All Lebby needs to do is fulfill the expectations he and you have set for shareholders. That’s it.
A working pluggable transceiver, an agreement with a tier1:
pick one.
Be careful with your pejoratives Proto. You have been misrepresenting the progress and reality of this company for years.
You are not in a position to call others scum bags, liars and cheats.
Your constant hyperbole and overestimates of this company must be held to the same standard,
Remember, Dr. Lebby is brilliant. He knows what you’ll do with this.
Lebby put the slide in the deck. Does mean it’s real?
Lebby’s lack of transparency makes this impossible to know. What is their major obstacle. Shareholders should know.
“It already works, . . . “. I want this to be true, however, there are “other concerns”. What those concerns are, is anyone’s guess.
Oh no Boomer! A fate no one should endure. I’m so sorry for you- Ignored by Scopey McScopeface.
You’re one of the last posters Scope pays any attention to. OMG, what will you do??
You’re reading the headline. There is nothing of substance in what follows.
Please educate yourself on the Safe Harbor statement. It’s highly revelatory.
From the recent PR: “ . . diligently pursue commercial material supply licensing agreements in 2024 and expects the cadence to grow in 2025 and beyond.
This 100% pure, unadulterated forward looking blather. This is saying nothing about an agreement in process. Not even close. And they are now extending the timeline to 2025.
Sheesh.
WRONG! Diverse view points are critical in discerning truth. Lebby needs a truth detector.
I think we have to start calling it out vein. Investors here have been misled. There are issues that have not been disclosed that are in the way of imminent commercialization.
It is painful to acknowledge this. It has been a long brewing concern that has come to more explicit fruition.
I don’t need more than this: when Lebby was asked directly, if there was a request to produce a commercialized product today, could it be done? His response was; ‘I obviously cannot comment on that’.
What’s obvious about it?
The ground truth of this company’s, progress and real position toward commercialization, has been difficult to discern in the extreme.
It has not helped, at all, to have a group of “True Longs“ who have constantly beat the drum of “its time”, “it’s ready”, “it’s done” and Dr. Lebby is beyond reproach.
Accurate analysis. The “true longs” dismiss and name call you. You have been far more correct than any “true long”.
Your track record of accurately evaluating this company’s true progress as a commercial enterprise has been spot on.
It speaks for itself.
You can not just dismiss Lebby’s remark. It is highly significant that we know something about these ‘other issues’.
I don’t believe we know what their true technological hurdles are.
When Kevin asked Lebby about polling, Lebby was specific that polling did not concern them internally, however, they had OTHER ISSUES that concern them. Are these minor issues, are they major issues? We have been in the dark and we remain in the dark.
Kevin, nor anyone else followed up on that remark. So, we really don’t know what the “other issues“ are. Can they actually mass produce? Are they ready for commercialization?
I’m actually at my cottage on the east shore of Lake Michigan.
It’s raining here at the moment. But yeah you make a helluva point.
Yeah, this is a logical observation. Hard to shake the hope that there is a semblance of a diamond in there somewhere.
Is Lebby actually going around conferences and cavorting with foundries just to deceive the shareholders?
That seems diabolical.
He’s been misleading, undeniably, but diabolical in his deceptiveness?
Yes Ruud, this board has had plenty of those predictions. We had a run to $20 on predictions based on a non-reality.
Not long ago, someone predicted there was an 80% chance Nvidia would be doing a joint announcement with Lightwave logic.
There is a storied history of wild and verifiable predictions, as part of the record, which all have been repeatedly and completely false.
Reminding some of the folks that make these predictions, of their wrongness, is an exercise in futility and self-harm.
So, as a communications expert, which I am not, you would identify this as an ambiguous statement. That’s why I said Lebby doesn’t lie, but he does mislead.
Many, if not most posters here will focus on Lebby said there will be important statistics released, however what Lebby actually said was; ‘there will probably be important statistics released”.
We really need you to point out these differences and ambiguity since they are important when it gets to what was actually stated .
Ruud - to be clear, Lebby said; ‘probably’.
Again, imprecise communication with a huge door left open for not delivering statistics. It’s been like this for several years.
“There’s other things we’re more concerned about”.
- Micheal Lebby
The context of the statement is regarding Kevin‘s question about polling. Lebby said polling is not an issue for them internally, the outside folks think it is, however to them, it is not. Great.
However, he did follow that with the above quote. Did anyone ask what the “other things“ are?
This would be very important to know I would think?
Great to hear that you are a communication specialist. Please continue to inform us on how you hear and see Lebby‘s statements.
