Interesting. How was it good for PLUG? One month ago, the date on the article, 2/1 PLUG closed at 4.70, yesterday it closed at 3.53 with a gap down expected this morning. Yesterday's close was 25% down from the article printing, with a lot more dilution this last month and more dilution in the future set in stone to pay the bills. It's still costing PLUG money for their sales and the insiders salary and will be that way for some time in the future, so the more product they sell and the longer management continues to get their cut, the more shares they're going to have to sell to pay for it all. This stock is trader's dream and investor's nightmare.

Ecommerce giant Amazon’s lobbyists are to be banned from the European parliament as part of an escalating dispute over transparency and working conditions.
The European parliament confirmed on Tuesday that the access badges that give Amazon lobbyists permission to be on its premises will be withdrawn after a group of MEPs called for the move, saying the company had repeatedly refused to engage with it about its approach to workers’ rights and labour conditions.
It is only the second time that a company’s lobbyists have been banned from entering the European parliament, after agrochemical company Monsanto’s representatives were barred in 2017....................

The 18-year-old son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was arrested Tuesday and hit with 22 criminal charges, including several felonies, following a rash of robberies in Rifle, Colorado, an area within the Republican lawmaker’s district.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the Rifle Police Department said officers arrested Tyler Boebert at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday “after a recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts in Rifle.”
He faces four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents targeting multiple victims, a single felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and more than 15 misdemeanor and petty offenses. Some of those misdemeanor charges include first-degree criminal trespass and at least three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Several misdemeanor charges also involve petty theft of less than $300.
Police are not commenting any further on the matter since an investigation into the robberies plaguing Rifle is still ongoing...........

A former Seaford children's pastor has been arrested on 10 felony charges after admitting to possessing and viewing child sexual abuse material, the Delaware Department of Justice said Friday.
James Dryden, 74, was charged last week following an investigation by the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes Delaware State Police and the state justice department. The investigation began in July 2022 after the task force received cyber tips that Dryden's IP address had accessed the material, court documents say.
After receiving the tips, law enforcement contacted Dryden at his home and seized his devices. A forensic examination of the items showed he had additional material, the justice department said.
According to the justice department, Dryden had been a children’s pastor at Stein Highway Church of God in Seaford for more than 20 years. In a Friday morning statement, Pastor Dan Southern defined Dryden as a "volunteer children’s worker."........

Documents reveal Abraham Lincoln pardoned Biden’s great-great-grandfather
By David J. Gerleman

Every new president selects personalized Oval Office decor to suit his tastes and pay homage to admired predecessors. President Biden’s Oval Office boasts both a portrait and a bust of Abraham Lincoln. But his family’s connection to the 16th president extends far beyond workplace ornamentation.
It dates to a late-night brawl during the Civil War.
On the evening of March 21, 1864, the quiet of a small corner of the Army of the Potomac’s sprawling winter camp along the Rappahannock River near Beverly Ford, Va., was disturbed when a fight broke out in one of the mess tents between Union Army civilian employees Moses J. Robinette and John J. Alexander.
The scuffle left Alexander bleeding from knife wounds, and Robinette was charged with attempted murder and incarcerated on a remote island near modern-day Florida. It would also cause an unexpected intersection in the histories of two American presidents, Lincoln and Biden — a story that has waited 160 years to be told.
Robinette, who received a pardon from Lincoln, was Biden’s great-great-grandfather.
Joseph Robinette Biden’s ancestral line has long been established and lists Moses J. Robinette among his paternal ancestors hailing from western Maryland, but very little has ever been chronicled about the man. Robinette’s court-martial records, discovered at the National Archives in Washington, show how the current president’s story is intertwined with that of the man who was president at the most perilous junction in U.S. history.
In 1861, Robinette was 42, married and running a hotel near the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad junction at Grafton, Va. Union sentiments ran high in Virginia’s mountainous western counties, which soon broke off to form the new state of West Virginia. As the nation lurched toward armed conflict that spring, smoldering resentments against Virginia’s politically dominant slaveholding elite flared into open defiance after northwestern delegates tried to block the secession movement and were expelled from the Virginia Convention.

