spree99:"haha, like i said show the direct physical evidence"
lol. are you the one that likes to post rumors on the IDCC boards. You never show your "direct physical evidence"
Don't be a asz for asking someone to post there "direct physical evidence"
JimLur:" If the crude continues to get hammered or stays where it's at"
You sure know how to hurt a guy. lol
JimLur:" hard to beleive Nokia is going through all this on a wing and a prayer."
If your cods are in vise, what else can you do?????
amrwonderful:"truly screwed the pooch." leave my dogs out of this. lol They have all been "fixed"
Dishfan:"Oracle is attempting to elect their own board members who would not enforce the pill"
Hum, have to wonder why some work so hard to replace members of IDCC board. No finger pointing, just saying "Hum"
Corp_Buyer:"InterDigital’s current Chairman is a garment industry entrepreneur"
BS Corp. So what. Do I need to remind you, that Mike Dell & Bill Gates are college drop outs. Yet they "head" up two of the biggest companies in the world. This little verse you like to sing holds no water.
my3sons87:"We might need him to bite Jorma O in the Arse. And if so I hope he is a Pitbull."
He would have been clad too, but we had to put him down today. He was a great dog. Black & Tan Coon Hound crossed with Bloodhound. Somewhere in his family tree he got "Wobbler Disease." That's a neurology disorder in dogs that size. He was 4 years but he did a lot in his short life. Won a lot of trophies in "Tracking" He won the Iron Dog Award this summer, for getting 1st place in all 5 events, In The Southern States Tracking Association Finals. He was a great one. Got three more, two Walker Hounds in Training & a BC
my3sons87: that's common for "long term" IDCC share holders. lol
I eat well & so does my dogs.
In the green, made a few K's today. On paper but beat's the heck out of trying to time it.
amrwonderful:lol how times have changed.
dmiller: look out someone cut that limb out from under you.
lastchoice; you beat me to it.
Desert dweller:"Something just popped into my mind" when you have something "pop" in it comes with fireworks. Can't waite to see what the "minds" have to say on this one.
The Count: IMO when IDCC nails NOM & Sam on 2G, the rest will get onboard. Then, again IMO 3G is a lock. When IDCC has the Big $$$$$ from NOK & Sam, who in there right mind would fight them. OK, there are on this board that will.lol
quartzman0: Thanks, very good post and to the point. You covered all the points.
Your second post was even more to the point. Thanks again.
ams13sag:"did you expect substantially more from an Ericy settlement than what management actually negotiated."
I expect more from every settlement, if I don't get it, I don't "B" like some little school girl. I look at my investment and decide if I want to stay or go. I don't bother other investor's with BS.
ams13sag:"how many time have management made statements that was misleading."
Not as many times as YOU have made "statements that was misleading."
snowblow5: you ask him about the wrong company. Just ask about QCOM and you will get all/any/to much info you need.lol
dmiller:"I'll go on the record now and say...my guess is that Arb will not conclude until the spring or beginning of summer."
If you believe that, why let your money lay "dead" for all that time. Move it where there is a better play and get back in say March. IMO you are wrong. It makes No difference to me as am a true long. So long I will not sell in my life time. Can't, tax's would eat me a live. Not just IDCC but other stocks as well. Everything I have in & future buys go to the Grand Kids.
dmiller:"In hindsight I sold too early but a huge profit is a profit and I have no regrets."
Were you knocking it like IDCC, when it was @15.
Close in the green. Some people just don't know how to call them.
Thanks Nieves: look out Corp, brick on the way. eom
william_wallace:"or, they are convinced that the arbitration outcome will not be favorable for IDCC."
In that case they should not buy IDCC. lol
olddog967: Well said.eom
OT:ciciagt:"If your dog is too rich he bought Qcom." lol, guess I need to change his name to "InterDigital"
Corp_Buyer:"one study (I may have posted) showed that the B-S method"
Who knows Corp, you post so much BS.lol
rmarchma:"When an employee puts his/her own money into an investment in the company at the going market price, ones' perspective completely changes IMO."
