No Steve, its not true that the pps will not rise until production commences!... When the Prudhoe Bay discovery was made on the north slope of Alaska, the price or BP shares went through the roof, even though no production would be possible for almost a decade!
http://anwr.org/2013/08/prudhoe-bay-production/
If the previous 3 wells were not commercial, why did they core, log, and set casing on completion?... It doesn't make sense, unless they plan to put them in production in the future!... Like I said folks, when they say they have something big, they probably have nothing, and when they say they have nothing, they probably have something big!
I think the Zion "bear party" is over!
Yesterday was an "inside range day" (indecision).

Unlike the others, Zion has a LOT imho.
(Those other wells are very far away from this one!)
Yes! I totally agree! A pipeline is essential...

Its foolish to think this is a scam because we have solid proof that they are actually using the money to drill expensive wells! If it were a scam they would not be spending millions of dollars doing any such thing! (They would be stealing it) Duh!
No tisdal, it now takes "9 days to cover!"
That is an "EXTREMELY BULLISH" ratio!

Re: "Liner hanger"... Here's a more detailed answer...
Expandable Casing and Liner
Expandable casing or liner is run in a well, then its diameter is permanently enlarged up to 30% by hydraulically pumping an expander plug through it. Elastomer can be bonded to the outside of the casing to form a seal. It is used to reduce the tapering effect of the diameter of casing and liner strings becoming smaller and smaller as they go deeper into a well. Expandable casing can also be used to isolate water, fracture, lost circulation, and sloughing shale zones.
Expandable casing and liners have been used for the construction of monobore wells. A monobore well has casing that is very similar in diameter from the top to the bottom of the well. A problem with deep wells and long deviated or horizontal wells is that the casing becomes smaller and smaller with depth. A monobore well eliminates that problem by allowing a larger diameter production tubing string and higher production rates.
A "tubingless completion," used on very high-volume wells, brings the produced fluids up the casing string without using tubing!

Re: "Liner hanger"... Here's a simple answer...
http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb.com/Terms/l/liner_hanger.aspx
No, they just connected a liner hanger to the bottom of the 9 5/8" casing string in case they needed to hang an expandable liner (instead of another string of casing) later on. As far as testing is concerned, perforating liner that is hung from the previous casing string is no different than perforating casing that runs all the way to the surface. Here are some links that might help explain it...

Yes, I believe they will perforate and test the "four zones of interest" and then set the production casing, and then perforate and test the main reservoir in the last 2000 feet or so of the total depth. It must be huge, because they say they have already encountered it, even though they still have up to 2000 feet to go!
Perforating multiple strings and thick cement
Concentric casing strings reduce the penetration of any perforating charge.[32][33] The thickness of the extra string of casing, as well as the thickness of the two sheaths of cement that must be penetrated, reduces the perforation penetration length. In severe cases of small liners set through larger pipe, such as 5-in. liner cemented in 9 5/8-in. casing, perforating both strings is considerably more difficult. For the best chance of perforating multiple strings, the largest, best designed deep-penetrating charge that can be run will generally have the best chance of penetrating through all the strings and into the formation.[23] Through-tubing guns are not recommended for shooting concentric strings because hole size and penetration are reduced with small charges.
http://petrowiki.org/Perforating_design#Perforating_multiple_strings_and_thick_cement
Actually, the test can be run on either an open hole ore a cased hole that has been perforated.
and that's why the short interest ratio keeps rising!
http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/zn/short-interest
Wow! Nine days, just to cover the shorts!
That means the production casing is next. Also, they said the Jewish holidays could slow (not stop) the drilling progress. Did it ever occur to you that the scam is convincing us that they have nothing, when in fact they have discovered a "giant" oilfield, and that is why the share price has not really fallen very much, and that is probably why the market cap is so huge!
More than enough to know it can be done!
http://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/46919/drilling_operations_temporarily_suspended_at_hess_pony_prospect/
Except for the most recently drilled portion, the well has been cased and cemented. Since the uncased portion contains no reservoir rock or high pressure zones, there is no danger of a blow-out and no need to maintain overpressure in the drilling mud. So all they have to do to keep the drill-string from getting stuck while drilling is suspended, is water down the drilling mud.
Re: Casing program...
The 30" conductor has been set...
The 20" surface casing has been set...
A 13 3/8" intermediate casing string has been set...
A 9 5/8" intermediate casing string has not yet been set...
A 5 1/2" production casing string will be set when the well has reached "total depth" and coring and logging runs have been completed...
Production casing sometimes doubles as production tubing, but usually production tubing is installed inside the production casing (to facilitate "workovers" in the future).
Yes geopressure, I was wrong!... The other wells that will be drilled from this drilling pad will not be side-tracked from within this one... They will be using "deviation drilling" from completely separate (albeit nearby) wells...
"Several wells can be drilled from the same drilling pad using deviation drilling. The wells can be as close together as 10 ft (3 m). This leaves a significantly smaller footprint in environmentally sensitive areas. It also saves money by greatly decreasing the distance the drilling rig has to be moved before drilling each well. After the wells have been completed and put into production, the drilling pad is called a production pad and is often protected by a fence."
(Nontechnical Guide to PETROLEUM Geology, Exploration, Drilling & Production
Third Edition, Norman J. Hyne, Ph.D.)
No production casing will be set until the drilling is completed...
http://www.rigzone.com/training/insight.asp?insight_id=333
The "kick-off point" will probably be 1665 meters (bottom of the 13 3/8" casing string) in order to have enough room for the production tubing from all the wells drilled at this site.
For the same reason that the insiders didn't.

The rig will not be moved, but new wells will be drilled in different directions from the same location to target specific reservoirs for production... This will be done by using the existing well down to a certain depth called the "kick-off point" and then it will be "side-tracked" from there.

The reason they don't know exactly how deep they are going to drill, is because they don't know the exact thickness of the sedimentary rock layers that they plan to drill through (because no other wells have been drilled in the area).

It is customary for geologists to use local names for certain rocks in sedimentary basins world-wide... (Austin Chalk, Bartlesville Sandstone, etc.)
Hydrocarbons are molecules formed primarily by carbon and hydrogen atoms.
Crude oil and natural gas are composed of hydrocarbon molecules. (Hyde and HC)
Permeability is a measure of the ease with which a fluid flows through a rock. The units are millidarcys or darcys.
Water is usually brine, or ancient seawater that has more salt than the 35 parts per thousand of salinity that seawater has.
The meaning of the colors depends on the software. There are a multitude of computer programs in use throughout the petroleum industry.

BEER SHEVA, MID JURASSIC, L. HAIFA/ZOHAR, etc. are simply geological names of layers of sedimentary rock.
