold and where they are sold?
When you click on the link for stpattysfest, the site mentions RND vodka and Krol. No mention of Marani in the food and drinks or in the sponsor tab. It's only mentioned on the Backpage ad.
They are being closed out in Pennsylvania. Notice the old bottle. Their only state is California, if that.
My concerns stem from their false reporting in the past. Look up Marani with Phuket Beer and Cigar in a Bottle.
This promo was from 3 months ago and the vodka is featured at $3.00 for an ultra premium drink? The distributor that had the product unloaded what they had left. They have no distributors in Illinois. I called Marani and they gave me the name of their Illinois distriubtor and that distributor told me that they no longer carry the brand.
Marani is not distributed by Regency. Their "showcase" was in 2008, when Marani was in distribution. If Marani is distributed in 1500 off premise and 900 on premise accounts, where is a report on case sales? Marani is not sold in Ralph's, Safeway, Kroger, Dominicks or Von's. They may have been sold in those accounts 3 years ago, but they are no longer in them.
They are now MRIB:PK because they won't do any financials. They have been operating at a loss every year. They look for investors but never say anything about case sales. Their website lists sales in California and Illinois. They are not distributed in Illinois. I don't believe they have distribution in California, which is their home base. Very shady...
This can't be a good sign. Why aren't they filing their financial statements???
Marani Brands To Be Deleted From OTCBB
11/16/2010
Marani Brands, Inc.s common stock will be deleted from OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) effective November 17, 2010 on account of its failure to comply with NASD 6530. The company will be added to NBB.
Have they finally posted their quarterly reports? I haven't heard anything. I hope I can recoup some money from these people.
There are other posts at mrib. They are now mribe because they are very late with their financial reporting. That's never a good sign.
0.0005 and still no quarterly statement??? Have they given up or are they too busy trying to find investors, instead of trying to sell some vodka!!
They are now listed as MRIBE. The E was added because they are delinquent with their financial reporting, which is never a good sign. They spend more time trying to sell shares and looking for investors than they do trying to sell vodka.
I can't wait to see the financials that are supposed to be up on 10/13. No sales but huge salaries...
These figures are from Bloomberg Businessweek
Margrit Eyraud, CEO
TOTAL COMPENSATION*
Total Calculated Compensation $2,286,946
Ara Zartarian, COO
TOTAL COMPENSATION*
Total Calculated Compensation $194,008
Ani Kevorkian, Director (Former CFO)
TOTAL COMPENSATION*
Total Calculated Compensation $189,144
They also look for investors along with selling stock. I have an idea, SELL SOME VODKA!!
Marani Brands, Inc. announced delayed annual 10-K filing
09/28/2010
On 09/28/2010, Marani Brands, Inc. announced that they will be unable to file their next 10-K by the deadline required by the SEC.
I'm sure if there was good news, they would be filing on time. They have 1 item and can't make the SEC deadline.
No quarterly report??? This company is late each quarter with their report. Their new CFO resigned, so that could be an issue. Will they ever hold a share holders meeting? I sure hope so. They have a lot of questions to answer.
Bloomberg Business Week reported that the 3 siblings that ran this company in to the ground, with millions of dollars of debt, are getting almost $600,000.00 between them in salary. The stock keeps going down...
There must have been an error on this site. I rebooted and it came up. It's still at $0.016 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I make up some of the money I have in this.
Did this company go out of business? I checked here and it said that Marani Brands "Not Found". I know that things haven't been good since the former CEO returned.
The CFO "resigned" to "pursue other opportunities".
