Great video thanks for sharing
Wasn't it just announced that the EAPS program was not funded? I think the carnard looks really cool though.
Still hoping for some good news to move the PPS.
Yes it has revenue, and it is trading at a price that someone has been willing to pay. You probably need to research the company yourself.
Pretty sure this was just 1,000,000 sold. The purchase was last year.

OK one of the smart folks want to take a stab at what the above means.
1,000,000 sold at average price of $.277
Everyone should panic and sell their shares now, so I can buy some more cheap. Thanks
Seems to be fitting the pattern so far.
The number of outstanding shares was in the 10k. The answer of the question of what happened to 68M shares seems to be alluding me though. If you know please shove my in the correct direction.
With all the talk of dilution I expected the float to increase.
iHub shows LQMT float at 305M shouldn't it be 373M?
Something up, or am I remembering this wrong.
OK not to be the downer here, but what can possible be new coming out of this Engel show?
We have all seen picture of Prototypes.
We have all been told there is now a supply chain.
We have been told there is an Engel machine.
Nothing new can be announced at the show.
Pump it up prior to the show, be disappointed with the show, trigger a dump. That is what I see for tomorrow or really Wednesday. I hope I am wrong, but that seems to be the pattern with this stock.
Until there is real news tread carefully.
IMHO
How did you do buying and selling this afternoon?
Seems to me that LQMT has not pulled back as far as some speculated. I am still green and will wait patiently for some real news. I am not expecting this news to come from the Engel trade show, but as always I welcome a surprise.
I am not a patent lawyer, but how I read it is unless they can be extended all the formula patents will be expiring soon. That is why production and manufacturing patent coverage is important.
IMO, you will not see .24 today. Looks like the dump is over.
Watts, you seem to have a lot of questions. What is preventing you from asking them?
I know cheap I bought cheap, I wish I could have bought more cheap. Why, because I am optimistic and can see a big future for BMG. Now can this company make some money? It is still to be seen. Hopefully there are no big negatives on tomorrow's call. I don't expect any big announcements, yet.
Well I guess who every was selling cheep stopped. Looking forward to real news tomorrow.
The percentage was so small for me it means nothing.
For Barney, maybe he bought a Tesla???
It seems to work better with an upbeat vibe then it does when the vibe is down. At least that is what I have observed.
My question what happens if an investor/group dump and the price does not drop?
Wow it must be a weekend with little news to talk about cuz there are a lot of gaps in the post count here.
I was impress by some of the trades Friday, some very large blocks being bought at .29. Maybe that means we have found the bottom.
If it goes down to a point that will make a difference to me I will try and buy some more, until then patiently waiting for news.
I think Liquidmetal has interesting possibilities when used in creating a Concentrated photovoltaic, would love to be able to explore that in a lab.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concentrated_photovoltaics
and from my last post tying them together, http://info.liquidmetal.com/blog/bid/173085/Liquidmetal-Formed-Mirrors
Your post makes me think of this blog entry.

Hi Watts, not taking a shot at your question, I don't know the answer. What I can say though is this. The more I research BMG the more excited I become. If BMG can move beyond the research stage and into practical applications then we are looking at a product that will change the world as we know it. The more I read the bigger my dreams become.
As far as Liquidmetal goes, I hope they are successful, I dream about one day being rich, I long for $52.00 a share so I can be a millionaire.
Truth be told though I can be happy if BMG lives up to our dreams and expectations, while Liquidmetal fades into our distant memories. A while ago, you posted a link to a YouTube video "Million American Jobs Project" my hope is that the BMG revolution will get us there. If it makes us rich in the process that is just a bonus.

Here is my question for the weekend, could the discussion we are having be heading back in this direction? (see referenced post) Is a Liquidmetal iPhone case just the proverbial red herring?
Why would I want to get out. If I had the money I would buy more.
I was just playing off your cliffhanger. I think liquidmetal has a bright future.
...truth???
A liquidmetal lie detector made by Apple
:)
What if Apple has developed a fuel cell powerful enough to power a car?
The Apple, Liquidmetal, and Tesla connection.
All this excitement on the MTRN call talking about LQMT and the market response, meh.
Steipp said in an interview lgmt could be worth Billions. I know Billions is a vague term but with 473,000,000 share $1,000,000,000 works out to $2.11 per share, which is worth waiting on IMO.
Now ask yourself the question what does billions mean?
The text does not do justice to what was said, there was genuine excitement here.
It is worth listening for yourself, 42:00 minute mark.

If you wanted to make if big I am sure you could. I don't think we are at a "physical" limit for cooling.

