Mike Rowe Contrasts Today’s Liberal College Campuses with Trade Schools Where He is “Pleased to Report, No One is Calling for the Extermination of Jews”
by Margaret Flavin Apr. 23, 2024 2:00 pm
Mike Rowe, the former host of the popular TV show “Dirty Jobs,” has a way of telling it like it is.
He has consistently criticized America’s dependence on higher education as the only path to success.
In 2008, Rowe created the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to launch a national PR campaign for skilled labor.
The website shares, “America has become slowly but undeniably disconnected from the most fundamental elements of civilization—food, energy, education, and the very nature of work itself.”
“Over the last 30 years, America has convinced itself that the best path for the most people is an expensive, four-year degree. Pop culture has glorified the “corner office job” while unintentionally belittling the jobs that helped build the corner office. As a result, our society has devalued any other path to success and happiness. Community colleges, trade schools, and apprenticeship programs are labeled as “alternative.” Millions of well-intended parents and guidance counselors see apprenticeships and on-the-job training opportunities as “vocational consolation prizes,” best suited for those not cut out for the brass ring: a four-year degree. The push for higher education has coincided with the removal of vocational arts from high schools nationwide. And the effects of this one-two punch have laid the foundation for a widening skills gap and massive student loan debt.”
Rowe’s concern with what is happening on college campuses, where the focus on a woke agenda has supplanted a robust education meant to create productive members of society, has never been more apparent.
In the last several days, protests have become even more violent, including assaults on Jewish students with chaos at Columbia University in New York City.
Protests have occurred at campuses across the country.
Rowe took X to share his concerns and contrast that chaos with what is happening at trade schools.
“For a guy who runs a foundation that sends young people to trade schools all over America – trade schools where I’m pleased to report, no one is calling for the extermination of Jews – today’s headlines are once again offering another excellent reason to consider redirecting whatever financial support you might earmark for the Ivy League, to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation. Why? Because the Ivy League has truly lost its mind.
Consider the latest madness at Columbia University, where the president, Minochuhe Shafik, has announced a new round of remote learning – effective immediately – in response to a noisy rabble of thugs and bullies calling for the eradication of Israel.
If I had a kid at Columbia, I’d be livid.
It’s simply mind-boggling that the president of this university would rather consign her students to another crucible of remote learning, than permanently expel the protesters. I mean, seriously, what does it take to get expelled from Columbia? These creeps are on camera, literally screaming into the faces of Jewish students.
“They yelled at us to go back to Poland, said we have no culture, and chanted, ‘Strike, strike Tel Aviv,” said one terrified student. Followed by, “Burn Tel Aviv to the ground,” “Go Hamas, we love you, we support your rockets, too.”
In a now-infamous image, one demonstrator appeared before a group of counter-protesters holding Israeli and American flags with a sign pointing in their direction that read, “Al-Qasam’s next targets.”
That’s what you get for $68,000 a year at Columbia – an administration who cowers in the face of thugs and bullies, and a university president who would rather make your kids try to learn off campus, than take a truly hard line with those students calling for the murder of Jews.
For the love of God, expel them. Calling for murder is not protected speech.
In the meantime, mikeroweWORKS is accepting applications for our next round of work ethic scholarships. Deadline is the end of the month. It’s worth noting that the careers we’re training people for cannot be taught, or preformed, remotely. It’s also worth mentioning that we accept donations year-round and spend the money we take in with great discretion.
You can apply for a scholarship, or donate, at http://mikeroweWORKS.org.
For a guy who runs a foundation that sends young people to trade schools all over America – trade schools where I’m pleased to report, no one is calling for the extermination of Jews – today’s headlines are once again offering another excellent reason to consider redirecting…

Japanese study finds mRNA injections cause cancer
By Rhoda Wilson on April 19, 2024
A newly published Japanese study confirms UK Professor Angus Dalgleish’s concerns about mRNA injections causing cancer. After the findings of the study were published, Australian Professor Ian Brighthope has classified the injections as class one carcinogens.
More than a year ago, Professor Dr. Angus Dalgleish, a renowned oncologist practising in the UK, first published his concerns that his patients with melanoma were relapsing after several years of being in remission.
