Skeena - looking at your RB post about your chat today and the post here on IH, can I assume that the call came after you IH post? Just curious.
Best,
Al
I will be adding yes...
I have some spare cash heading my way this week in fact.
Al
Well as you can see I have no timeframe or any sort of assurance at all. The last thing I want is a pump.
But hopefully news will come with this in the near-term.
Best,
Al
I ain't picky.... lol
An outside source that watches this company seems to think that things are developing.
Now that and and buck will get you a cup of coffee, but if there is news like this source is expecting then you might choke on that coffee .... just sharing a hint that was given to me. (All outside the company)
Best,
Al
Don't ask me anything about it, that is all I know.. very little to be sure. The source wants to remain unknown.... so be it.
Good Afternoon,
We are writing to update the community on a number of different
fronts. While other sites are dying and no longer innovating, we
are adding members by the droves and adding new features and
enhancements constantly. So I just wanted to take the time to
point out a few of these changes.
Infrastructure and Management:
+ Bob Zumbrunnen has joined the company as President and main
code monkey. He was formerly the Site Administrator at Silicon Investor
and has been featured in articles in the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones
Newswire, and many others. Matt Brown -- aka IH Admin (Matt) --
continues to be the site's Administrator.
+ Many might remember before the new year, we were constantly running
out of hardware and bandwidth mojo. Not a problem anymore. We are
sitting on some fire-breathers for equipment and a bandwidth pipe the size
of the Mississippi. Bring on the traffic, now, baby.
Site enhancements:
+ Real-time stats for Top Members Lists and Top Boards lists. No other
site offers anything close to this.
See them here: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/hot.asp
+ Many tweaks to the software to increase speed, reduce error pages, and
improve stability.
+ Several TOU updates to make the rules clearer and easier to follow
+ A full-text search engine to search the entire message archives.
Excellent tool for a variety of reasons.
+ A completely overhauled matrix for membership levels. You can still
join the site for FREE. While sites like Motley Fool and Silicon Investor
are charging *everybody* to post, we will continue to allow people to join
and post for free. There are currently two levels of memberships
-- Premium and FREE. Premium gives you full access to all boards and
advanced features, while FREE status allows you to read and post, but
with certain limitations -- like posting only to public company boards.
Lifetime subscriptions for $50 end on Feb 28th.
More info here: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/regUser.asp
I will keep this e-mail nice and brief, but we encourage you to visit the
site if you haven't been there in a long time. We've made numerous
improvements that you will immediately notice upong logging back in.
We also encourage you to invite a friend to join, as well.
http://www.investorshub.com
Fire up a board. Post a few messages. Have some fun.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the site,
Matt Brown and Bob Zumbrunnen
matt@investorshub.com - bobz@investorshub.com
I guess I should have said that I know what a CD is but I don't know why it is at the end of all his posts.
I guess I don't get it.
Al
Worldly .. I am a little slow sometimes what do you mean by..
S8 + CD = Dilution vs Polution & both come with Warrants!?
Do you mean ' pollution ' ?
What does the ' CD ' stand for?
I do know what an S8 is ... and warrants - but the phrase altogether I can't decypher.
Best,
Al
I am using http://www.changedetection.com/monitor.html
it tells me when pages are changed.
This way no surprises like the update to the ETCR stite.
Not sure why the update was not released as news. I should be talking to management next week - will see if I can get that clarified.
One thing I do know is that Frank did not intend for the stock promoters to be contacted. I think the spread of info was taken too far. The promoters all call the company wanting stock - this is a hassle that Frank does not need.
When news is released that will take the stock up all on it's own.
I don't know how many of you are going to subscribe to InvestorsHub but the price for a lifetime membership is going from $50 to $99 soon. There are some neat features here and a lot of good boards too. Raging Bull is getting to be too much of a pain for me - just not worth the hassle.
Last thing - I think that only 8 people have joined the mailing list for ETCR via InvestorsHub .. That list is kept by me and nobody else has access to the list. I would suggest joining the email list. You can do that by going to the ibox - the information about this board and going to the bottom of the window you will see something about joining a list ...
Later gators,
Al
Worldly sounds great .. email me and fill me in.
Thanks,
Al
Lets not discuss that here ... lets keep the 'soap opera' over on RB.