Lebby has an interesting problem in that he needs to and has historically kept shareholders engaged and staying with the story for many years and without revenue.
I am of the mind that he has led the industry, the investment community and others to believe that they (Lightwave) have accomplished a significant technological feat ready for production. However, this has been the story for the three or four years that I have invested in this company. Inform us when you see things that are ambiguous or potentially questionable. I have found it quite difficult to get any sense of what the actual narrative is in truth.
Lebby‘s communication have left many here believing for several years now, that we are ready for revenue.
“6) Lebby again pounded the table on the "ease of Integration" and how you simply drop the LWLG technology into those little pluggable boxes!! “
This sounds great. I hope it is 100% the case. Someone here mentioned that “coupling” is the holy Grail in this technology. Do we know anything about coupling?
Not trying to bring up another technological hurdle other than this is complex stuff and there are things at many angles that have to be solved.
We seem to have members of this board, who see themselves as “defenders of the faith“. This group has been very difficult to have a rational conversation with.
They name-call, they dismiss, ignore, and generally do not engage in what I would call critical thinking about the narrative of Lightwave logic.
I am not certain that he is. And I refrain from using the word ‘lie’. I believe he’s been misleading. If you carefully parse what Lebby has said and done, it would hold up in a court of law. However, for the average retail investor, who is not skeptical or “critical thinking“, it could feel like a lie.
Getting the “true longs” to understand, and discern the difference between a forward looking statement by a CEO of a company who wants to keep the shareholders engaged, and actual live, ground truth has been a nigh impossible task.
While I don’t necessarily agree with everything, tedpeele posts, he has pointed out inconsistencies, alternative interpretations, and some sleight-of-hand. He’s not been all together wrong.
“ . . having wafers and collaboration with a specialty foundry, and also the ability to do live trials with datacenters”.
If this is precisely the current ground truth of the company’s progress, I would agreed that things are shaping toward a production trial and revenue event.
Lebby’s credibility is unfortunately, flagging with some, me included.
I’m still long with all my shares. Skeptical yes, derisive at times, but hold out that something may still develop to confirm the story of LWLG EOP commercialization.
Excellent point EM. There is now currently at least one “true long” who is hanging hopes on Lebby saying at last weeks ASM, “2024 isn’t over yet”.
The gullible, smooth brained folk here just will not, can not comprehend Lebby has been misleading and continues to be misleading.
“ . . and we’re doing a lot of very high speed design now because we’re working at really high speeds and that requires a lot of RF design”.
I had not thought of it previously, however, the RF design piece is not trivial. With no prior art, and the high-speeds these are operating at, requires significant engineering.
Please do. I have not had the chance to see or hear the Grand Poobah speak of things to come.
BTW. Did any of the directors present their Director Initiated Commercialization Kit?
Great analogy. Sad, but a perfect fit.
Laughing and cursing this one.
OK, famous president once said; “Trust with verification”.
There is a contingent here that deeply wants to believe. Can’t conceive that there could be some misleading or sleight-of-hand involved in the story. It’s quite a remarkable study on Human behavior actually.
They are more than willing to “excommunicate”, ignore, name call, insult and generally isolate anyone who challenges this.
My credibility here has long been erased by most. It is of slightest concern to me.
Their conversation is incredibly important to gaining some idea of what is actually happening. A healthy debate is of high value. Some of us are jurors in this court to find the truth.
I have been a complete advocate of tedpeele, his observations and insight.
Proto obsessively copy’s, pastes and quotes Lebby’s forward looking statements as though they are real statements of ground truth about the company. Which, they are not and Lebby has proven to be misleading.
And, Proto, adds value to the conversation. He has an archive of company history. He has certain insight into the industry. I would not invest on his predictions, but his perspective is as valid as tedpeele’s.
Bashing and hype aside. I have been pushing, advocating, mocking and cajoling to have a rational discussion on this board.
I said tedpeele has a legitimate perspective. I don’t necessarily agree with everything that is posted, but respect the perspective.
I said the “true longs” here are deep in Lebby’s ‘forward looking statements.
I said the ‘organic up listing’ made things appear more on track than they actually are.
I said Lebby is still stating they are working on PDKs.
I said Proto is over-stating the reality.
I have been put on ignore, framed as irrational, and called a ‘short’.
This has made it incredibly difficult to have a real conversation about the ground reality of this company.
It time we do.
“diced chips” - I just like the sound of it. Diced chips - ahhhh yes,
“Tom Zelibor believes in aliens. He wouldn’t tell me that he was exposed to NHI during his tenure though. “
Funny enough, I don’t consider my a conspiratorialist, however, I believe it is completely rational to believe in NHI.
