What exactly do you like ... ? People names don't = handheld device. There won't be a handheld, the company has even stated that.
and ...Holding for 2 years... still gambling....
Here are some facts for you.
fact#1 These guys spent a year developing a device (alpha prototype) that nobody had ever seen, and likely didn't exist - even pretending to go to a trade show sabotaged the stock price. No media images or anything.
Ok next, Fact#2, these guys have spent the last year working on a device that again, for which no images or anything media related were shown.
Fact#3, the piece they claim to have built is the size of a desk-top computer, as stated in THEIR news release, which negates the idea of a handheld... no longer possible.
Fact#4, they diluted shareholders and family bought into the private placement, after 2 years of having nothing to show.
Fact#5, they have several companies, all of which have nothing to show in terms of REAL TANGIBLE GOODS. 2 years and not one image or even slight bit of proof, just fuff NRs.
Sounds like a great investment to me...
Family has been cashing in on every single news release for the past 2 years, plus on the warrants from the PP
I have always preached to this board that there is money to be made on this stock. However, over the course of 2 years of patience, my patience dried up. Things have moved very slowly.
Someone just picked up a ton of shares.
...............Each Unit is comprised of one common share ("Common Share") at $0.15 cents, and one non-transferable common share purchase warrant ("Warrant") exercisable at $0.25 cents per common share for a period of 24 months from the date of closing.
These guys have "had a prototype" several times HOWEVER, they have not once showed the public a picture of anything they are working on. And management sends sketchy emails to investors with poor typos. They have 5 companies going, none of which have a product. They diluted share holders so family could cash in.
HELLLLOOOOO
They won't have a device either. This has been a stock with fluff news release for 2+ years. Those who are still hanging around holding there investments that they can't dump because they are either (a) bag holding and down (b) super low volume (c) investing on hope.
These guys are 3 years from a device.
... His point was that this stock is terrible..
Investing on hope doesn't work. Thinking a public that is required to update shareholders on updates is "holding" something is not a good investment strategy. These guys have nothing. They have 1 of many pieces and it's still a desk-top sized massive machine. This is a pump. It has been for 2+ years.
terrible PR by this company ...status quo. What CEO takes time to email investors, misspelled emails...
...The spelling typos... really... that's just sad.
What I am saying is that they are trying there hardest to reduce the size of the device and are currently working with a desktop sized computer... and that's after months. No lawsuit, just don't waste your time!
This is a publicly traded company that will update investors on material advances in a timely manner. Given that university centre's work slow... academic research and development always is, regardless of funding source... you have a slow development process and can be assured they are stretching to tell us what they have. If anything they are behind where they are, or just getting to that point, not ahead. This is also a very complex process and you don't simply stumble upon a device. It's extremely complicated.
If you had been following my posts over the past 6 months you would actually see that I correctly predicted the share price movement since the spring time. The recent press releases have added to the negativity as the device they plan to build will likely not be exactly what police will be looking for. The adjusted timeline suggests that it will be 6months before they start testing a device that's way too large and needs to be plugged into a million dollar mass spec and also to the wall for power. 2 years for trial testing of a device that isn't even meeting expectations?
So? The stock price continues to drop. Will head to 15 cents BLO.
News flash. No Handheld! Developing a desktop-sized device that needs to be plugged into the wall = stock price going to continue to drop.
I wouldn't want to be holding shares! They don't need PR, they have nothing to put out positive press on. This thing is going nowhere any time soon. Just like the share price which is dropping on no volume.
I am not ignoring scientific fact. What is fact is that they won't be building a handle held and the stock price is dropping again as a reflection of a let down news release after 2 years of struggling.
It's already desk-top sized and parts aren't even added to it yet... it's going to be bigger than a desktop and needs to be plugged into the wall... THAT is what they will do "external testing" on.
Not looking good folks.
WHAT THEY ACTUALLY TOLD YOU is that they built a desktop computer sized single piece of a breathalyzer-to-be, which is going to require several other large parts and needs to be plugged into the wall and attached to a million plus dollar mass spectrometer. LOL.
I thought they would produce a much smaller FAIMS cell. I have given up hope now that they have come out and stated that it is going to be bigger than a desk-top computer (before we have even added all the parts). AND they are >6 months from going to testing with that massive device that needs to get plugged into the wall.
That's the issue. Things have changed. I used to be optimistic back when there was a greater chance of having a handheld, but now it's clear that's not happening.
There won't be testing for 6 months. And the testing will be done on a mini-fridge sized device that needs to be plugged into the wall. That's if we are lucky. They will take 1-2 years after that for external testing here they might not even be able to develop the correct blood tests to detect THC in human breath from people who have smoked marijuana (instead of the previous cigarettes they use...).
This is far fetched and less likely by the day.
