You're showing a lot of class today surfca.
No more than those who chose to remove valid posts that did NOT violate TOS.
Got to use up my posts.
Let me think here. I know it hs to be something that praises NVEI....
Let me think here. Seven years....Seven years. Hmmm.
Times up. Can't find anything.
Lol,
Good point yank.
Seven years from now these people will still be waiting for their ship to come in. Problem is that it already has and it's name is the S.S. Outrageous Salaries and it docked at the officers' homes.
Surfca, One thought on why the payoff we newsworthy is that it is one of the triggering devices in order to get the FPGA released and sent out for evaluation by the two Teleco's.
Another one could be that they wanted to do that in order to expediate any financing deals that may be pending. (I kind of doubt this one as they can simply open up the books on that one).
There could be any number of reasons why the PR was released, but I'm sticking with my first thought on this one as it is the one that makes the most sense. Plus it lets us as shareholders know that progress is being made in a positive direction.
Just a few thoughts,
Pengy
We'll see Pengy. Take care.
On a side note, isn't is amuzing that the post that you so eloquently addressed was removed by the IHUB sensors?
I guess that speaks volumes about the intelligence level and honesty of those people.
In short, NVEI does not own a single piece of IP outright. Nothing. Nada. That's not new? How about a show of hands...Who here thought NVEI actually owned *something*?
These revelations suddenly reminded me of something from way back in the Siliwood/NVXE days.
We were told about NVXE's 3d camera lens and the impression given was that it was OWNED by Siliwood/NVXE. It was only years later that it was stated that it was developed and owned by some guy (forgot his name at present, it WAS 7 years ago)and to this day I don't understand exactly what NVXE's REAL association was with the damn thing.
Whether Ray and Brad are worth their salaries is still to be determined in my opinion. If they produce, then they were worth it. If they don't then they weren't. But they get to keep it anyway. Nice gig. And Ray was risking his friends, etc. when he was selling a future in 3D movies, then New Wheel technologies? I'm not saying that Ray doesn't value his freinds, but he wasn't selling them RIM technology at the time. He didn't even know it existed. It didn't. What happened to all that cutting edge 3D movie technology anyway?
Ray doesn't give a crap about anybody but himself. He not only risked his friends, he lost quite a few thanks to his 3d bullspit.
I believe in value that both Brad and Ray bring to the table and what point is served by jewing down compensation 50% or whatever so we feel good or punish someone.
Heck, I bet they believe they are worth twice what they are collecting from shareholders right now.
That's the funniest thing I heard in months....
Don,
lol. Thought you were kidding about the imbibing.(sp?)
Let's see...I've been a shareholder for nearly 7 years and you want to know about the lies from management?
Do you have a free month?
{i]Oh, and don't get ticked at me, that was just meant to lighten you guys up...stop and smell the roses for crying out loud! So a bunch of you are mad because your investment is in the toilet, and you think we have been screwed here? Well for crying out loud, TAKE IT LIKE A MAN! Remember, you bought it, and I doubt anyone held a gun to your head...
(Disclaimer: This post was made under the influence of 3 gin and tonics)
Best,
Don
With all due respect Don, none of them (us) expect to be lied to from management. The minute that happened, it no longer is a simple matter of "oh well nobody held a gun to head."
iamshzzam, Your post is right on the money.
Some of these guys will never be satisfied, and I am assuming that they would want to be satisfied in the first place. They do seem to have a problem finding the "SELL" button.
deeba
Congrats on yet another rather ignorant post. I'm guessing here, but pushing the sell button at this point would be fruitless, especially when so many of them didn't sell up to now based on what turned out to be the usual blathering of management of NVEI.
Seven years....nothing changes.
By the way austin, you seem to forget this important fact. You, or they as you put it, have not lost a dime on this stock, until you sell, no matter what the current share price is. If you can find the will to hang in there, you will not loose a single penny.
deeba
Oh paleeze. That kind of comment isn't even worthy of an RB post.
Long time no hear Ben. Congrats on the award.
Surf
Don,
So sorry to hear that. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
There was never a day in Gods creation that i ever praised Ray.I did listen to the tech story was impressed and when assured by Ray that the funding was a done deal bought in.This major lie along with the other grabage this man told me along with others IMHO labels him a 1ST CLASS CROOK.John Howell another one.How many believed the story about his son putting his big bonus into NVEI etc.Along with those famous e-mails John sent everyone puts him in the same class. One good thing about John, who used his "born again faith" to sucker people,HE WILL BURN IN HELL, that he can take to the bank.Brad, just a blind man, looking for a pay check i hope.Otherwise, he to stands side by side with the weesel Ray.
Lol, sounds awfully familiar. I remember saying similar things years ago. But I was attacked for saying it.
If there's one thing to be realized is that you should NEVER allign yourself with bible thumpers. Just look at all those conmen masquerading as clergy on television. The minute the thumpers showed up, it spelled the end.
im glad to see others admit their contact with or not with management! i wish all to call BRAD, to me that will spark truth and disclosure.
No, it will spark more of what this company has been doing for 7 years. Prince Brad is only as good as King Ray and those of us who've been here that long know what that means.
i would like to know, and maybe everyone here at this forum would like to know.
who has called and talked to brad ketch?
i can say i have, who else has?
my point being is, that facts are being made up for the sake just stiring the pot, and not from creditable conversations.
i say people should call to get the truth out of brad.
I think you're missing the point. Management's "facts" are less reliable than the scuttlebutt here.