“I could find none of the usual causes but on further investigation, I realised that they had all had a booster covid vaccine between three weeks and three months before their cancer’s resurgence, the time in which their immune repression fails,” he wrote in The Conservative Woman on Monday.
After raising the alarm that the vaccine boosters could induce cancer relapse, he became aware of literally dozens of people who had not had cancer before developing leukaemia and lymphomas after the boosters.
In November 2022, Prof. Dalgleish wrote an open letter to the editor-in-chief of the medical journal The BMJ, urging the journal that harmful effects of Covid injections be “aired and debated immediately” because cancers and other diseases are rapidly progressing among “boosted” people.
A few weeks later, he reported that other oncologists had contacted him to say they were seeing the same phenomenon of the recurrence of cancer in many melanoma patients who had been stable for long periods.
“Since pointing this out publicly I have been contacted by many physicians and patients from all over the globe saying that they are not only seeing the same phenomenon but also an increase in other cancers especially colorectal, pancreatic, renal and ovarian,” he wrote at the beginning of this week.
Many people had covid vaccines against their will, Prof. Dalgleish said. “Others gave in to the bullying of the NHS and GPs who hounded them with texts and calls (which I myself received regularly) about the importance of having a booster even though they presented no evidence that it could be beneficial.”
Adding, “Having worked in vaccine development for a decade I remembered an adage that if a vaccine needs a booster, it doesn’t work!”
In his latest article, Prof. Dalgleish highlighted several sources of evidence that have proved his concerns to be justified. One source being a paper from Japan published last week.
“It was available on a pre-publication server last year but now it has been peer-reviewed and published in Cureus. Titled ‘Increased age adjusted cancer mortality after the third mRNA lipid nanoparticle vaccine dose during the covid pandemic in Japan’,” he said.
The results are astounding. It shows there was a deficit for all cancers in the year 2020 when the first and second covid waves occurred. In 2021 there was an excess of deaths of 2.2 per cent and a 1.1 per cent increase in cancers. However, by 2022 the excess deaths had increased 9.6 per cent and cancer by 2.1 per cent. This paper was completed and published before the 2023 figures release which will almost certainly be much worse. What is remarkable here is that we are talking mortality, that is deaths from cancer not incidence of it.
So what is the cause of this sudden increase? It is revealed in the title of the paper!
Massive cancer deaths study vindicates my warnings over covid boosters, The Conservative Woman, 15 April 2024
In an article published on Wednesday, retired Australian medical practitioner Professor Ian Brighthope highlighted the same Japanese paper and said:
Today, on behalf of my professional friends and medical colleagues, I declare the mRNA vaccines to be class one carcinogens. mRNA is also a broad-spectrum mutagen. mRNA must be banned internationally.
mRNA is a class one carcinogen, Ian Brighthope, 17 April 2024
He then went on to explain what carcinogens are, the process of carcinogenicity and how carcinogens are classified before inviting readers to make up their own minds about how carcinogenic mRNA injections are based on the findings of the Japanese study.
https://expose-news.com/2024/04/19/japanese-study-finds-mrna-injections-cause-cancer/
I love it and I'm send this via email to my friends, dems and reps alike. I'll see what kind of response I get from both.

The GI Bill gave us a generation of engineers that made America Great, especially the defense industry during the Cold War.

In Baltimore County High School Boasting a 63% Non-White Population, Violence Is So Bad White Teacher Never Wants to Return to His Job
Paul Kersey • April 21, 2024 • 700 Words
So what is life like at a high school boasting a 63 percent non-white population (48 percent black, 36 percent white)? As one white teacher stated, after continuous fights involving black students, a place where teachers are scared. [Baltimore County teacher ‘scared’ to be in school, violence taking a toll, Fox Baltimore, April 17, 2024]:
Towson, Md. (WBFF) — A Baltimore County teacher says Loch Raven High School is at a breaking point following a string of recent violent brawls caught on camera.
Project Baltimore spoke with Steven Kronberg, a teacher at Loch Raven High School, who was injured in one of the recent incidents.
“There are students who walk around school, and they don’t feel comfortable, they don’t feel safe,” explained Kronberg. “I would say scared.”
“Are there teachers that are scared?” Asked Project Baltimore’s Chris Papst.
“Absolutely,” replied Kronberg.
For 24 years, Kronberg has taught high school social studies.