Western Virginia became an early battleground as both sides fought to control the railroad. Union troops occupied Grafton in mid-June 1861 and drove Confederate forces out of the region within six months. The Robinette family suffered setbacks in the war’s early years: Moses’s wife, Jane, died, and his hotel was destroyed, allegedly by Union soldiers. Seeking safety for his youngest surviving children, Robinette appears to have left Virginia and returned to his extended family in Allegany County, Md.
Robinette was hired as a civilian veterinary surgeon by the U.S. Army Quartermaster’s Department in late 1862 or early 1863. He was assigned to the Army of the Potomac’s reserve artillery and tasked with keeping healthy the horses and mules that pulled the ammunition wagons. His qualifications for the position, as someone without formal medical training, were unstated, but such an appointment was not unusual in Civil War armies. Few veterinary colleges existed outside Europe in the 19th century, and Congress refused to authorize the creation of an official army veterinary corps until the First World War.
On that March evening near Beverly Ford, Alexander, a brigade wagon master, overheard Robinette saying something about him to the female cook and rushed into the mess shanty to demand an explanation. Tempers flared, expletives followed, and Robinette drew his pocketknife. A brief scuffle left Alexander bleeding from several cuts before camp watchmen arrived to arrest Robinette.
Nearly a month passed before Robinette’s military trial began. The charges specified that he had become intoxicated and incited “a dangerous quarrel,” violating good order and military discipline. Because a drawn weapon was involved, assault with “attempt to kill” was included among the charges.

Witnesses described Robinette as “full of fun, always lively and joking,” and testimony varied on whether either man had consumed alcohol before the fight broke out.
According to the trial transcript, Robinette stated in closing “that whatever I have done was done in self defence, that I had no malice towards Mr. Alexander before or since. He grabbed me and possibly might have injured me seriously had I not resorted to the means that I did.”

The military judges were not convinced. The next day, they rendered a unanimous verdict: guilty on all counts with the exception of “attempt to kill.” The punishment was two years’ incarceration at hard labor.
After his conviction, Robinette again had to wait nearly three months for his case to churn through the army’s bureaucratic channels. Occupied by active military operations, the commander of the Army of the Potomac, Gen. George G. Meade, did not confirm Robinette’s sentence until early July, when he was sent to the Dry Tortugas islands near Key West, Fla.
The islands were home to Fort Jefferson, a giant brick structure designed to protect the southern coast and Gulf of Mexico shipping lanes. The massive increase in U.S. forces needed to fight the Civil War correspondingly ballooned the number of military trials and convictions. When mainland prison space ran short, Fort Jefferson became a military prison, one described by Lincoln’s opponents as “American Siberia.” When Robinette disembarked there, the growing prison population numbered more than 700.
A portrait of President Abraham Lincoln on Jan. 8, 1864. (Library of Congress)
Around the time Robinette arrived on Dry Tortugas, three army officers who knew him petitioned Lincoln to overturn his conviction. John S. Burdett, David L. Smith and Samuel R. Steel wrote that Robinette’s sentence was unduly harsh for “defending himself and cutting with a Penknife a Teamster much his superior in strength and Size, all under the impulse of the excitement of the moment.”
They testified that Robinette had, from the outbreak of the war, been “ardent, and Influential … in opposing Traitors and their schemes to destroy the Government.”
The letter concluded with an emotional flourish: “Think of his motherless Daughters and sons at home! … [Praying for] your interposition in behalf of the unfortunate Father … and distressed family of loved Children, Union Daughters & Union Sons.”
The missive did not go straight to the White House, but first landed on the desk of Waitman T. Willey, a newly elected senator from the recently admitted state of West Virginia. He endorsed the plea, calling Robinette’s punishment “a hard sentence on the case as stated.” Lincoln’s private secretary, John G. Nicolay, promptly requested that the judge advocate general, Joseph Holt, send over a report and the trial transcripts for presidential review.
Holt’s report arrived in late August, and Lincoln made his decision, writing, “Pardon for unexecuted part of punishment. A. Lincoln. Sep. 1. 1864.” Shortly thereafter, the War Department issued Special Orders No. 296, freeing Robinette from prison.
After more than a month on sweltering Dry Tortugas, Robinette returned to his family in Maryland, where he took up farming again. He lived into the 20th century, dying at his daughter’s home in 1903. While his brief obituary eulogized him as a “man of education and gentlemanly attainments,” no mention was made of his wartime court-martial or his fleeting connection to Abraham Lincoln.
But the slender sheaf of 22 well-preserved pages of his trial transcript, unobtrusively squeezed among many hundreds of other routine court-martial cases in the National Archives, reveals the hidden link between the two men — and between two presidents across the centuries. Those few pages not only fill in an unknown piece of Biden family history, but also serve as a reminder of just how many Civil War stories have yet to be told.

