Credit Suisse upbeat on U.S. coal stocks
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Credit Suisse is upbeat on U.S. coal stocks given that U.S. thermal coal contract prices are expected to be "meaningfully higher" in 2012 and 2013 and the trend has not been reflected in share prices, according to a report released Tuesday. It picked Peabody Energy Corp. , Consol Energy Inc. and Cloud Peak Energy as preferred stocks with all of them rated at outperform.