“I never thought when I became a teacher that it was possible for me to be in such an environment,” said Kronberg. “I didn’t know it existed.”
Twelve of those years, he’s spent at Loch Raven High School in Baltimore County where he says student violence is out of control.
“Something has to be done,” explained Kronberg.
Every few days, Kronberg says, there’s a major fight at the school.
On the morning of April 9th, a massive brawl broke out in the classroom next to Kronberg’s. When he heard the screaming, he ran over to help.
“It’s a natural instinct to help kids that are being harmed,” said Kronberg.
Upwards of eight students, maybe more, were involved. It was pure chaos, and Kronberg was right in the middle of it.
“I’m trying to get kids to separate from one another,” said Kronberg. “Unsuccessfully, I should add.”
As the fight intensified, Kronberg fell to the floor. For 16 seconds, the students remained on top of him, fighting each other. He was helpless.
“I remember being on the floor looking up and the fight was still going on,” Kronberg told Project Baltimore.
The fight, according to Kronberg, was the third major fight last week at Loch Raven High School. Project Baltimore obtained video of all three incidents. One of the fights occurred in the school’s main office. In the video, the school’s assistant principal is seen slamming into the front desk and falling to the ground. Kronberg said a third fight took place in a hallway with two girls violently attacking each other.
“The students who come to school to get an education, they’re the biggest victims here because they’re not getting it,” Kronberg told Project Baltimore. “And the students that are taking away that right from them, there has to be another placement where they can get their right to an education but without disrupting everybody else.”
Over the last ten school years, according to state data, Loch Raven’s suspensions and expulsions have steadily increased. In 2014, the school had just 39 suspensions and expulsions. By 2022, the number skyrocketed to 231. Last school year, there were 184.
“It’s incredibly disruptive,” said Kronberg.
Some students at Loch Raven High School are struggling. Last school year, 272 students took the state math exam. The state redacted the data, because so few students scored proficient. The results show that 5% or fewer students scored proficient. That means, 95 percent or more of the students at Loch Raven who took the test were not proficient in math.
Kronberg told Project Baltimore there is a solution to this problem. He says violent students have to be removed from the school and enrolled in alternative education, such as virtual learning or home schooling. The students involved in the fights, according to Kronberg, will likely be suspended for a few days and come right back to school. But when that happens, he says he won’t be there.
“I’m going to take some time off and try to take care of myself,” said Kronberg.
He tells Project Baltimore that if he has a choice he never wants to go back there.
Daycare centers for teens. That’s all this story represents, with white teachers little more than glorified jail keepers for a population incapable of scholastic work. This article represents a window into a world responsible white parents try and ensure their white children never encounter, but unfortunately, in a nation running out of white kids, such opportunities are becoming perilously small.

Georgia’s Gabe Sterling Goes Silent and Is “In Hiding” Since Georgia State Election Board Finds Violations in Second 2020 Election Investigation
by Jim Hoft Apr. 23, 2024 8:00 am
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Gabe Sterling chief operating officer (COO) in the office of the Georgia Secretary of State.
The people were right. The 2020 Election results in Georgia never should have been certified. The 2020 election in Georgia was stolen. It’s a fact.
Georgia’s Gabe Sterling who was involved in the certification of the stolen 2020 Election claimed that there were no issues with the Georgia election results. This was false and is false. Even Governor Kemp agreed that there were issues with the 2020 Election.
Georgia citizen Joe Rossi looked into the 2020 Election and the recounts after the election and he found numerous issues with the election results in Fulton County.
After the 2020 Election, a Risk Limiting Audit (RLA) was carried out by Georgia’s Secretary of State’s (SOS’s) Office that included numerous errors.
Thanks to the efforts of Georgian Joseph Rossi, thirty-six errors were found in the Fulton County data in the RLA report posted on Georgia’s Secretary of State’s website.
Rossi went after those in authority requesting that they review his data. He was turned down and ignored numerous times. But eventually after a series of events, Rossi was able to get his work showing numerous errors in front of members of Governor Kemp’s office.
As a result of Rossi’s work and Kemp’s team’s investigation, the Georgia State Elections Board (SEB) initiated an investigation into the Fulton County data from the RLA report. This investigation was labeled SEB2021-181. Eventually the SEB identified violations and errors in the recounts of the 2020 Election in Fulton County.