People take parte in a march organized by citizen organizations demanding that electoral autonomy be respected in the upcoming general elections in downtown Mexico City, Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024.

MEXICO CITY — Tens of thousands of demonstrators cloaked in pink marched through cities in Mexico and abroad on Sunday in what they called a "march for democracy" targeting the country's ruling party in advance of the country's June 2 elections.
The demonstrations called by Mexico's opposition parties advocated for free and fair elections in the Latin American nation and railed against corruption the same day presidential front-runner Claudia Sheinbaum registered as a candidate for ruling party Morena. Approximately 90,000 people turned out to rail against the leader, according to government figures.
Sheinbaum is largely seen as a continuation candidate of Mexico's popular populist leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador. He's adored by many voters who say he bucked the country's elite parties from power in 2018 and represents the working class.
LATIN AMERICA
Mexican president proposes sweeping reforms increasing pensions, minimum wage
But the 70-year-old president has also been accused of making moves that endanger the country's democracy. Last year, the leader slashed funding for the country's electoral agency, the National Electoral Institute, and weakened oversight of campaign spending, something INE's head said could "wind up poisoning democracy itself." The agency's color, pink, has been used as a symbol by demonstrators.
López Obrador has also attacked journalists in hours-long press briefings, has frequently attacked Mexico's judiciary and claimed judges are part of a conservative conspiracy against his administration.
In Mexico City on Sunday, thousands of people dressed in pink flocked to the the city's main plaza roaring "get López out." Others carried signs reading "the power of the people is greater than the people in power."
Gabriel Ozuna, 61, said she and her family came from Baja California state, and were participating in the march not just to support democratic institution, but also to protest attacks on candidates by drug cartels, especially in local elections.
"We know our democracy is in danger. What we want to do is defend it and keep defending it," Ozuna said.
LATIN AMERICA
In Mexico, immigration to the U.S. is a political issue
Among the opposition organizations marching were National Civic Front, Yes for Mexico, Citizen Power, Civil Society Mexico, UNE Mexico and United for Mexico.
"Democracy doesn't solve lack of water, it doesn't solve hunger, it doesn't solve a lot of things. But without democracy you can't solve anything," said Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, a prominent politician from the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, in a video posted to social media calling for people to join the protests.
The PRI held uninterrupted power in Mexico for more than 70 years.
Marches were organized in a hundred cities across the country, and in other cities in the United States and Spain.
Still, the president remains highly popular and opinion polls indicate his ally Sheinbaum appears set to coast easily into the presidency.
López Obrador repeatedly dismissed the protests, telling reporters Friday that his critics don't care about democracy and are organizing the march to return the corrupt to power.
Following the massive demonstration, the leader continued to rail on critics, and said there would be no electoral fraud in the election and that he had not intervened in democratic processes.
"It's their democracy ... the democracy of the corrupt. What we want is there to be democracy of the people. We don't want power without the people. They're the one's that establish an anti-democracy with electoral fraud," López Obrador.

All payed people and organized beforehand distributing those signs, so having equal or more booing impromptu than paid cheers is definitely telling and a good sign.

