This message board is intended to help investors who are new to microcaps find the essential free resources needed to evaluate investments in these small and underfollowed stocks and learn how to do their own due dilligence where .

Many investors get their first introduction to the markets through some hot penny stock spam, or similar scammy tactics that revolve around the hot blockchain and cannabis stocks. Similarly, I got my first introduction to the market nearly 20 years ago when the dot com bubble was still inflating, the reason I persisted through bubbles and crashes was thanks to the kindness of a few kind strangers who helped educate and inform me on the fundamentals 0f investing in equities in public markets, thanks to their help, I have earned a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 21% over the past sixteen years and my best year I had growth of 468% in 2003.

You should never really buy a stock until you at least know:
- The market capitalization of the company (# of shares outstanding x price) and the potential dilution from issued convertible notes, options, and warrants;
- The amount of shares insiders own;
- The company's basic financial parameters (Income Statement revenues, margins, earnings or losses; Balance Sheet: Cash, receivables, short & long term debts, and accounts payable).

Addmitedly, these are very basic guidelines, but it never fails to amaze me just how many people will throw money at something without achieving this basic fundamental understanding of what they are investing in.

To begin with, you should check your preferred finance website and build watchlists of the companies that interest you.  Yahoo! Finance has been the #1 rated Finance website for a long time and for good reason, they provide the most free data on stocks of all sizes and from many different markets around the world.
