I believe what they're saying to be true.
But I know the Iranian government isn't being very cordial (nor open) with IAEA either.
They've never been cordial nor open, come to think of it, with them period.
Ordinary
I doubt it.
If they do, then it's likely they're in possession of a few defunct Soviet era Scuds.

"....Israel to shut down Dimona nuclear reactor should war break out .."
Israel (who is strongly suspected of possessing nuclear warheads..or even atomic bombs) will no doubt use nukes on Iran...if they feel that Iran will use them first against Israel.
As a matter of fact I do think Israel will strike first (using conventional means)....and they do think Iran is aggressively pursuing their own nuclear weapon...but I digress.
"...I don't believe Iran, Israel would ever do such a thing .. I worry about Pakistan more.. all though it sure doesn't keep me up at night as we are powerless over all this"
Make no mistake about it, if both nations possess nuclear/atomic WMD's, then both Iran and Israel will not hesitate to use nukes if they have to
Ditto for Pakistan. They're more of a regional threat though, IMO, than Iran is (thanks to an ancient, on-going border dispute with another nuclear power India--and the fact Pakistan has already demonstrated they possess nuclear tipped missiles).
Ordinary
I do think the Air Force has kinetic weapons at its disposal to do the job without refitting B-61 bombs as make-shift RNEP's.
The Air Force has such weapons in inventory. We all know the Army does (via it's stockpile of depleted uranium rounds).
In any event, I'm hoping it doesn't come down to combat period...but again if it does, I'm thinking the Obama Administration will be using a conventional solution to the problem, rather than a nuclear one....
Ordinary
Iran does not possess their own GPS based network of satellites. They may have access to another country's GPS network (Russia? Or perhaps our system via hacking?)...but they do not have one of their own...let alone a battery/squadron/wing of GPS guided, nuclear tipped ICBM's and/or MRBM's.
Ordinary
Yes they do. Whether or not their Shahab-3 missiles are nuclear capable is another story.
And I'm not entire sure if they're operation either.
Most of their rocket forces, Stephanie, are limited to short range surface to surface/surface to air missiles. If they have active squadrons sporting MRBM's, they're likely to be few and far between.....
Ordinary
The missiles at Iran's disposal are of intermediate range. The maximum range of the Shahab-3 rockets is 1200 miles.
From what I understand Iran is working on a two-stage rocket, the Sejjil....of which has the range to hit targets in Israel, Turkey, etc. But I'm not sure if they're operational yet.

"....It's my understanding That's the IAEA talking there ..."
It's also my understanding that Iran isn't fully cooperating with the IAEA either.

"....and now if there's a strike it will very likely have to involve nuclear bunker-busters at that location anyway, probably a succession of them"
While that's a possibility, it's highly unlikely that we'll use those types of weapons on suspected Iranian nuclear facilities (or any suspected "enemy" facility on planet Earth, for that matter).
There are other bombs at our disposal that we could use instead...some of which contain inert cores. Such munitions are very dense and can penetrate bunkers deep underground with the same amount of force as a weapon with an active explosive.
Anyway, I seriously doubt the Obama Administration will use nuclear weapons on suspected Iranian facilities. The negative political ramifications would be too great, ditto for the environmental/social ramifications.
FYI, using nuclear weapons against Iran would enable them to rigorously develop a nuclear bomb in return....giving them the option to use it against American (and Israeli) targets.
Ordinary
Yeah.....unfortunately there are still a few people in high places that still think this way.....

An Ordinarydude who would never get in the car with David...um...driving the car...in the passenger seat....ugh...
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that song.
As mentioned, it was a song that I remembered from way back when...and it was played unexpectedly on a bus ride back from our epic football game.

"....After spending all this time with him i'll remember David Hasselhoff for the yeti Hoff crab .."
Strangely, I'll forever remember 1982 for this Paul Davis tune....a tune that would be played again 8 years later by my football coach (on our way back from winning THE game that would propell us into the playoffs). FYI, Coach Jackson always wore a "Member's Only" jacket....the same color and type that David's character wore in Knight Rider. LOL
....and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well F6.

He wasn't being funny.
And no, you're not funny either. You're quite annoying. Most of the time anyway....

Well your comments seem to ooze of racist trash when you talk about President Obama.
It's ok, eventually you'll get over yourself.
Ordinary
Why should I?
We all know Dubya was a dumbshit.
Even his Republican backers knew this fact.

Racism isn't a virtue.
Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise.

I'm confused. Is he mired up in all the things he's miring himself up with?

I can't stand the politicians.
Not that the politicians here in Texas are any better....

LOL
Ordinary
Agreed.
Ordinary
Meh.....
Ordinary
...I doubt it. They'll just continue to look for another Republican candidate.
Hopefully they'll find one that actually turns out to be a decent individual that truly represents their needs.
As opposed to the needs of the powerful few.....

I'm having a hard time finding something that is equivalent to Senator Kyl.
This "person" is lower than low. In fact he sets the bar of how low someone can go.
We need to find a name to describe this worthless sack of shit.

Yep.
Those bastards left a shit stain-of-a-reminder in every Texas history book for kiddies to read.
Ugh.

...sadly, I wasn't.
I hate the way some of my "fellow" Texans treat outsiders. Particularly those outsiders whose color of skin differs from my "fellow Texan "neighbors"...
But yes...many of them are very nice individuals. And they will give anyone the shirt of their backs. The rotten apples I speak of make up a small portion of the population...but these apples have a way of stinking up the entire place....if not the entire county....

I'm quite sure many of those trucks drive on any type of surface...regardless if it's a dirt road or a paved one.
It's not like most of those drivers have much of a choice, kozuh. Most roads in that part of the world happen to be unpaved; in fact most of those roads have been carved out by numerous caravans following ancient trade routes...some of which, as you pointed out correctly, were taken by Alexander the Great many years ago.

"...let's see how gracious texas can be .."
That depends on who you are talking to, Stephanie.
Some of my "neighbors" are totally devoid of grace. And dignity. And respect. And an education...among other things....
Remember, when you're attempting to communicate with some of my fellow Texans it's best to talk as if you too are a backwooded country yokel. Beer is a excellent communication tool..and if you possess a gun rack in your Dodge/Ford/Chevy pickup...then you'll quickly gain favor with my backward neighbors (you'll easily earn brownie points if you have either a "SECEDE TEXAS", "NOBAMA" and "GOD MADE AMERICA, NOT BLACK QUEERS" bumper sticker prominently displayed on your tailgate).
Remember it helps to slur your speech when talking. And talk slow....and dumb your statements down (many of these guys never finished junior high...I shit you NOT).
Following these guidelines will ensure a satisfactory experience in parts of rural Texas...and it will surely grant you the apology you definitely deserve! ;)
