WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunrise Telecom Incorporated (SRTI) announced that its Board of Directors has approved an amendment to the company's Restated Rights Agreement dated June 10, 2014 (the "Rights Agreement). The amendment extends the term of the Rights Agreement by three years. The purpose of the Rights Agreement is to help protect the Company's net operating loss carryforwards ("NOLs"), which can be used in certain circumstances to offset future taxable income and reduce the company's federal income tax liability.
