As per registration there are 38,520,915 CVR's issued.

The 8-K states

"As a result of the Viking IPO, the Company will make a cash payment to the holders of contingent value rights under the TR Beta Contingent Value Rights Agreement, dated January 27, 2010 (as amended, the "TR Beta CVR") and the General Contingent Value Rights Agreement, dated January 27, 2010 (as amended, and together with the TR Beta CVR, the "CVR Agreements"). Pursuant to the CVR Agreements, the Company estimates that the aggregate cash payment will be approximately $3.3 million, subject to adjustment in the event the underwriters exercise their option to purchase additional shares to cover over-allotments, if any. The payment is expected to be made on or about January 1, 2016. "

if you divide cash payment/CVR's it comes to $0.086. So each holder of the CVR will get approximately that amount by Jan , 1 2016.

Got a few different names for the ticker:

Not sure why it's got different names out. Some googling shows Ligand might have acquired Metabasis about 5 years ago. I'm still doing DD but if anyone wants to pitch in, that'd be nice. Trying to find out why it spiked today too, might keep going or just crash. Opinions?

Here's todays activity: mid morning it was up around 400% to around 075 with just 350K in volume at the time. Within 30 minutes and only another 150k in volume it spiked to 15 cents for about a 900% rise suggesting that any little buying sends LGNZZ soaring. Then thru the afternoon it came down a bit and ultimately closed at 06.

Not sure. The main Company (LGND) has news almost daily that does show up under this ticker also (at least on Etrade) it does and there was some news out today regarding the parent Co LGND of finishing up with an IPO. NOt sure if that somehow sparked this move or not.