They announced they won't be building a handheld in the latest news release... I thought it was pretty obvious when they stated that one single piece of a device that is going to require even more large pieces added to it, is STILL the size of a desktop computer...
1 year anniversary of yost with nothing to show.
2+ years of doing nothing except pumping crappy PRs. Join with Yost and take a year and friends and family cash in while this dropped. Now they are building a mini-fridge.
The press release recently says it all. NO HANDHELD, its greater than the size of a DESKTOP.
And it won't be ready for testing for >6 months and won't be done trial testing for >2 years.
Cannabix isn't building a handheld device. Most here don't realize that.
The company just announced they won't be making a hand held. The device is going to be bigger than a desktop computer and will need to be plugged into the wall.
They can detect THC, using a massive fridge sized world class (millions of dollars) mass spectrometer. What people here are failing to realize is the near impossibility of doing so with a handheld.
Also, the company just announced they won't be making a hand held. The device is going to be bigger than a desktop computer and will need to be plugged into the wall.
same thing.......................
FAIMS cell is different than FAIMS component. The component in which they have claimed to detect THC recently, is 4 times smaller than the benchtop mass spectromter's separation component. I.e. it's gone from fridge size to desktop size. All they did was take the bigger component and switch it for the smaller one, all of the other parts (like detector and ionizer, etc) were from the fridge sized device. That's what is meant by, "coupled to the traditional mass spectromter". They then proceeded to say they will get the ionizer and detector and add it to the desktop sized component.
The result will be a device about the size of a mini-fridge that needs to be plugged into the wall...
He/she makes a good point. It's going to be months if not more.
You can't deny the timeline of scientific advancement, or in this case, the lack thereof. Moving on university shcedule = SLOW to NO progress. Even if they build a mini-fridge sized device, you're going to maybe see that in 6 months. Will still need to get plugged into the wall.
It's going to be longer than months before there is testing. They aren't even close.
Shell3, that is just the tiny little piece that is housed in the desk-top sized FAIMS component. You're trying to mislead by using pictures from long long ago.
All you have really said is, "mass spectrometry has been used for detection with great accuracy". NO REALLLLY??? Thanks for stating fact that has been known for decades.
What you fail to consider is the fact that DETECTION OF THC is not the same as detection of "trace elements". Detecting some ions in samples can be easy. Depends on their size and charge and the medium to extract from. THC FROM BREATH is not the same.
I don't bet, I consider scientific fact. I was correct about the timeline over the past 4 months, and also correctly predicted the change in share price. Scientific fact gets you further than hope. You talk about holding your shares until their is a device, yet you aren't even sure there will be one.
Everyone is going to be waiting a long time. Been 2 years, easily will be another 2, if not more before we get something that's desktop sized.
They are not even close to having a stand alone mass spec. Desktop is referring to the size of the FAIMS component, which is only the portion that contains the cell (separates the ions). It hasn't even got the detector and ionizer attached which are much bigger than the FAIMS component - you can guarantee "desktop" will be doubled in size with the added components for Beta 2.0.
Also, I think you have misunderstood, they haven't miniaturized the Mass Spec. This quote is DIRECTLY from the news release and proves my point.
Your answer was stated in the recent press release. Thus, I do not think they will produce a HANDHELD device. I think they are going to do exactly what they have told us so far... produce a device that is AT LEAST as big as a COMPUTER. They have only built one part of the device and it's the size of a computer and it needs to be plugged into a wall, coupled to a huge fridge sized mass spec, and needs 3 more pieces added to it. My guess is that they will have a device that's going for trial testing in about 6-8 months, and it will be the size of a mini-fridge and need to be plugged into the wall/an outlet.
They will send that for "trial testing" and that will likely take 1-2 years, even if it works, which is questionable.
Thus, if you're trying to score big on this stock, might as well come back in a year or two.
Wake up call... To all those who think trial testing is coming soon, just remember that all they did recently is shrunk the FAIMS cell, one component, something we all thought they were doing for 6 months. They haven't even got a detector or ionizer on there... they are stuck relying on the benchtop mass spectrometer in the lab to which they have to be hooked up - it's the size of a fridge and costs millions of dollars. The benchtop size piece they produced is MAYBE one-third of the size of what they ae currently building after you factor in the dector and ionizer. Also... it needs to be plugged into and outlet...
Nobody is taking a mini-fridge that needs to be plugged into an outlet, into a squad car. Wake up, they are SO FAR from where everyone thinks they are. THEY DON'T AND WON'T HAVE A HANDHELD SIZE DEVICE.
The same people are still posting hear that they hope it's going to take off. I have endlessly critiqued the science and those investing should go back and read posts. Even if these guys got really lucky and all they built a device, it would take at least a year plus at least 2 years for trial testing and then approval by lawmakers.
This share price is going to head back to 15 cents (BLO) while management fumbles around.
