By the way, I am not yelling "SCAM!", I am just, well, um, er, trying to find some humor in all of this.....
Plot summary for
The Producers (2005)
advertisement New York, 1959. Max Bialystock was once the king of Broadway, but now all his shows close on opening night. Things turn around when he's visited by the neurotic accountant Leo Bloom, who proposes a scheme tailor-made for producers who can only make flops: raise far more money than you need, then make sure the show is despised. No one will be interested in it, so you can pocket the surplus. To this end, they produce a musical called Springtime for Hitler written by escaped Nazi Franz Liebken. Then they get the insanely flamboyant Roger De Bris to direct. Finally, they hire as a lead actress the loopy Swedish bombshell Ulla (whose last name has over 15 syllables). As opening night draws near, what can go wrong? Well, there's no accounting for taste... Written by rmlohner

Anyone ever seen "The Producers" musical?
I remember seeing Bull Run ads and commercials exactly 1 month (4 weeks) before the first episode...
Waverunner,
As you said you are a "Professional Jet Ski Racer". How is it that you know so much about production, production schedules, and the way television and programming work? Obviously, you have not mentioned that "someone told you" all of the things you post, you must have some experience.
myspace is your friend.
The reason I posted that video was just to lighten up the mood a little. I ar not releteed to nun of thos perple.
Secret spy video of Reality Racing production

This has Skip Fredricks Production written all over it..
You must watch the whole thing.
:)
(Hope this lightens up the mood a bit)
It helps if the drive can actually FIT in the vehicle. These "mini-cup" cars were designed as starters for KIDS, not adults, however, some smaller-framed adults found them fun and started a series. I suspect that the chosen contestants at least have a drivers license and have some experience in full size automobile that would probably out run those gocarts, an in comfort, too. I just see it as not being fair to those of larger stature. Shark, can you at least tell us if you even fit or what?
Totally Agree.
I think I can see the progression track, thanks to this video:

Mini-cup
Baby Grand
ARCA
looks like much is in store...
If these are the cars they use in the first episodes, it could be more fun than watching go-cart racing:

Looks like they are the "mini cup car", and it looks like they might be pretty quick, so really, who knows what's in store...?
For those who doubt it can be done, look what a 2 minute google search pulled up:

I have a vested interest in this company, much like all of you...
Let me make a couple of thing perfectly clear:
#1 - I have no doubt that this show will at least air the first two episodes; "The Challenge Begins" and "Three men and a little lady"
#2 - I STILL do not trust this company as the only thing they have proven is that they are capable of changing their mind like the weather, for example:
a. there has never been any mention of a "progressive driving education level" involving kiddie carts. SURPRISE! That is going to be the most thrilling thing to ever be seen, can't imagine how many will tune in to watch, if the first five episodes are like that
b. It has ALWAYS been stated, even in the promos on the website, PR's, etc that there were 16 contestants, now it appears there are 32
c. Promotions throwing around Bobby, Donnie, Cale, and Junior really tried to turn the volume up on this one, and now they will not be seen until what the 10th episode out of 13? Gimme a break!
d. New hostess with no warning? Did destiny miss out on some other contract opportunities and offers because the filming was delayed 5 months without ANY prior notification? Maybe that is why she no longer has any references to RRGI on her myspace page and such...
Guess we just have to see this one through, but it looks like a reality racing version of what "The Producers" were TRYING to accomplish...
I do admit, I like how Lee tries to dress up his image in the promo clips...must have taken everyones "Car Salesman" comments to heart.
By the way, Flatsixer, I thought the clips were "excellent" in their production quality, also...ROFLMAO!!!!!
The show will air, just don't know how much interest kiddie cart racing will produce.....
Am I the only one to notice that the "contestants" had their pics taken in and around full size race cars, yet they appear to be getting into the go-cart, baby version? Guess you gotta crawl before you walk, but geez:

That could be a problem for heavier drivers that are actually better, but great for a terrible driver that is small...Looks like we won't be seeing any real action in the cars for a while, that is if the pilot is picked up after the 19th...
You should see spike tv's site now...you can actually click on the 19th and they now have a description to go with the show. Apparently and appropriately titled "The Challenge Begins"
I must say that Cake's "going the distance" fits the bill nicely.
Another useless tidbit for you weekend fodder:
An acquantence of mine lives near Destiny Rael's parents. It has been said, publicly, that Ms. Rael is not in Florida, but in LA...apparently working on that music that she keeps promising on her myspace page...since last year.
There appears to be a new chick in town...
Courtney Hansen of PowerblockTV maybe?.....That would be REALLY big for the show...IMHO
Have a great weekend folks...
A few days ago someone posted PART of this information, but left out some key facts. I am ONLY posting this because the original poster left out part of the facts. Particular attention should be paid to the first paragraph:

...or they may be trying to weed out those with experience to find a real "Rookie". IMHO
I certainly must say that "congratulations" are in order for those of you who stuck it out and made a dime or two. The stock sure had a nice surge, and for your sake, I hope it continues. No, really, I do. :)
Guess all of the FL contestants are either done or in the middle of round one, eh? Shark must have been part of the first group, more than likely so that folks playing the money game would get to see him on Spike first, get excited, spend more money. Let's hope RRGI uses some of those funds to bring in the "out-of-towners", because word on the street is they now have to find their own way there...that could be a bummer for some, but if they want it bad enough, they will scrape by, I am sure. Just not a good move for the company in my opinion.
And remember, it is all my opinion.
Yes, if you must ask, crow does taste nasty and in the future, I will refrain from any negative comments that lack any substance or proof for me to back it up. I still stand by my original "cause" however, and that is I really do not like the way the contestants (excluding Sharkmph) have been treated.
May your good fortune continue...
Did you actually go back and read EVERY post I made? I do not think you did, or you would not feel that way. There are some honest people being taken advantage of, and I want to ensure that this is not the case. However, after refreshing myself of the TOU, I will only post relative information and I will not allow myself to be dragged into flame wars with those who just cannot seem to help themselves. In other words, my feelings aside, I promise to be good.
I can't seem to post on the Jail message board, so I am just trying anything at this point....
I would really like to be "un-banned" please.
Can you help a brother out here and let me back on...Please?
There are no new PR's this a.m. - care to inform us as to what you found?
Double Post....whoops..
Flatsixer,
I am in the cheap seats, so I cannot respond to your message, but don't worry, I was ahead of you and now have a VERY nice collection. :)
So are the contestants...
"I have no life."
Probably the smartest thing you have figured out.
They are only going to show up in batches that can sell, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 and the like. Looks like plenty of volume for the month to acoomodate those sales. Talk about dumping....
The first two episodes are supposed to be "Auditions". In "reality" they are nothing more than a way to buy more time for RRGI to dump shares...
If you think for one second that a "pure rookie" (as these contestants are "supposed" to be) is going to get in, drive at a competetive pace, then race - without a crash - after a few days of instruction...then you have never been around racing much. It is inevitible with the amount of time they have planned for all of this, there will be crashes, and they should be prepared for that.
...and my point - the first episodes need to "WOW", not bore. American Idol - the early episodes - had MINIMAL audition footage, usually mixed in with/during/after a particular contestants performance. It was the contestants performances that gathered the fan base, not the auditions. The auditions only make the anticipation OF AN ALREADY ESTABLISHED SHOW greater. This will fail for RRGI.
American Idol has a fan base to bank on. American idol can afford to "waste" a couple of episodes on that footage because it has LOADS OF CASH. If you remember the first episodes, they did not show NEARLY as much, if any "Audition Footage". They do it now because they have a secure, dedicated fan base, something that RRGI DOES NOT. I woul dbe willing to bet that the stock does not go up by a nickel in the next two weeks, in fact, two weeks from now it will be the same or lower as it's current price.
You must be kidding. Two episodes out of 13 for "contestant search footage" what a crock. This is just another way for them to buy time and gather more cash. If this show does not take off on the first episode - by that I mean showing some REAL action, it will most certainly tank. Really, how can they expect someone (besides PlumpPuppy) to watch crap for an hour? People want the goods, not the waste product. Shark, if you are a contestant, are you really that naive to go along with all of this? How do you plan for anything at the rate they are dictating your schedule? Any other contestants on here, what about you?
looks like the hosty-host is in Romania until mid april....maybe scouting another racetrack? Or Maybe RRGI is going International!
Looks like they are not going to make it this season...again.
Finally, someone else is actually reading all of the sentences and realizing the "jet-puffed" nature of this fluffy banter. They are wordsmithing everything is such a way as to get away scot free withthout a reprimand.
post something with substance, chubbyP.
"That's up to RRGI. - and trust me, they are being advised on exactly what to do and when to do it."
I guess you would know since you are involved in the show, huh, Glen? I am not sure your participation here is legal, so you might want to be careful what you say.