Another complaint related to Fulton County was filed that specifically called out 3,125 duplicate ballot counts and 17,852 votes counted without corresponding ballot images. These ballots should never have been included in the election. This complaint resulted in the creation of investigation SEB2023-25. This investigation is complete and the results of this investigation will be presented to the SEB on May 7, 2023 per a letter recently received by Joe Rossi. This complaint has been categorized by the Board as “violations found.”
Despite numerous issues that should have prevented the 2020 Election from being certified, the election was certified and then the SOS’s office lied about the accuracy of the recounts in Georgia.
[Remember that the 2020 results were certified for Biden three days after the election after he overcame President Trump’s 200,000 vote lead on election night to steal the election by less than 12,000 votes in Georgia. – See The Steal – Volume II: The Impossible Occurs for more information.
Note also that that the investigations noted above were independent of two court cases that occurred in Georgia after the 2020 Election. At least three individuals involved in a recount that occurred in the state after the election identified 148,000 ballots that appeared to have been created by a machine and to be fraudulent. Fulton county and others in the state are still preventing access to these ballots even though the Georgia Supreme Court ruled that the plaintiffs have the right to audit these ballots.
In addition, a separate audit of voting machines was initiated after the 2020 Election which was finally released years later which showed that the systems used in Georgia had security issues and bad actors could hack into them and change the results of an election.
And, we recently found out that there was no signature validation for tens of thousands of votes counted in Fulton County. A Fulton County Commissioner voted not to certify the election based on this issue.]
Since being notified of the second investigation classified as “violations found”, Rossi requested that Gabe Sterling provide an explanation for his comments and email responses where he claimed that there were no issues in the 2020 Election in Georgia.
This is Rossi’s 11th email to Sterling:
After being behind the efforts to certify the uncertifiable election in 2020 and getting caught with not one, but two investigations into the 2020 Election results, and two court cases identifying thousands of issues with election results, and uncovering that no signature validations occurred in Fulton County for over 100,000 votes, Gabe Sterling is nowhere to be found.
Gabe is hiding.

EU politician lambasts Republicans who voted ‘nay’ on Ukraine bill and labels them ‘traitors’
By Olivia Murray
Call me crazy, but I’d say that the American lawmakers who voted against handing billions of dollars to a corrupt foreign regime so its politicians could ostensibly wage war were doing what was in the best interest of the American people, but apparently Guy Verhofstadt, a Belgian Eurocart has a different take; here are the details, from a Breitbart News report out yesterday:
A leading Eurocrat in Brussels branded Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives who voted against President Joe Biden’s demands to send billions more of American taxpayer dollars to fund the war in Ukraine as ‘traitors’.
One of the most ardent supporters of the war in Ukraine, former Belgian Prime Minister and current member of the European Parliament, Guy Verhofstadt beamed: ‘America is back where it should be: Supporting Freedom.’
However, the cantankerous Eurocrat added: ‘But I will for my life never forget that in the Republican group – the party of Reagan – a majority of 112 traitors voted against!’
I get it that leftist politicians certainly aren’t the epitome of intellect—Guam is “apparently” at-risk for capsizing, the moon is “apparently” gaseous, and “apparently” it’s almost impossible for humans to get near the sun—but seriously, how can they continue to attach the “traitor” label to political figures who, when in the rarest of instances, act in accordance with their national oaths of loyalty and allegiance?
Do any of these dopes understand the definition of “treason”? Because it sure doesn’t seem like it. Now, Cornell Law School isn’t the most reliable source—the institution completely bungled explaining the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution—but nonetheless, this is at least a decent working definition for “treason”:
Treason refers to the betrayal of one’s own country by attempting to overthrow the government through waging war against the state or materially aiding its enemies.
Again, call me crazy, but out-of-control debt-spending is an act of war, not just against the American people footing the bill and taking the financial hits that trillions in the hole brings, but against every sovereign nation forced to trade in Federal Reserve dollars; D.C. politicians voting “yea” on any spending bill are complicit in bankrupting not only the world, but the nation they’re supposed to be serving too.
