At Revett, our environmental philosophy can best be described as “responsible use.” Like Teddy Roosevelt, we believe that with care and planning, we can utilize our natural resources to benefit today's generation while leaving a valuable natural legacy for the generations that follow.
Copper and silver ore play a vital role in today's modern world. It is used in computers, telephones, solar energy cells, electrical components, air and water purifiers, aerospace, and medicine. The challenge is to recover the ore in a responsible manner.
How does that work in practice? Before we move a single pebble, we have carefully planned the entire project. Working with regulators and scientists, we know how we will manage the operation to protect neighboring wildlife and habitat, how we will preserve water quality, how we will restore the landscape when the project is completed, and how we will monitor it for years afterward to ensure that the environment is protected.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, “In utilizing and conserving the natural resources of the nation, the one characteristic more essential than any other is foresight.”
We couldn't have said it better.

That's why we're committed to building a connection with our neighbors and providing a clear and open view of the Rock Creek Project. By incorporating suggestions from stakeholders and following through with commitments, we hope to earn your trust as good neighbors.
This Agreement will establish and maintain lines of communications between the managers of Rock Creek and area residents to address any concerns and answer any questions they may have about the development and operation of the mine.
In addition, the Agreement will provide local groups, elected officials, and individuals with an opportunity to participate in decisions about the project that may affect their local community, economy, or environment.
For example, if the plan calls for us to move part of the Rock Creek Road, rest assured we're committed to working with our neighbors to make sure that what we do meets everyone's needs.
As part of this effort, we will be holding information meetings to keep our neighbors informed about the Project, and we're already meeting with local officials and groups to listen to their concerns.
Our commitment to being a good neighbor extends beyond Lincoln and Sanders counties downstream to the folks in Idaho. It is our hope you join our effort to ensure that Rock Creek will be a good neighbor.
