I'm gone. Like a steam locomotive rolling down the track, I'm gone, gone, and nothing's going to bring me back. I'm gone. 06/29/2023

Arrgh! I can't search the thread (freebie), anyway my memory may be failing me on this. I just seem to remember them saying something about TSMC being ready to rock and roll soon, but I could be wrong.
spokeshave,
So, according to the July 10Q, they made significant design changes (and believe me, this would rank as significant) since the previous 10K (assuming they would report something this material in a "timely" fashion). Help me out here, as I don't follow every emission put forth by the company.
Didn't Rim say something in the fall/winter about where they were in the design progression to tape out their ASIC? I'm noodling here, but I seem to remember that they implied tape out was near if not imminent?
Again, my memory on this is not the clearest, any clarification would be appreciated.
(I think you know where I'm headed with this.)

Well said.
Dear Zeev,
My prayers continue as you continue to win your battle. I look forward to the time you say "I am no longer a patient. I am a survivor". I know in my heart this will happen.
Godspeed.
One will still need either a safe deposit box or a safe to keep the originals (required by the courts, you cannot get around that). If you need that, why not put everything in it?
Sure, they will sell some. But to make decent money in software, you need to sell millions of copies. The demand won't be that robust.
But if you believe, don't let me hinder your thoughts.
In looking at those eggs, how many chickens do you count, mas?
I think this application will have a rather limited use. Storing credit card info, passwords, etc., sure.
But important documents like wills, trusts, pre-nuptial agmts., powers of attorney are still paper-based, executed in a lawyer's office, signed & notarized. Sure, you could possibly scan the document into a digital image, but the courts unfortunately require originals.
Sorry, no info on Will Swope. His Intel bio still does not mention anything about Rim.
As far as entry point on INTC, I'd recommend getting in at the open tomorrow. Today, it's up $1.29 to $19.90. I believe it's bottomed.
Actually, the majority of spokeshave's posts after coming back to visit this board occured after Chan's ban expired. Do your homework:

R U going to ride them further? I think there is some more "life" left in RIMM.
It takes time to make golden nails for the coffin.
AAPL & RIMM looking tasty here, for sure.
Thanks, Zeev. I tend to agree and have a fairly large position (held for a long time) in INTC that I'll probably lighten up, if we get that bump.
Hi Zeev,
re: My Dec 6 forecast was just met and exceeded with the Naz breaching 2300 and the Dow breaching 12,000, both a little ahead of schedule, though.
Was that enough for you to tweak your last forecast?
Take care.
Prof Doc,
I believe you may have hit the nail square on the head.
I agree, cannabis. International market action today has me very concerned. "They" said that a cut before the FED mtg. at the end of the month would "scare" the market. What the heck do "they" think they have right now? A full basis point cut is in order, IMO.
10-4
OT - Sorry, I can't PM. But yes, I knew him at F6 and later when we worked very closely in the Platform Security Div.
Fab 6 brought back a lot of good memories, back in the pre-PC embedded controller days. Man, we could move FAST back in those days, there was virtually no bureaucracy and some really wild and crazy guys!
re: Probably from the old Fab6 in Israel
I thought Fab 6 was the fab on the original campus in Chandler, AZ (Williams Field Rd./Chandler Blvd.)? Shuttered many years ago.
GraveYouth,
For many of us who have been invested in INTC for many years, our basis is single digits (adjusted for quite a few splits).
re: You can do better. Really you can.
Maybe he can. Maybe not.
Well, I did it AGAIN. Figured the analysts didn't know what they were talking about lately. Was sure Intel would exceed.
Now I'm sure I was wrong. Deja Vu all over again.
re: Yet Intel is getting punished in AH already....
You got that right.
Groan.
re: Malatesta
Gene?
Seems someone held off almost 2 months to invoke his Free 2 Week Trial Premium Membership so he could execute his magnum drive-by today.
He was a colleague, but I knew him professionally. No, no character deficiencies. My inquiry wasn't directly to him, but to Intel Public Relations (I no longer have an Intel directory and I would imagine contact info would have changed after 10 years).
Will is a very upright and honest guy. He also is at a point in life, after many years at Intel in very senior positions, where he would not be enticed in nefarious ways to prop up a sham. He's also the kind of guy who wouldn't be enticed, even if he was a junior technician in the lab.
It could possibly be that Intel PR doesn't field such inquiries, by policy. To them, I'm just another denizen of cyberspace (I WASN'T a VP, LOL. I was one of 95,000 employees.).
Still, it doesn't add up for the reasons stated above. I'll try to ask around to see what I can find.
I just received an answer (of sorts) from Intel Public Relations. They neither confirmed nor denied whether Will Swope was a RSMI board member:
You will want to contact Rim* directly for further assistance. Their website gives company contact as: Brad Ketch, 503-257-6700, info@rimsemi.com They should be able to assist you with your request.
I am too far removed to be able to try to contact Will directly and I know contacting Rim will serve no purpose.
Still doesn't make any sense to me.
Is there a nat. gas ETF? If so, is it nat. gas firms or the commodity itself?
Lycus,
Thanks, I don't know much about that paid promotional tick tock board or it's head pumper.
I am 10 years retired from Intel and many miles distant now, so I had to make my inquiry via email. I'm still waitiing for a reply.
It was a drive-by (again). Doktor has again sped off into the sunset. Who was that masked man?
re: Unmask this charlatan
OK, I'll bite. Who is he? And who is George?
excel is a God fearing man. You, on the other hand, have filled the board with repetitive personal attacks. I believe the reader will easily decide which party holds the high moral ground.
Now, would you please get back to your pumping ... errr ... DD and avoid the off-topic?
Good job, excel.
George?
Gotta love the icon iHub placed in your profile (instead of the dollar sign usually assigned to a subscribing member):

OT re: Melbourne & flies
That's typical for Australia in the warm months. You think they were bad in Melbourne, they are bad to the power of 10 in the Outback. I've still got the funky hat with fly mesh hanging down to keep 'em off your face.
re: have your cpa check out the december 07 changes regarding amt recapture.
I most certainly will!
re: I really should visit more for the entertainment value.
Yeah, but reading the same jokes over and over eventually gets tedious.