They pass the bill, and immediately whip out the Ukrainian flags in the “American” Congress; this scene below seems more treasonous than any “nay” vote:
“The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury.” — George Washington pic.twitter.com/XtZenNP7hy
— Olivia Murray (@americaliv1) April 22, 2024
And, to top it all off, the cherry of hypocrisy:
Despite the tough talk from the top Eurocrat, the EU has been accused of failing to live up to its commitments in Ukraine, with President Volodymyr Zelensky claiming at the end of February that the European Union had only managed to deliver 30 per cent [sic] of its pledged artillery shells to Ukraine.
So…what does that make him?

Another day and another plagiarism story out of academia
By Andrea Widburg
Once it emerged that Harvard’s former president, Claudine Gay, was a serial plagiarizer, conservatives started looking for other examples of plagiarizing in the halls of America’s colleges and universities. It turns out that this kind of search is akin to shooting fish in a barrel: You cannot fire without hitting something. The latest case is the DEI official at UCLA’s School of Medicine, an institution that’s completely abandoned itself to the worst excesses of DEI, CRT, and other Democrat madness. And as is so often the case, the culprit is a black woman.
The Daily Wire has the story:
UCLA has a DEI program called “Cultural North Star,” and at the medical school, it is led by Natalie J. Perry. Her official biography says her job is to “embed our aspirational Cultural North Stars [sic] value [sic] in our organizational DNA.” UCLA honored Perry last month for teaching students to “do what’s right,” saying her “empathy and radical listening” are to thank for her “success as an educator and a leader.”
According to a Daily Wire and City Journal investigation, however, Perry’s academic career is based on fraud. Perry has published a single paper, a 2014 Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Virginia about how colleges should create larger DEI programs. An analysis of the paper found it ridden with the worst sort of plagiarism, reproducing large swaths of text directly from several other authors, without citations.
Perry is the latest, not the only. Just looking at Harvard, one finds example after example of plagiarism:
EXCLUSIVE: Harvard racial-studies professor @ChristinaJCross plagiarized multiple passages in her dissertation and at least one other paper, according to a new complaint filed with Harvard’s research integrity office.

— alex byrne (@byrne_a) April 5, 2024
There’s a common thread binding many of these corrupt academics. Most (although not all, as Professor Panigrahy shows) are black women. Indeed, leftists are attacking Christopher Rufo, who has been reviewing dissertations, for being racist because of the many black women he’s exposed as plagiarizers. However, as Rufo explains, the database he and his colleagues are searching includes white and Asian scholars. It’s just the black women who keep popping up as cheaters:
One of the ironies to this accusation is that I have explicitly asked my sources to review the work of white and Asian scholars and, thus far, the verified plagiarism cases have been predominantly from black women. This is not dispositive, nor is it a systematic study, but it is… https://t.co/327zGFmaP8
— Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️ (@realchrisrufo) April 10, 2024
Faced with this unpleasant reality, angry Democrat academics are contending that plagiarism is no longer a crime (just as shoplifting is food liberation, not a criminal act when blacks do it):
Boston University professor argues that copying entire paragraphs verbatim without properly citing the source is “good scientific practice.” Another professor for plagiarism. https://t.co/sESp02OKGz

Naval War College professor wants to create a new category of plagiarism, "petty plagiarism," in order to protect left-wing academics from investigation. They want to redefine the word in real time to protect their ideological racket. It's pure corruption. https://t.co/VBVUIg7LQA
— Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️ (@realchrisrufo) March 22, 2024
Yesterday, I wrote a post about how Democrats have deliberately inculcated sociopathic values into black Americans. I focused generally on criminal activity (I’ve got two more examples—here and here), but nodded to the problem we see with high-profile, college-educated blacks in the media, politics, and academia.
It’s worth pointing out that, at the upper echelons of Democrat-voting blacks, the problem of sociopathy seems to be most deeply rooted in the women. The list of black women who don’t believe the rules should apply to them is seemingly endless of late: Natalie J. Perry, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Joy Reid, Stacey Abrams, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Tiffany Henyard, LaToya Cantrell, and all the academic plagiarists. These women make the rules up as they go along, whether for themselves (i.e., Claudine Gay) or for others (i.e., Joy Reid, who hasn’t violated laws, regulations, or moral standards but insists that they shouldn’t apply to people who look like her.)