I think the ignore is a great feature. But again ... RB for those comments.
Al
Hello Ez,
Yes I would like to see things on a faster track too.
I have had very little contact with Frank but on the other hand I have not made much of an attempt to contact him. I have just been busy with a lot of non-stockmarket items.
Hopefully I can set aside some time and make a few calls to the the office and perhaps have a chat. But currently I am covered up.
I think you and I are on the same page. I am still long and will be for a good time to come. Until I hear that things are not going our way I will remain long. VPS is needed badly across this entire nation. I think Frank is doing what is required.
No doubt it does require patience.... a lot of it.
Best,
Al
How is everyone doing ?? It has been rather quiet lately.
Al
nexdude - I think your nose is in the right track .... or trail.
I think we will be hearing something within a week or two.
Best,
Al
Oh yes .... They called school off yesterday evening .. you should see how fast that info travels !! Instant Messenging, cell phones , Internet ...
NASA should look at there methods
Al
The corporate website being down is just a
Network Solutions/Verisign error that they are correcting.
Al
dont forget to go to the DD site
and go to the HungerSite etc ... there is a banner at the top.
http://www.archiveslimited.com
Oh yea and if you haven't been to the DD site ... do some DD !!
I think you mean a VERISIGN Company...
Best,

Key House Panel Investigates Oxycontin Abuse
Kentucky witnesses, invited by Rogers, provide compelling testimony
Tuesday, December 11, 2001
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Harold "Hal" Rogers (KY-5) says the widespread abuse of the prescription drug Oxycontin is the most serious drug abuse epidemic he has witnessed in his 20 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and his prior experience as a prosecutor. Rogers made the comments during a 6-hour hearing held today by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, State and Judiciary (CJSJ). Rogers questioned witnesses ranging from U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration chief Asa Hutchinson to local law enforcement and the Kentucky father of a recovering drug addict.
"This epidemic is the worst scourge that we’ve ever faced in my region," Rogers said today. "It has torn families apart, ruined lives, and stretched the resources of law enforcement and social service agencies to the absolute limit. In my 20 years of service here in the Congress, and in my years as a Commonwealth’s Attorney, I have never seen such a devastating effect created by one substance on our citizens. People are dying, our jails are running out of space, beds at treatment centers are scarce, and our communities are crying out for help."
Rogers aggressively questioned DEA administrator Asa Hutchinson on the U.S. Justice Department’s response to the epidemic and sharply questioned an executive from Purdue Pharma, the company that manufactures the pain remedy. Dr. Paul Goldenheim, the company’s executive vice president for research and development, defended the company’s aggressive marketing strategies which Rogers and other members of Congress believe has directly contributed to the nationwide epidemic. When Goldenheim told Rogers that his company was unable to regulate how its product is dispensed, Rogers sharply responded: "We can."
Rev. Donnie Coots, pastor of the Mason’s Creek Church of God in Hazard, told the panel of his personal experience as a father with a child who had abused Oxycontin and other drugs. In a dramatic moment, Coots invited his son, Joshua, to join him at the witness table. Rogers and his colleagues congratulated the Coots family for their willingness to tell their story in the public forum.
"In working with many different programs and people, I have found that the best way to address drug abuse problems is through faith-based centers," Coots said today. "These centers have outstanding success rates. Recovery rates of 90-percent and better are not uncommon. Give the faith-based centers a chance."
Rod Maggard, who currently serves as director of the Rural Law Enforcement Technology Training Center in Hazard, told the committee that rural and small town law enforcement does not have the human or technological resources to fight the epidemic. Maggard called for increased federal support for efforts to combat the growing problem: "Without the support from the federal government, we may win the battle but lose the war."
Rogers, a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, urged his colleagues to provide funding for coordinated law enforcement resources and prescription drug monitoring systems that are nationally compatible.
================================
This is good - U.S. Representative Harold "Hal" Rogers is a name
we all will come to be familiar with.
Best,
Al
EZTRADERZZ - sad but true, those that want to abuse will find a way even if it is huffing spray paint.
Hopefully keeping some of the easily abused drugs off the street might prevent new people from becoming addicts.
I am surprised that Purdue has not just bought VPS just so they could shelve it. Much like the idea of the auto companies shelving inventions that reduce gasoline consumption.
