Historical view of the Exedos
Josephus[edit]
In his Against Apion, the 1st-century AD historian Josephus Flavius debates the synchronism between the Biblical account of the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, and two Exodus-like events that the Egyptian historian Manetho apparently mentions. It is difficult to distinguish between what Manetho himself recounted, and how Josephus or Apion interpret him. Josephus identifies the Israelite Exodus with the first exodus mentioned by Manetho, when some 480,000 Hyksos "shepherd kings" (also referred to as just 'shepherds', as 'kings' and as 'captive shepherds' in his discussion of Manetho) left Egypt for Jerusalem.[11] The mention of "Hyksos" identifies this first exodus with the Hyksos period (16th century BC).
Josephus records the earliest account of the false but understandable etymology that the Greek phrase Hyksos stood for the Egyptian phrase Hekw Shasu meaning the Bedouin-like Shepherd Kings, which scholars have only recently shown means "rulers of foreign lands."[12]
Interesting views on Jesus
There is a question as to whether Jesus was always the eternal Son of God or that He became the Son of God only when He came to earth. This is technically called the "eternal generation of the Son."
Two issues are involved:
The relationship between the nature of the Father and the Son.
The relationship between the ways they carry out their respective roles as members of the Trinity.
The Father Handed Over All Things To Jesus
Matthew tells us that God the Father had all things handed over to Jesus.
All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him (Matthew 11:27).
Does this imply that Jesus had always been in a subordinate role to the Father as God the Son? Or does it mean that at a certain time Jesus willingly became subordinate to God the Father?
Did Jesus Become The Son?
Some Bible teacher's believe that Jesus became the Son of God at a certain time in history. There is an Old Testament passage that seems to teach that Jesus became the Son at some point in time.
I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son today I have become your Father" (Psalm 2:7).
There are four particular times that are suggested: His coming into the world; His baptism; His resurrection; His ascension.
Did He Become The Son At His Birth?
It is argued that Jesus became the Son of God when He became a human being. At the announcement of His birth the angel said to Mary.
The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35)
Did Jesus Become The Son At His Baptism?
Another view has Jesus becoming God' Son at His baptism. When He was baptized God the Father announced.
And behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased" (Matthew 3:17).
Was It At His Resurrection That Jesus Became The Son?
It is also held that Jesus became the Son of God at His resurrection.
Who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 1:4).
Did Jesus Become The Son At His Ascension?
A fourth view has Jesus becoming the Son of God at His ascension.
When he had made purification of sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they (Hebrews 1:3,4).
Did Jesus Become The Son Before He Came To Earth
A fifth view has Jesus as the Son of God before He came to earth – He was always the Son of God. Jesus has always been in a subordinate position as God the Son from all eternity. Although equal to the Father in nature, He has been submissive in His role.
Jesus Is The Eternal God
Jesus has been God from all eternity. Since all three persons are equally and fully God they have existed from all eternity.
So now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had in your presence before the world existed. Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world (John 17:5, 24).
Since God is also unchanging than God has always existed as a Trinity.
Jesus Took The Role Of A Subordinate
The best evidence from Scripture seems to be that Jesus was the eternal Son of God, always in a subordinate role to the Father. However, this subordinate role says nothing about His character for He is equal to the Father in substance.
Jesus Had A Role In Creation
For example, God the Father spoke, the words that brought the universe into existence while God the Son was the agent who brought them to pass. The Bible says of Jesus.
All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being (John 1:3).
This Is Not The Same As Subordinationism
Saying that the Son was eternally subordinate to the Father is not the same as the heresy known as Subordinationism. This false doctrine says the Son was an inferior being to the Father. Though He was the eternal uncreated Son He was still not equal to the Father in His being or attributes. The early church father Origen held to a form of Subordinationism. When the doctrine of the Trinity was clearly formulated at the council of Nicea, this heresy along with others was rejected.
Therefore the Son was equal in being but subordinate in His role. We know that when He returns He will give all things back to the Father and submit Himself to the Father.
When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the one who put all things in subjection under him, so that God may be all in all (1 Corinthians 15:28).
Summary
There has been a debate in the church as to whether Jesus was the eternal Son of God or that he became the Son of God when he came to the earth. The issue is not his nature for Jesus always has been the eternal God. The question is when did he assume a submissive role with God the Father.
Those who advocate Jesus became the Son of God do not all agree as exactly when this happened. Arguments have been made for his birth, baptism, resurrection and ascension. Some argue that it was sometime before he came to earth. The Scriptures, however, seem to teach that Jesus has always been in a subordinate role to God the Father while still being equal in character. While Jesus character is equal to God the Father his role is one of subordination.

Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman
4 Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— 2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. 3 So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
4 Now he had to go through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

The Disciples Rejoin Jesus
27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?”
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

Many Samaritans Believe
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers.
42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
Jesus Heals an Official’s Son
43 After the two days he left for Galilee. 44 (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) 45 When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, for they also had been there.
46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”
49 The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”
The man took Jesus at his word and departed. 51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.”
53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.
54 This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.

Epistle to the Hebrews, or “Letter to the Hebrews” is the traditional name of a text that the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament simply call “To the Hebrews” (???S ???????S)[1].
Scholars of Greek consider its writing to be more polished and eloquent than any other book of the New Testament. Since the earliest days of the Church, the authorship and canonicity have been debated. Presumably once known and respected by the epistle's readers, the author became unknown and today is often described as unknowable. The book has earned the reputation of being a "masterpiece".[2] It also has been described as an "intricate" New Testament book.[3]
Scholars believe Hebrews was written for a mixed audience of Jewish and Gentile Christians who lived in Rome or perhaps Jerusalem.[2] Its purpose was to exhort Christians to persevere in the face of persecution. The central theme of the epistle is the doctrine of the Person of Christ and his role as mediator between God and humanity. The writer of the Letter to the Hebrews was committed to the spiritual well-being of its recipients.
The epistle opens with an exaltation of Jesus as "the radiance of God's glory, the express image of his being, and upholding all things by his powerful word". [1:1-3] The epistle presents Jesus with the titles "pioneer" or "forerunner", "Son" and "Son of God", "priest" and "high priest".[4]
The epistle casts Jesus as both exalted Son and high priest, a unique dual Christology.[5] Scholars argue over where Hebrews fits in the 1st century world. Despite numerous publications on this epistle, scholarly discussion has failed to yield a definitive consensus on most issues. One author says conclusions on most questions, including the one concerning authorship, should be avoided.[6]
Although traditionally called the "Letter to the Hebrews", its author refers to it as a "word of exhortation", [13:22] using the same term used in Acts 13:15 to describe a sermon.

Washington: A controversial Fox News host has sparked anger for saying that there was ‘some indication’ that ‘Jesus may have been gay’.
Don Imus made the comment on his show earlier this week during a telephone interview with political analyst Kirsten Powers.
According to the Pink News website, Imus referred to a third-century religious text known as the ‘Gospel of Judas Iscariot’ and claimed it provided evidence that Jesus was a homosexual.
He said that ‘there were hundreds of gospels written, only four made it into the [Bible]. There was the Gospel of Thomas, Mary had a gospel, they all had a gospel. But Judas — there’s some indication there that Jesus may have been gay.”
Powers went on to attack Imus’s claims as ‘ridiculous’, the Independent reports.
The incident is not the first time Imus has been involved in controversy.
In 2007, the host came under fire after referring to the Rutgers University women's basketball team, which at the time was comprised of eight African-American and two white players, as ‘nappy-headed hoes’.
Imus subsequently apologised for his statement after first defending it as ‘some idiot comment meant to be amusing’.
The Gospel of Judas, which was written by Gnostics, contradicts the Bible in a number of ways.
Crucially it contains the claim, contrary to the canonical gospels, that Judas' betrayal was done in obedience to instructions given to him by Christ, the report added.

That's one way to look at. However, I feel Man and God are separate beings.
It's a Security Blanket.... No doubt. However, belief in a higher power is not a bad thing.
I blame the Florida Gov for allowing such a law to be passed. If you pass a law then are horrified people follow it....what kinda law is that?