OK breaking down MTRN 2014 Outlook.
2012 EPS = 1.19
2013 EPS = .94
2014 EPS = 1.75 - 1.95
2013 to 2014 .94(2014 EPS) + .30(facility and product rationalization initiatives) = 1.24 to get to 1.75 - 1.95 MTRN would need to add between $10.5 and $14.6 Mil. from the beryllium pebble plant and new product pipeline.
Assuming 2012 number are more realistic then they would need to add between $5.4 and $9.5 Mil.
If someone is on the call tomorrow ask what the new product pipeline is, if it is BMG this "could" be huge
As a side note I do not think the numbers are big enough for MTRN to be supplying BMG to AAPL.
"OUTLOOK
Entering 2014, business levels are up by approximately 10% compared to the beginning of 2013. While order entry is stronger coming into the year, earnings for the first quarter of 2014 will be negatively impacted by approximately $0.10 per share due to weather-related facility shutdowns and production curtailments.
The facility and product rationalization initiatives taken during 2013 are expected to provide up to a $0.30 per share benefit in 2014. The full impact on earnings from these initiatives is expected to be visible by the second quarter. The new beryllium pebble plant, which endured significant start-up and ramp-up issues throughout the prior year, continues to ramp-up at a sufficient pace to support anticipated increased business levels in 2014. These factors, plus the benefits from our new product pipeline, should result in a sequentially stronger second quarter in 2014 when compared to the first quarter and a stronger second half. Therefore, earnings for the full-year 2014 are expected to be well above 2013 and in the range of $1.75 to $1.95 per share, consistent with previous guidance.
"
Nothing unexpected here, it would have been nice to see a 10x increase in the Performance Alloy sales though.
Great to see Materion is projecting a big second half of the year, hopefully this is do to sales of BMG.
Back to speculating...
What was important to you about ARC that made you post this?
What I found interesting from looking at the ARC Group Worldwide website.
"ACQUISITIONS
Acquisitions play a key role at ARC. ARC makes acquisitions in three areas, which are: (i.) areas that are strategic to ARC’s existing business units, (ii.) areas where Arc can vertically integrate in its existing units, and (iii.) new manufacturing niches that fit into ARC’s broader objectives. ARC’s team is highly experienced in mergers and acquisitions, having completed numerous transactions since 2000."
http://www.arcgroupworldwide.com/about.php
Edit: On further review, ARC Worldwide does not seem to be big enough to make an offer I would be happy with, which makes all of this not as interesting.
Not that it really matters but bloomberg had the date wrong as well.

Thanks Gorgol
I looked that video up on YouTube and it is worth watching.
I would not say it is good for Liquidmetal, since the dumps hurt the confidence of the average investor.
As far as your read of it, yes that is one form of manipulation that can occur.
The other would go something like this, remember this stock has a low volume compared to the float.
An Investor accumulates a large volume of stock, they see the stock is up, and know that there will be investors looking to protect their gains. They start dumping some of their stock under the bid to drive the price down, this causes a panic sell off of those trying to protect their gains. Once they have driven the price down they start buying back, which ultimately causes the drop to level off. Since they can respond quicker than the market they are able to buy back for less than they sold for.
All of the above is IMHO
This one is pretty easy to figure out.
Step 1: only invest if you believe in the technology.
Step 2: only invest what you are willing to lose, this is a penny stock after all..
Step 3: don't respond to market movement unless you want to play it
Step 4: buy on the dumps, if you can, see Step 2
Step 5: don't sell until your reach your goal, don't be scared you may lose it all, see step 2
And finally enjoy the ride up, see Step 1
An interesting read on Form T trades in OTC stocks.
Every invester who is new to penny stocks as I am sure read this, it helps explain the game we are playing.
http://incrediblepennystocks.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/incredible-penny-stocks-what-is-a-form-t-trade/
"To understand how this trade works, one must understand the role of the market maker. The most frustrating aspect of investing in the pennies, is market maker manipulation of the stock price. Anyone that claims this manipulation doesn’t happen truly does not understand the OTC Market. Market makers are in place to “control” the price of a stock and, theoretically, to ensure that the market reacts properly to supply and demand for a certain stock. Unfortunately, when large sums of money and a lack of regulation are involved, more often than not, there is manipulation that suits the needs of certain investors or the market makers themselves. After all, they are in business to make money as well. If the average investor is purchasing stocks in the OTC Market, that investor is truly at the mercy of the market makers involved in the purchase and sale of that security."
Nice pump and dump, I am impressed. It is amazing how little dumping it takes to drop this stock 10%. Maybe next time I pick up the pattern I will try and trade with you. Never mind, I don't own enough for it to be worth the risk.
I know this question was addressed to Anax but though I would chime in.
LM105 is not new, it would have been covered in the original purchase of IP by Apple.
In valuing Liquidmetal I assume no more money from Apple. With that said what the apple deal did do was save the company from insolvency, and developed the product to a point is can now "truly" be commercialized.
Also if Apple does release a Liquidmetal iPhone then that will be proof that the product is ready for anyone to use in mass quantities. Which in my opinion is going to create many, many new opportunities.