Bill,
As usual I'm inclined to agree with you. Do you feel as old as I do?
WHP: Would the revenue for your company make Microsoft happy if that was their revenue. RIM isn't 3M or Microsoft or any other similar company. The movie revenue is significant compared to what they projected so it seems silly to me to compare it to a totally different type of company.
Significant to what they projected? How so?
Today I had an hour to kill and I reread most of the posts from the past year or so.
One thing I realized is that NVEI never changes. Failed mergers, failed acquisitions, change name, bogus promises, reverse split to get on Nasdaq and then rescind the application after taking 3/4's of our shares, change leadership (except Ray), more failed mergers, change of leadership (except old Ray), more failed acquisitions, issue more shares, change name........
Yep, same old joke.
Mark. You said........
For starters there is NO valid excuse. You just don't take people shares for a reason and then renege on that reason. Period. End of Story.
That answer tells me everything I need to know about this conversation!
Excel
I think you appear to be seeing my old points....
Brad confirmed that we are waiting on the movie to get out of the way and once that occurs things will start rolling the way we want it to.
They ALWAYS have an excuse....Seven years of excuses.
Greeting CJ,
How've ya been? Still involved with these guys I see. We'll never learn...Take care.
Unbelievable response from BK! How little money spent on the tech this year, huge salaries, give-way shares to "consultants" and he's concerned about a few thousand dollars for the name change because he wants to spend it on the tech.
Does he really expect someone to believe this? Probably better not to respond at all.
I, too, thought that was funny. Perhaps management can cut back to a more reasonable salary for their "hard" work...like $50,000 a year.....
With all due respect, it is not without merit posting concerns as a shareholder. IMO it is better doing it here. Calling management individually achieves nothing but pep talks.
However when concerns are being distributed via these boards (and yes Raging Bull), management tends to worry about losing a lot more than the 1 or 2 that call on the phone.
This company has been leading shareholders on for the entire nearly SEVEN YEARS I've been a shareholder....it never changes.
Brady,
Well written post. It could have been mine from a few years ago.
Nothing ever changes at NVXE/NVEI. If they would have ever completed the mergers/acquisituions they always blather about, there would be only one public company left....NVEI.
miler,
Unfortunately you are correct. That is NVXE/NVEI's M.O. and always has been.
Loved those officer paycuts, however they should have been cut by 75%.....
Hope they have alot of ducks.
If you are waiting for NVXE to line up their ducks....those ducks will die from old age.
Our definitions of not having to wait too long diverge. After being invested in NVI for 7 years - another 18 months seems like an eternity.
Bill
Hard to believe we've been here 7 years huh Bill? lol
staying at a single company for life as an employee does nothing for anyone anymore.
the more you move around the more people you know,
the more jobs you've done the more experience you get.
the more experience the more money you make.
only reason you'ld stay at a company for life is, if it's your company!
There is a large difference between LIFE and staying for more than 6 MONTHS.
BTW. Putting up Brads resume shows he has been in the industry. Yep. But I suggest you count the months he stayed at the same job. Anyone do that yet? Interesting.
I just got done counting all those "weeks" he stayed at his jobs.
He changes jobs as much as Jethro Bodine.
In regards to the recent vote to authorize additional shares.
I posted, "I am concerned about the authorized shares being presented with the premise being, that they were to be used, primarily, as collateral for securing a loan from Mercatus. Now, from what I understand, it doesn't look like the Mercatus deal is going to happen. What are they going to do with all those shares? Does this have shades of the "reverse-split for getting on NASDAQ" on it? This deal was too "iffy" to suit me. That's why I voted against it. Please don't consider this a "bash". It's just something, as shareholders, we need to be concerned about. It's our company and our money."
sauseishot responded, "Austin I asked Brad that very question and it was brough up in the s/h meeting question and answer period. Brad's answer: the shares won't be used if the Mercatus loan does not take place."
If this is the case, we need to keep an eye on those shares, if not used as collateral for securing a Mercatus loan, and hold Ketch accountable. Further dilution MUST be kept to a minimum and be used with prudence.
Extremely good advice concerning keeping your eyes on those shares. However, no doubt Ray will come up with some stupid excuse as to why they'll HAVE to use them, and that "98%" that voted to allow the creation of them will again fall for their crap and praise the decision.
I played golf with Brad last September, and Ray last Sunday. Both were honest in their strokes on every hole. They took penalties when they earned them and didn't improve the lie of their ball. If someone is trustworthy in the little things, they often are in the big things.
Now I've heard everything.....
OT
year,
We'll keep positive thoughts and prayers here as well.
austin,
I don't see them ever getting there. Just keep those shares printing......
Ernie,
I'm still a shareholder (unfortunately). And I always reappear whenever management pulls their patented "we need more shares to pay our salaries" or "let's do a reverse split so we can get on Nasdaq" crap.
They never change.
austin01, someone who wasn't aware of the demise of the proposed BBX exchange asked a question about this. The response is that the eventual target is Nasdaq, and that the company is following all Nasdaq rules and "acting like a Nasdaq company"j with that in mind. I believe the share price is the only thing at this point keeping Rim from a Nasdaq listing application.
Boy, does that sound familiar.......
First you should learn how to address your post so people know who you are talking to.
Prove it? Prove what? If you really want me to post the list of NVXE-NVEI failures over the past 7 years, I will. But I'd hardly think it would help build shareholder confidence.
excel,
Your votes echoed mine EXACTLY. It is uncanny!
