I'm holding some 8/21 expiry calls, and am pretty deep red. I'm not liking how speculative they are anymore but do you think they could have another major catalyst by August?
What's your entry price?
What does this mean?
Not sure... The supply glut for flower in Canada is an issue as far as margins o. Mass production go. Aurora it seems is focusing more on their medical market as well as oversees markets. Trimming assets that might not be as profitable go improve their balance sheet. Seems like a good time to buy for me.
They also have capital in the form of contractual agreements with companies all over the world
Ive seen this interpreted as management responding to the floundering market. They are cutting back spending by freeing up some cash. The market In Canada has been stifled by legislation but won't be for much longer. They're medical sales and over seas sales have only grown over the last year.
From my perspective. That's people pushing their short positions. You should always buy when there is blood in the water. And in this case he is right. ACB has too much infrastructure, and revenue streams to go to 0. Worst case is they get bought out and we get a decent premium on our shares.
Diageo
This is now a profitable medical marijuana producer, the first in the world, at the forefront of a burgeoning new industry. With every leap towards legalization dilution becomes less and less relevant. Investing against dilution for long term is just betting against the company’s performance.
Yes I totally agree. I just don’t think one can actually predict what the price is going to do when. Highly unpredictable stock.
That is what we call speculation.
This is what we call speculation.
Based on what. The strong buy rating from Jefferies? The 15 dollar price target?
The bill read that banks are not penalized for financing marijuana companies. It doesnt bar international agreements. Foreign companies often get financig from US banks so im sure why you think this wont benefit Canadian companies.
Of course it will. This is one step that will encourage US investors to make partnerships, and it will make any activity taking place in the US easier to finance. This news will be a boon for the whole sector.
https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2019-03-28/house-committee-approves-marijuana-banking-bill
House financial judiciary committee approves a bill to give MJ companies more access to banks. Get ready for another run up.
Nooo, they are undervalued. Future growth can be priced in yet this market in unprecedented.
Hah!
I’m glad you got in a good laugh this morning! It seems to me that you all are arguing semantics... the chart can predict minor technical movements pretty well usually. Call it over sold, call it a normal pull back, call it chicken fried rice.
The overall sector performance (dictated by various factors including MMs, charts, press releases) along with fundamental indicators is showing that this is a short pullback to be followed by significant upside in the next few months and years. Based on how this sector behaves we can all expect the ride up to be bumpy and filled with dips and runs.
People are still seeking lower entry points. Some time soon momentum will pick up
Im not sure if you be able to sell the crop, since it would have been grown illegally. As far as I know most cannabis is tracked see to sale.
I am patiently awaiting the day that the cannabis sector changed from a high risk emerging industry into a global revenue powerhouse of well established blue chip companies.
To clarify i think all of the headwinds after aurora and aphria up listed were sort of irrational market behavior. These guys are nearly guaranteed to be industry leaders in a huge global industry at this point. They are already penetrating global markets including the US. I guess the risk tolerance of the market is just low right now
Does anyone else find it odd that stocks like APHA and ACB as well as others have seen such headwinds? They have all been rated strong buys for years by multiple agencies, and they have all been growing very rapidly.
Im gunna slap an ask on my next pay day
Everyone here is freaking out over these minor swings on day trading activity. This stock is still otc and highly speculative. The odds of having a break neck run up are very low. That being said this is a hemp beer company that is in its infancy. If you can afford to be patient and accumulate until this market actually develops and this company become established with profits or gets bought you should make good money. Stop stressing and splitting hairs about daily movement
Daily smoker for 8 years or so here. Have a good job and more in savings than most people my age. Prohibition is a crime against humanity. It’ll end soon.
I think this stock is kind of like the major LP’s in 2016/2015.. it has a huge potential for growth and will be a big company but the market has not yet caught onto the hemp rush yet even though it has been legalized. Seems like this stock along with some other hemp stocks is waiting to come under the focus of the press and the consumers to make big moves
They rejected the deal...
Every broadcast media network is essentially controlled by the same private interest. If you get your info from broadcast news and twitter you are a glutton for deceit. Cheers all
I think it might be fair to assume he or she is an avid watcher of CNN.
Yes, thank you.
Im confused. Have you not read the analysis by citron, scotia bank, reuters etc? All of these independent agencies have said that they did not overpay. They compared the acquisition to various other acquisitions in the cannabis space. It just happens that VIc was invested in both companies. Perhaps he just made a good strategic investment

This can be a huge catalyst for the entire mj sector. Even that this bill is being put forth is pretty big.
Apologies but it looked to me like someone replied to you citing the conclusions of scotia bank and other agencies like citron. Then you posted the article after your inquiry was given clarification. Didnt mean any offense just figured you were raising fear to short. Basically the short report was disproven by various individual ratings agencies with feet on the ground. Dont have links but im not lying.
If he is he missed his put opportunity off the most recent high.
Dude you are like months behind
Eh maybe we wont close green, but the sector is slowing down the momentum should change again soon.
We will end green today.
Yea this sector is an experienced trader’s wet dream. I however am pretty new to trading, and work a day job. I have only repositioned twice over three years of holding and taking profits here and there. Good for anyone who has been trading the dips masterfully.