Hum, sounds like my brother-in-laws old plan he had when working for Nat'l Steel Corp. Spends 31 years with them, bought stock in the company every month, which the company match dollar for dollar. A year before he was due to retired they sold out, and the company they sold to went "belly up. He lost it all. Well he got something like 10 cent's on the dollar in retirment.
That's why I say now, get what you can & get out. No more company loyally. IMO because of "thin skin" investor's that only look at the "bottom line"
Desert dweller: you have your opinion & I have mine. IMO companies like IDCC will always be a "start up." They will always be another G down the road to go for. You start paying them only "cash" they start setting on there "A's" Human Nature. Then were is your investment.
Desert dweller:"What has occurred in the past since about 1995 was a major shift of assets from investors (those who are putting their money at risk) to employees."
There lays the problem I have that way of thinking. The investor is putting "only" money into the company. It is a gamble. Your are gambling on the company stock price to go "higher." You place your bet and go on your way, checking every now & then to see if it's high enough to sell yet. What "odds" do you request when you go to Vegas. Are they stacked in your favor on the dice table. To me it's the same thing.
However the "employees" no matter what there job is, are there day in day out. Busting there chops to make the "Stock Price" go higher. Especially with a stock like IDCC. What have you or I done to help it go higher. Nobody makes us buy into a stock, it's our choice. IMO the "employees" deserve all they can get & more. They are working for it, we are not.
Who is "rooster" is he the same as Rudy The Little on the RB boards
amrwonderful:"If you are NOK, where do you go from there?" after useing a "Big" towel to dry there eyes, IMO they go to the desk and write a "Big" check to IDCC. Would help if the put it in a nice card.
william_wallace:"If Nokia thought the panel would rule that S/E is a trigger - they would have settled by now. If the investment community was certain the panel would rule S/E was a trigger, we'd be trading in the $50 to $80 range right now."
IMO if NOK had thought that, they would not have threw the sink at IDCC in the opening round. IMO NOK is play a game they can not win but don't know how to exit. They can't afford to show "fear" of a little old company from K of P. What would the rest of Europe think. They are at the point now IMO to go for broke with a roll of the dice. Doesn't matter, they lose in the end.
The street doesn't think anything right now, they don't have to till 2005. Plenty of time left to milk other cows before IDCC shows up on radar.
ams13sag: No I don't eat snails or Horse Meat.lol
ams13sag: that is funny coming from a man that thinks it's cool to be French!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ams13sag: you are trip son, anything to kill a postive on IDCC.
lastchoice:" Due to anticipated profitability, IDCC " I love to see that in print. Think I will have another cup on that news.
my3sons87: LOL great post.eom
The Count:"When will IDCC sell the shares.." could they also use them in "stock split" way down the line, after NOK & Sam are over.
Ot:Danny Detail:"but I continue to read his posts for comic relief given his premier status in the clueless investor Hall of Fame."
I agree. asm does give us a lot of laughs. He even thinks by saying he has retired to the South Of France really means something. Now if he had said he retired to New Orleans where they speak french, that would say, OK guys I made it Big Time in The Big Easy. lol
ams13sag:"it is up to management to come up with something positive to drive the share price forward. Do you not agree that we as shareholders so far have not gained by any share appreciation,"
Sorry ams boy, but I do not agree. As for this shareholder, I am up over 100% as my nut on IDCC is less than 8$ a share. If I had sold ? what would I have bought in it's place. Most stocks are like IDCC up & down, even the great QCOM. So this stock has shown "appreciation."
Now what I don't understand is someone like you. You claim to have made all this money on IDCC but yet you bash & post any & every negative you can on this stock. Of course this "made money" is always after the fact. But taken you at your word does it make since to run down a stock you make money. Now I understand why Ed always post negative, it for us that don't go up on the mountain & speak to a burning bushs. He just didn't want us to get our hopes up. But you and a few others seem to get your kicks out of running IDCC down.
ams13sag:"A year ago on the 24th October the share closed at $16.9. Since that date overheads have increased by in excess of 33%"
Yes, and on that same date you were on this board B'ing about some other "micky mouse" thing. With all the "digging" you do can't you for once come up with something Positive about IDCC.
