MFA Announces Completion of Acquisition of Lima-One Capital
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mfa-financial-inc-announces-completion-130000354.html
That kind of reminds me of something that was suggested a few years ago. The person said someone other than shareholders needs to file a lawsuit.
I cant remember all of it or who it was, but they made some great points.
It doesn't stand for anything. It's more of a joke. MEME stocks are stocks that see big price increases, mostly driven by people on social media (Reddit, Twitter, Tik Tok etc.)
I suppose it's a new way the young whipper-snappers say "pump"

Folks Investors Unite are doing "a major restructuring of the Website- focus on recap and release"
— Science can be great. Media hype not so much (@SkipTheHype) June 26, 2021
So if you see any rumors or FUD or panic or worries on twitter tell them, Investors Unite folks are Alive and Well and just redesigning and will be back soon :-) #Fanniegate
You can lead the JPS horses to water...eh, you know the rest.
Joshua Rosner: "The most insane outcome of the @Scotus decision on @FHFA is that everyone agreed in 2008 that @FannieMae & @FreddieMac issues partly resulted from their being used as #political tools of the #executive branch."
"That is now hardwired & a new #FHFA director will always be political."

Watt taught him well. "Keep your mouth shut, toe the line and get paid very well"
Hannah Lang: Confirming that President Biden has officially removed Mark Calabria as FHFA Director. In an internal email to FHFA employees, he calls his two years at the head of FHFA "an honor of a lifetime" and says "I hope our paths cross again."
Hopefully they will admit they went at this all wrong.
Keeping 99% of the public and media clueless about this GSE saga, did not help the cause one bit.
Yep. Sometimes it has to be explained like we are in elementary school.
Today was like asking mommy for a cookie. She didn't say no, she said not until after dinner.
Some will pout, kick, & scream while others will look forward to after dinner.
Swing trade these until the final chapter is written. I wish I would have been doing it since 2014. I'd be retired.
Charlie Gasburrito picking on your girl Gabby.
The POS has no morals.
Welfare check on JPS...ouch! -62.69%
Calabria was too some years ago
Not when it will go lower
Over ten years and countless times someone has said "PIHN is thin, it wont take much to move this"
If a stock promoter like Xtreme couldn't move this sub penny stock, nothing will.
But, maybe someday!
PIHN, still a mystery who is behind this ticker. No business, no revenue, no customers
I'm going to give it at least 12 months, which is coming up fast. I gave up too soon on FB and don't want a repeat of that.
I'm still in disbelief that RKT went from $20s to $40s and then back below IPO price in about a week, all while reporting billions in profit.

MFA Declares Second Quarter Dividend of $0.10
The dividend will be paid on July 30, 2021, to stockholders of record on June 30, 2021

NYMT Declares Second Quarter Dividend of $0.10
(I'm a little surprised they didn't increase it)
Dividend of $0.10 per share on shares of its common stock for the quarter ending June 30, 2021. The dividend will be payable on July 26, 2021 to common stockholders of record as of the close of business on June 24, 2021.

And the goose that lays the golden eggs, remains interned.
MFA is on fire the last couple days. I wonder if there is something brewing to increase the dividend that should be announced this month.

RKT gets Buy rating at Argus, Neutral at Piper

I sure miss Mike Capuano
Nice to see this but still $20 off where it was and where it should be.
52 week high: $41.10
Fannie is still 4 ticks behind. Where are you seeing it differently?
A bad day all around for the market. FnF dont always follow suit, but today it looks like they did.
Plaintiff attorneys that don't know how or don't want to use the power of the people (shareholders) and the media. I'm not saying it would change the outcome, but it wouldn't hurt and sure as heck wouldn't drag out for a decade.
I read something interesting years ago regarding going up against the gooberment that I think fits this GSE saga. Paraphrasing: 'If 90% of the public would agree there was wrongdoings, but 90% of the public isn't aware of the wrongdoings, the chances of winning are about 10%'
I am disappointed in the gooberment for those and it also gives some explanation as to why their share prices are where they are.
This one though, there's no explanation for the share price to drop below IPO price shortly after posting billions in profit.

Calabria and others like Watt were told to toe the line if you want the job.
I knew I should've sold at $40
I haven't been this disappointed in a stock for awhile.
Aka the Moelis plan which not only gets the govt (even more) money from the GSEs but also helps protect the taxpayer in the case of a housing downturn.

I like this plan! https://t.co/Cp5XnrvT1z
Gasbag doesn't understand a lot about the GSEs.
He often asks other journalists for information and then turns around and says he got the "scoop". The more he pretends to know about this saga, the more out of his league he looks.
I figured there would be a pull-back after it reached $40 but damn, this is insane.
Yep. Certain mortgage company posted Billions in profit and the stock tanked.
Most companies cant report billions in revenue, let alone profit.