I can’t blame any of these women for thinking as they do. They’ve been told that they are double victims of both racism and misogyny, even as they are highly evolved beings who are fully capable of creating any standards that are necessary to rise above the systemic pressures they face. If the pond in which I swam (e.g., the K-12 education system, academia, the entertainment world, and the political world) told me all those things, I would take them to heart, too, and act accordingly.
This is a depressing post, so I’ll leave you with a more uplifting, or at least amusing, approach to plagiarism when it happens on the left, in the form of this 1953 gem from Tom Lehrer about mathematical plagiarism in the Soviet Union:
Unfortunate, but true.

Vivek was right. We need to fire 75% of the federal workforce.
The story I’m passing on relates to the world of insurance and employee benefits. On 4/19, my wife told me she heard on WBBM AM780 Chicago that Illinois was going to eliminate junk insurance (limited benefit plans, limited duration plans) while also eliminating step therapy provisions for prescription drugs (step therapy involves more conservative approaches to prescribing medications before the insurance company will approve an expensive medication), and prior authorization for inpatient psychiatric treatments among many other provisions. This was passed by the Illinois House (overwhelmingly Democrat) where it will go to the Illinois Senate and to Governor J.B. Pritzker’s desk to sign (for those of you in Illinois, you can let your Illinois senator know your opposition to this bill).
Yes, your insurance premiums are about to increase and yes, consumer choice is being taken away.
Did we know about this bill while the legislation was being drafted? No. The Chicago media was silent about this. Nothing on the TV/radio while this was being proposed. Industry and consumer groups weren’t aware of this bill being drafted. Yes, there are posting requirements -- we are so busy managing our lives that we aren’t aware how the government is making our lives more difficult.
Like a thief in the night, Illinois politicians have increased your premiums with no input from the populace.
Ah, but the story continues. You may remember in June 2023 that the Biden administration proposed rules in the Federal Register to eliminate short-duration policies. The comments were overwhelmingly supportive of keeping short-duration policies. President Trump had expanded via executive order the use of short-duration health insurance policies that allowed individuals to be covered for up to 36 months (decided on a state-by-state basis. Indiana allows up to 36 months of short-duration coverage while Illinois allows for 180 days of short-duration coverage).
Well, what do you know? The Federal Register posted on April 3, 2024 regulations that effectively eliminate these policies. I just found out today by way of a trade group that Biden via executive order has taken these policies from the American public -- who should be allowed to decide for themselves whether this is the coverage they desire.
Where were the trade groups and media when this was being considered?
Like a thief in the night, government robbed consumers of choice. Less choice leads to greater cost of a given good/service.
The point here is that our government has become so large, so intrusive that it no longer serves the interests of its citizens. It is so large that the media and trade groups can’t keep up with all of its moving parts.
This story can be replicated throughout countless industries. This is how the Green New Deal was rammed down our throats and proceeded to make us reliant on China for batteries and undermined the auto industry (will auto workers vote this fall for their own demise? Stay posted). Education that moved from excellence to equity. Student loans that are now the responsibility of taxpayers instead of the individual who “benefited” from the education. Our legal system being weaponized against political opponents. Are you okay with this? What are you going to do to reign in government? It starts with voting and making your voice heard -- voting for less government is the solution.
Vivek was right. You know what you have to do this fall. Vote -- and let people know what is really on the line this Presidential election cycle.

Can ‘Get Trump’ Beat Failing Bidenomics?
By Christopher Chantrill
Let us suppose that the best and brightest setting up the Biden regime in 2021 all confidently knew that by the spring of 2024 everything would be copacetic and Bidenomics would prompt a blowout election in 2024 that would consign Trump and Trumpism to the waste heap of history. The inflation would be transitory, the various mega-spending pushes would be nailing down Democrat support, wall-to-wall DEI would have Black support guaranteed for 50 years, the glorious push for NetZero would herald the dawn of a new era led by proud EV-driving virtue-signalers, and as an insurance policy, Donald Trump would be compromised six ways from Sunday by multiple prosecutions featuring Black prosecutors, with a backup from regime heavyweight Jack Smith.
I’d like to suggest that all five strategies are failing.