My guess is the price would be high and there might be stipulations saying that they would have to move forward with it... just my guess of course.
Best,
Al
Purdue will be able to keep Oxycontin on the market.
ETCR's VPS is needed more than ever.

Federal Judge in Kentucky Rejects Injunction on OxyContin
Ruling Protects Patient Access to Appropriate Pain Medications
LONDON, Ky., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Judge Jennifer B. Coffman of the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky in an order dated December 27, 2001 denied plaintiffs' motion in Foister, et al. v. Purdue Pharma L.P., et al. that sought to impose a variety of restrictions on access to OxyContin(R) (oxycodone HCL controlled-release) Tablets, even by legitimate pain patients with valid physician prescriptions. In denying plaintiffs' motion in its entirety, Judge Coffman also rejected plaintiffs' efforts to restrict how the medication is marketed in Kentucky.
The plaintiffs in Foister claim to represent a proposed class of persons allegedly harmed by OxyContin after developing an addiction to it when it was prescribed to them by a physician for pain relief.
Following an evidentiary hearing, during which Judge Coffman took testimony under oath from plaintiffs' witnesses, the Court, in a 14-page order and decision, denied both a preliminary injunction and a temporary restraining order, finding that plaintiffs lacked standing and failed to show a likelihood of irreparable harm. Judge Coffman said:
"The plaintiffs have failed to produce any evidence showing that the
defendants' marketing, promotional, or distribution practices have ever
caused even one tablet of OxyContin to be inappropriately prescribed or
diverted."
"We are extremely pleased with Judge Coffman's ruling rejecting an attempt by plaintiffs' lawyers to hinder legitimate patients in pain in Kentucky from receiving proper medication. OxyContin has helped thousands of Kentuckians in pain to have a better quality of life," said Dr. Paul Goldenheim, Executive Vice President, Worldwide R&D and senior physician at Purdue Pharma L.P., the Stamford, Connecticut based manufacturer of OxyContin.
Howard R. Udell, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Purdue Pharma noted that this was the first test in a series of so called class actions brought by people who claim that they have been damaged as a result of their use or misuse of OxyContin tablets.
"Purdue will challenge each of these baseless lawsuits and we are confident that this will be the first of many similar decisions. We believe that when judges consider the law and the facts, as contrasted with the claims of plaintiffs' lawyers looking to profit from these groundless lawsuits, they will conclude that the facts just don't support the claims," said Udell.
Purdue Pharma L.P., headquartered in Stamford, Conn., is a privately-held pharmaceutical company engaged in the research, development, production, sales and marketing of both prescription and over-the-counter medicines and hospital products.
The labeling for OxyContin tablets contain the following warnings:
-- OxyContin is an opioid agonist and a Schedule II controlled substance
with an abuse liability similar to morphine.
-- Oxycodone can be abused in a manner similar to other opioid agonists,
legal or illicit. This should be considered when prescribing or
dispensing OxyContin in situations where the physician or pharmacist
is concerned about an increased risk of misuse, abuse, or diversion.
-- OxyContin Tablets are a controlled-release oral formulation of
oxycodone hydrochloride indicated for the management of moderate to
severe pain when a continuous, around-the-clock analgesic is needed
for an extended period of time.
-- OxyContin Tablets are NOT intended for use as a prn analgesic.
-- OxyContin 80 mg and 160 mg Tablets are for use in opioid-tolerant
patients only. These tablet strengths may cause fatal respiratory
depression when administered to patients not previously exposed to
opioids.
-- OxyContin Tablets are to be swallowed whole and are not to be broken,
chewed, or crushed. Taking broken, chewed, or crushed OxyContin
Tablets leads to rapid release and absorption of a potentially fatal
dose of oxycodone.
Full prescribing information for OxyContin Tablets can be found online at the Purdue website at http://www.purduepharma.com/PRESSROOM/PI/OXYCONTIN_PI.PDF.

A very decent start to everyday (Sat & Sun)
Al
I know it may be a hassle but I am glad to see that most everyone does realize that as slow as it is RB is the big dog on the block. I feel it will be most advantageous to keep a presence on both boards.
If things blossom like I am thinking then it may turn out to be that people will be glad to find that stock on InvestorsHub that is shooting to the moon... !! If that happens we could most likely back off from RB .. at that point in time there will be a LOT of investors ... we will be the old-timers that were on board before lift-off!