A bedtime story for your kids and MAGA
relatives…
Once upon a time, there were two businessmen, Don and Bob.
Both had roughly the same amount of stuff. They both wanted loans to get more stuff and grow their businesses.
Bob went to the bank for a loan. He told them how much stuff he had. The bank said they couldn’t loan Bob all the money he wanted coz he didn’t have enough stuff as collateral. Bob was sad and had to give up his dream of growing his business.
Don, on the other hand, went to the bank and exaggerated how much stuff he had. By a lot. Don was a slick talker and had false paperwork to show he had a lot more stuff than he really did. The bank felt more comfortable giving Don the loan, coz they believed he had enough stuff to offer as collateral. Don ended up getting more stuff and living large.
Who is the victim?
Not the bank. One could argue should’ve done their homework on slick-talking Don.
It’s Bob.
It’s the thousands of Bobs who follow the rules and don’t lie and cheat their way into a better life.
Who protects people like Bob?
Who makes sure the rules are fair for all?
The Southern District of New fucking York, that’s who.
The End.

Some differences in media about that. The headline on Raw Story read; Trump 'booed off the stage' while promoting his golden sneakers: reports
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-booed-off-stage-sneakers/ Might be a video out there, but I haven't see any video yet of him actually being booed off stage. Short clip of some booing going on, but that's it. Raw Story rates far, but not extreme left and down to "opinion or analysis with wide variation of reliability".
The Hill states; "During his appearance in Philadelphia, Trump spoke to a largely cheering crowd while some boos could be heard in between."
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4474892-trump-unveils-400-never-surrender-sneakers-at-phillys-sneaker-con/
The Hill rates pretty much center, I would say a little leaning right, but https://adfontesmedia.com/ states a little left, and they rate The HIll; Mix of Fact Reporting and Analysis or Simple Fact Reporting
NBC News and CNBC websites both states He was met with a mostly enthusiastic crowd, though some occasional boos permeated through the cheers. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/trump-launches-sneaker-line-rcna139334 . The both rate questionably a little left with both being in the same category as The Hill; Mix of Fact Reporting and Analysis or Simple Fact Reporting.
Some like CNN didn't state anything either way about the reception of the crowd and others like NPR, USA today, and USnews didn't bother to cover it all, or any article was buried deep away from front news stories.
It was probably somewhere in between the two sides. We know for sure trump pays many people to cheer, act as union members, etc, etc on a constant basis, many times most of his "crowd". So he definitely would have a cheering section in place before he went and there is always that cult group around somewhat, even though in this case of planned supposed "surprise", he might have had to pay more of the crowd to cheer than counting on his sheep being there in any mass at a sneaker party.
Also more than likely he'll use the $50 dollar tennis shoes selling for $400 as just another vehicle for political money laundering as he does with his nowhere fake truth site and other grifts he does. Most of his lemmings base won't buy at the quantity needed to support the money traitor trump needs to continue his criminal enterprise. Just one more on top of hundreds of scams that he does. Lying, scamming, and grifting is all he knows and by association it's all the republicans can do that supports him and his criminal activities
Trump knows all too well that getting elected is the only way he can stay out of jail and reap most of his only income, the political money. He will be broke and incarcerated if he doesn't continue or win the election.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton remains on track to be tried for felony fraud this spring after the presiding judge shot down his attempts to have the charges thrown out.
During a Friday court hearing in Houston, Harris County District Court Judge Andrea Beall rejected Paxton’s arguments that his right to a speedy trial had been violated.
Beall’s decision means that, barring another unexpected delay, Paxton’s securities fraud trial will kick off on April 15. The proceedings are much anticipated; the attorney has been under active indictment for nearly nine years. He has pleaded not guilty.
Special prosecutor Brian Wice applauded Beall’s decision and said Paxton was the reason these cases have not yet gone to trial.
“We think that the general’s fingerprints, footprints and DNA were all over the delays,” said Wice, a private criminal defense lawyer brought on to represent the state after the local district attorney recused himself..........more

Mmm. Expulsion from the house? We'll see what happens if all true. Extreme republicans are terrified of losing the house, but they have no morals, nor do their maga cult, but they are kind of running out of projection/deflection power. I think a lot of people are getting wise to their shenanigans.

Had a feeling they might do that. Fani Willis had a pat hand, no need to draw more cards, have the criminals bring on their next witness not allowing any Jerry Springer act cross.
! The state's attorneys opted against questioning Fani Willis themselves, so she's off the stand.