I’d say that when you gun the M2 money supply by 40 percent in two years, from $15.3 trillion in early 2020 to $21.7 trillion in early 2022, you are starting a prairie fire. Hey, but it was great for a baby-boom retiree like me. My net worth went up 50 percent in the same period. But for the average angry racist White voter it meant two years of shutdown followed by soaring prices and interest rates. I wonder what life has been like for Hispanic roofers and aspiring rappers. Anybody know?
I would say that a mega-spending push is not the best way to right the economy after an inflationary lockdown. Yes, I know that experts agree that FDR’s New Deal saved America after the 1929 Crash and Obama’s stimulus saved America after the 2008 Crash. If you believe those government-funded experts, I have a bridge in Baltimore… Fact is that when you take resources away from funding the most urgent needs of consumers and businesses and venture capitalists you are making things worse. And that is what FDR did in the 1930s and Obama did in the 2010s. Wanna gun the economy? Cut spending and cut tax rates.
I would say that, apart from its disgusting racism, DEI is a strategic mistake. When you hire and promote on the basis of race and sex -- let alone gender orientation -- you are not sending the executive suites your best. Put it this way. Do you think that rich White girl Katherine Maher, she of the woke tweets, is going to turn NPR into a journalistic powerhouse? Or do you think she is just going to recite the narrative and NPR will descend deeper into woke virtue-signaling?
I predict that the energy transition is shaping up as one of the great economic disasters of the ages, right up there with Stalin’s Five-year Plans and Mao’s Great Leap Forward. Right now the Brits are discovering that they don’t have the resources or the skills or the ships to build their offshore wind farms, let alone beef up their electric grid to handle the all-electric load. Just imagine what electricity will cost in the UK at the end of it all. The untold story of the last 200 years is that each invention made things staggeringly cheaper: energy, food, transportation, communication. I remember a three-minute long-distance call costing a couple of bucks back in 1970. Today I can do a video call to anyone in the world on my $99.95 smartphone for free! And it all happened without heroic meetings of world leaders in Davos, Switzerland. I tell you: renewable energy is going to be the biggest economic meltdown since Mao decided to increase crop yields by killing the sparrows.
I suspect that the Biden insurance policy to destroy Trump with multiple prosecutions will be seen, in retrospect, to have been a NetZero. I’m sure that if you are a DEI administrator that listens to NPR it all looks like Justice! But if I am an ordinary American I am wondering what’s with these Black prosecutors running on a platform to Get Trump? What’s with siccing the FBI on Trump’s private residence? And “88 criminal offenses in four criminal cases”? Hello? So I think the whole effort will just confirm everyone in their priors. Except for the uncommitted voters, and who knows where they will come down in November?
Of course, all this low-rent street-fighting occurs in the shadow of the bigger, Rodney Dangerfield issue, that the ordinary middle class “don’t get no respect” from the educated ruling class. The silent majority asked for respect in Nixon’s time, and the Reagan Democrats asked for respect in Reagan’s time. The Contract with America asked for respect in 1994; the Tea Party asked for respect in 2010; the MAGAs asked for respect in 2016.
Today in 2024 the middle class still don’t get no respect. What will the next Dangerfield moment be like? Probably not like the movie Civil War; let’s hope it’s no worse than the Spartacist League vs. the Freikorps, as in post-World War I Germany.
Truth is, nobody knows.

It is Your Economy .. yours, mine, our family, friends and neighbors -- EVERYONE to some degree is touched by the markets and their behavior. So we should be aware of the various mechanisms that make the markets and our economy tick. We live in a new era where politics, rumor, weather and just about anything you can think of effects the markets and our economy in some way, shape or form. Like it or not we are globally tied at the hip and in this new era where the advent of technology and the internet pushes information to the edge of the envelope, we can only hope to keep up with the many challenges ahead and the speed at which they develop. Technology is a double-edged sword and unfortunately can be used for good as well as evil, it just depends on who is holding the sword. This board was created to follow news, markets, stocks, cycles, trends, indicators and most of all to communicate and share ideas. Humor and Cartoons are welcome here, it breaks up the monotony from time to time and I am alays game for a good joke. I enjoy data mining, especially for info that the MSM (Main Stream Media) fail to or are not allowed to report. We must see things from all angles and aspects in order to verify what is true and what is false, basically becoming more atune to separating the wheat from the chaff. Hopefully in the long run this will help us all to make better and more sound decisions. This board is/was basically an information board, but all are welcome to post, (actually I encourage it because looking through another's eyes gives more perspective on issues). We can never learn too much about these ever changing times and the economy at hand.