Best,
Al
I keep getting 'server too busy from RB ... my gosh upgrade boys , this is not a hard thing to figure out ...
I am liking this InvestorsHub board more and more.
Wish more folks knew about it.
Al
HO HO HO ... )
Happy Holidays to all of you.
Al
The value of the stock esp to the longs here.
I might be posting more than normal lately as my time has been taken up with several different things.... so I have just been stating a few things that perhaps some of us have started overlooking ..
Just using round numbers .. If you are long here and have been here since last July - the date of the dividend, and for the sake of my example I am going to take it that you have not traded any shares. ok here goes ..
You perhaps are holding shares that you started buying at approximately .10 and perhaps bought more at .20 and maybe even as high as .30 - Ok that puts you at an average at .20
So if you hold for the conversion of your preferred shares, you will be getting approximately $1 per share worth of common stock for each share you were holding last July.
That is a dollar per share minus your cost of .20 you have netted .80 per share plus whatever the price of the stock is at conversion. You will get $1 worth of common for each share held so the price of the stock really doesn't matter.
You will be getting $1 per share worth of common.
If the stock is at a dime.... you get the dollar worth of common (if your average cost is .20 for the example) you have netted .80 plus the dime. You original shares you had at an average of .20 are worth .90 .... not bad.
But if the stock is at .50 then you have .50 plus .80 .. $1.30
My earlier projections were for the stock to be between .50 and .90 in July that puts you original shares at a value of $1.30 to $1.70
Lately I have looked at the .50 to .90 price range and I think that the projection is low.
Any thoughts on my figures?
Best,
Al
The dividend date was not just picked out of the blue.
.......(this is a post from RB).......
There is a lot going on and ETCR has put itself in the middle. In 30 days things will be humming, in 90 days "Jump back Jack!", to use a technical term.
I agree with the previous posts that things of this nature do indeed take time. There has been a lot of time and hard work put into this project, I know because I have followed it pretty closely. I have all but made a nuisance of myself communicating with the company.
Strangely enough I have worked as a pharmacy technician in my early days at Duke Medical Center, at the time there were two main pharmacies and 5 satellites in the hospital. I have seen my share of legal addicts - I have handled my share of controlled substances. A few years later I went into computer programming(this was 20+ years ago) so I have developed a system or two in my day also.
I know this does not qualify me in any special way but I am aware of the problem and I am aware of the scope of the on taking for the solution. You won't hear me saying buy this stock - I am not a financial consultant. But I have watched this company and seen that it delivers on what it says. So I have bought this stock. Certainly the dividend was attractive but the potential this company has was the main reason.
I feel that the business plan is being executed just about flawlessly and that tells me the time is near. You can buy, sell, daytrade or accumulate matters not to me. I plan on making a pretty penny with this company.
Here is the kicker(more highly technical jargon), the name of the company is Equity Technologies & Resources, Inc.
notice it is plural... notice it is plural.. notice it is plural )))))
I think this is just round one.
My best to all,
Al
oops wrong board -
sorry about that.
Al
old hat, like Cyn, is a definte good luck charm!
Al
You go girl! Keep us all smiling!!
Best,
Al
Lets keep a presense on RB and here.
But wow this is a nice board to use ... easy to access many boards, favorite posters and boards etc... nice...
Best,
Al
Wonderful to hear Mrs Amuck has gotten the worst behind her.
Glad to hear the good news on her.
Take care and my best to your better half.
Hope you enjoy the Holiday season,
Al
Good to see you EZTRADERZZ - I hope you are doing well.
While we wait for others to check this board out - think about the price of the stock as we approach Feb - April and finally July.
Do you have projections of your own.
I do think we will have to at least see 'revenues' at least the firm potential for them in order to firm up the price, the question is when ?
Once we see that revenues are insight I think we will see a base moving toward .20 to .25
Once we have the revenues in place .... it's a real guess and will be contingent on the revenues themselves. But I personally am looking for .50 to .75 by the conversion in July.
Others that have shown to be on top of the situation have told me .50 to .90
What is your outlook?
Best,
Al
ps EZ - Welcome and congrats on being the first poster, you are the senior poster