* I have only a couple of rules and that is if you should post; NO PURE POLITICS or RELIGION and as always expected, please PLAY NICE !!!
>>>
>>>
NOTE: What is meant by "pure politics" as stated in this boards' iBox decriptiion is just that.., it has no real ties to the economy and is mainly a composition of political innuendo. As I assume most of you know, it is difficult at times to separate politics from the economy due to the fact that politics plays a very large part in our everyday lives; be it on an economical, personal or other level altogether. Therefore this has created problems in the discernment of which posts should stay or go due to their leaning too far toward the political side and are slight on economic issues. As hard as my assistants and I try, we cannot please everyone. But we do what we do and want to be fair, we do want what should stay as part of this forums curricular. Everyone has an opinion and/or wants to be heard and I will do whatever I can to help ensure that is what takes place and hopefully most will not feel as though they are being targeted or alienated.
In the end all I can ask is that you be patient if a post of yours has been deleted, yet it has economic undertones that state otherwise and you feel should remain. If you feel you have been wronged - relax, sit back and PM me and I will make a final judgement. I am rather liberal, therefore more times than not I most likely will restore your post if it has merit and/or fallen between the cracks. Things happen or are interpreted differently and sometimes incorrectly, we are human. So do NOT throw a hissy fit nor become a foul mouth fool. Also PM harassment is frowned upon and should carry a level of disciplinary action, but I will leave that up to iHub Admin. Besides all that life is too precious to spend in a tirade. These types of behavior will get you no where except a closer view of the exit.. Treat people as you would like to be treated and we can work through most issues. It all starts with civil dialogue, respect for another's opinion even if not agreed upon. An agreement to disagree is the way I like to see things conclude when minds cannot meld. Just because an agreement cannot be reached does not mean we automatically have to trash another for their views and/or opinions. Let's face it, we all want better, we all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves and we all want to gain an edge in the game of life. This cannot be accomplished without an open mind and a certain level of tolerance for all that speak out.
As a matter of fact I encourage as many of you as possible to post, even if it is just once a month. You don't have to take the world by storm, it could be about something as simple as a neighborhood observation such as more homes up for sale than in months past or how empty the parking lots are at a traditionally known hot spot. Post an article or commentary that hits close to home, test the waters and see if others have seen similar events around the country. We have at our fingertips virtually 100s of libraries of information and cyber chat connections we can use to find out how different aspects of the economy are doing all around the nation. I truly believe we all have a lot to contribute and share and while we all will never see eye to eye on every subject or then again maybe none at all, but different points of view may enhance our own outlook or the way we see and do things. Right or wrong, the world is constantly evolving and technology will begin to pick up speed by leaps and bounds So we could serve each other better if we take what is posted for face value instead of an opportunity to lambaste someone that sees things in a different light than our own preconditioned mindset. When opposing views are met with hostile impositions it is of no service to anyone. I certainly would not want a cult following or a bunch of "yes" men setting the tone for this forum, I want diversity !!! Variety is the spice of life !!! You cannot expand your horizons if you automatically shut down and feel as though you have it all figured out. I got news for you, you don't and you won't until you are lying on your death bed. I do not care who you are or how worldly and educated you may be, we never stop learning unless we hold ourselves back with preconceived notions. Knowledge IS Power...
AND if you should feel the need to post on an otherwise different, yet similar stage:
Your Economy OT - Conspiracy, Politics, Religion, Terrorism, War (whatever else you can think of) (YE2OT)
It's open and ready for business. Over there you can post whatever you like to your hearts content, especially political/economic articles and commentary that does not quite fit in at YE1. So now you have 2 boards - One for economics, markets, trends, data, news, commentary, etc. - a more serious site for those who want the straight dope. And now the YE2OT board for everything else. I will play Moderator, but I am taking applications for an assistant who would control 90%+ of the interaction over there.
If people choose, they can travel between boards if they need a fix of some controlled chaos at YE2OT and then want some cold hard facts as (YE1) was intended.
I want everyone to have a voice, now you have a choice .. enjoy
